For those worrying about the fielding, this was in 2ks baseball more or less and it was super fun in that, so i wouldnt expect it to be any less here.
with gardner it was easy pickins but with soeone like duda it was an adventure.

In RTTS, have they made Catcher a playable option? Every other position has the option to skip to plays that they are involved in, or skip playing defense altogether. Catcher was forced to play every single game, and this made it an unusable option. Even with Random Counts on, this would still be basically unusable, due to it taking so much longer than any other position.

Please tell me in RTTS, as a Catcher, you can skip playing defense or skip to making defensive plays and are not forced to play every pitch.
Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoatnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be at the rghit pclae. I have an online franchise question: Would a couple buddies and I be able to control/co-manage one team? This way, when one of us is online, we could play the games and keep the franchise going, but when a couple of us are online we could play co-op and control the team together. This would be awesome if it's possible but I haven't seen this verified anywhere!

If you read/watch the RTTS blog, it explains how catching in RTTS works this year, you don't have to play every pitch..I forget off the top of my head the exact details but from what you said i think you will like how it is this year.

co-op dont think so, but the ability to share a team sure you would just have to give everyone the proper commissioner responsibilities so they can move users to different teams

In the games you guys have played, how are the come-backers to the mound that bounce off your pitcher?

I must have missed it. Do you have a link while I look for one?

Also, is the "Line drive back at the pitcher smashes him in the face/chest, and he runs over and picks it up and throws you out at first" animation gone? I got so tired of that, and the pitcher was NEVER injured. Even if it is Day-to-Day with a bruise...SOMETHING should have happened.

                    From the Dev blog:
                    Playing RTTS as a Catcher

It has always been a long and arduous task to play RTTS as a Catcher, but some major changes to that experience should change all of that. You are no longer required to call every pitch in the game while your team is on defense. Instead, you will now only be calling pitches when there are runners in scoring position (when it really matters). Also, you now have to actually catch each pitch as it crosses the plate with the new Catcher’s Glove Indicator. You will use it similar to how you use the PCI when batting with the Zone or Zone Plus Analog batting mechanics. You don’t have to be perfect with your accuracy, but missing the pitch location by too much will result in your Catcher missing the pitch and having the ball potentially bounce away. If you are really accurate with your catches, you will successfully frame the pitch, thus increasing the chances that a borderline pitch will go your way. Blocking pitches in the dirt is also part of your responsibilities, which you can do by quickly moving your glove down towards the dirt when you see the pitch heading that way. Occasionally, you will also be required to field your position on pop-ups or dribblers in front of the plate, but for those plays you do not need to call the pitch.

We'll see how it plays out, but I am not overly fond of this:

I don't use PCI, so I hope this is adjustable...otherwise, it may be just as bad. Or it may be a good addition. I'll find out next Wednesday.

Why is does it seem so hard for them to make Catcher just like the other positions? Yes, make them field the bunts and popups, and pickoff/stolen base attempts. Why add the difficulty of blocking pitches in the dirt? That would be akin to any other infielder having to account for bad hops while fielding (which they don't have to do).

So it sounds like the presentation on the PS3 version has not changed much since 13.

I really hope the presentation will be improved on the PS4 version. When I say presentation I mainly am talking about the "TV style overlay stats". Like for example I would like the Home Run overlay pop up stat box to act and look more like what you usually see on a real baseball TV broadcast. Notice in the video below how the Home Run stat overlay box popped up while the batter was rounding the bases with the camera locked on the batter? This is how it should be in MLB The Show to give it a more TV style broadcast feel.

Will MLB 14 The Show PS4 version finally have something just like this?

At the very least the camera should be locked on the batter who just hit the Home Run when the Home Run Stat Overlay pop up box is shown. Heck instead of when the batter is rounding the bases you could have the Home Run Stat Overlay box pop up when the batter is crossing Home Plate too.

I'm not really sure what you mean by control and input. Its random as far as I can tell. Pitching I've started a game off in say a 2-2 count, that guy reaches. Now next ab, its still early and my pitchers confidence is still high, maybe I get a 1-1 count or maybe I get lucky and get 0-2. On the flip side, say I started off 3-2 and that guy reaches, then next batter its 2-2 and he draws a walk..Well third batter I might be down 3-0 and the inning just spirals out of control. I will pay more attention and write down some of the counts in key situations and how my pitcher responded. Its hard to go off memory what the exact situations were. But it doesn't seem to be predetermined, like anytime you have 2 on, the next count will automatically be a hitters count. You might get thrown a bone and get 0-2 or 1-2, with a chance to get out of the inning. I'm assuming this does tie into pitcher confidence.

Sorry if that has been answered before, but are there ever any 0-0 counts when using quick counts? I'd imagine there would have to be a rare one here and there??
