I downloaded the roster file LETSGOMETS89 V1 (make sure you get the one with the capital "V" in "V1"; that fake roster turdmonkey is back at it again).

This file only has 25 players on the 40-man roster for each team. This alleviates that lineups issue since it's caused by the CPU trimming down MLB squads from 40 to 25 after Spring Training.

Note: You have to use Franchise mode and not Season Mode. In Season Mode you only have 25 players on your team and everyone else is a free agent instead of being in your minor league system.

So after starting a new Franchise with this roster file, I went ahead a simmed through Spring Training (with injuries turned off for the sim) and advanced to the Regular Season. Lineups were perfect.

Before playing any games, I went through every team's AAA squad and added 15 players to the 40-man roster (top 8 pitchers and top 7 position players, including at least 1 catcher). It took 20 minutes tops. If you want to be more meticulous than I was, it could take a little longer, but it's MUCH faster than other fixes previously posted.

So by filling every team's 40 man roster, if the CPU has an injury on their MLB squad, they can call someone up from AAA, and everyone's also set for September Callups.

Here's some additional notes on settings/methodology and such:

You HAVE TO control all 30 teams. Assign your profile to the team you are playing with, and NO PROFILE to the rest of the teams.

Make sure GLOBAL SETTINGS are set to:
      Lineups/Rotations - Manual
      Injury Management - MLB Only
Everything else can be set to Auto if you'd like

      Start playing the games.

As each day progresses, you will be notified of various injuries around the league. For each injury alert, choose the appropriate action to take based on how long the player will be out (place on bench, 15-day DL, 60-day DL). If the player goes on the DL, the CPU will handle the AAA call-up appropriately.

If an injured player happens to be a starter (and therefore leaving an empty slot in the lineup) you will be prompted that such-and-such a team "Does not have 4 valid lineups". At that point, fix their lineup as you see fit.

If a starting pitcher is injured and you get the "Does not have a valid starting rotation" alert, I just hit auto-fix and the CPU handles it okay.

When you get an alert that a player is no longer injured, and/or off the DL, place him on the bench. Then go to the team's lineups and insert him back in.

And there you have it. Sounds like a lot, but it's really just a couple minutes of maintenance between games. And it does keep you well informed on what's going on around the league.
Ok, I must be doing something completely wrong. I'm starting a new franchise and using the rosters LETSGOMETS89 V1. I'm only assigning a profile (profile1) to my team(the Braves). Then I'm turning CPU Roster control to ON leaving lineups/rotations at manual and injury management to MLB Only, everything else is Auto. Now when I get into my season, I notice that in Global settings with CPU Roster control ON injuries are turning OFF and it will not let me change it. Is this correct? I can't have injuries if using CPU Roster control ON?

The other thing is my lineups look screwed up no matter what I do. My lineup looks ok, but when I check a couple of other teams they look off. This is even before I have played a game in spring training. For instance, Derrick Lee is still batting 2nd for the Cubs, Jimmy Rolllins is batting 6th for the Phillies, and David Wright is batting 2nd for the Mets.

There has to be something I am missing.

Edit: Ok I went back and started a new franchise and instead of leaving every other teams profile blank, I put Profile1 for mine then hit square to select all and it inserted No Profile in to every other team(sorry I missed that the first time I read through your post). Now the lineups look fine. It still won't let me turn injuries on though.

i downloaded Knight's rosters last night, simmed through spring training after startin a new franchise, and adjusted all of the lineups. i am tweaking the rotations for each tonight. but, after reading about the LETSGOMETS V1 25 man rosters, i may download those.

there are still some issues that are conufising to me as far as injuries during the season of franchise, call ups, adjusting minor league rosters, etc. i have admit, i love this game- The Show- but my god it is pretty much a buzz kill. i do understand why the lineups change from the 40 to 25 and everything goes wacky but man, my head is spinning from all of this.
X2 I love this game but it is just so much to get it to what seems like simple gameplay or should I say sim-like.

These guys put a almost a month into getting these rosters to resemble MLB and what is happening now kinda sucks.

Don't want to beat a dead horse so I will again say thanks to the Rostermakers and to LETSGOMETS, Hokie, Hustleowl I believe for there input. Peace!!!

You don't have to turn CPU Roster Control On. Leave it off.

You have control of all the rosters by virtue of selecting them all at the Team Select Screen.

I keep delaying the start of my franchise because of the steps involved...I'm not looking forward to all the setup work involved...this is one problem that seems to haunt almost all team sports titles...

Thanks for the tips HokieB. I do have a question.

Do the 15 guys I add to the 40 man roster have to be from the AAA team? A lot of the best prospects are in AA. Do you know if the CPU can handle call ups from AA too? Any help would be appreciate.
                        Good job! Good effort!

Everything seems to be good with mine now thanks to your work. Am I right that cpu roster control setting does not matter then? As I think I left it on, wasn't sure what to do with it.

But then since I am NOT controlling any NL teams, maybe I was best to leave it on? I am letting the NL do whatever, don't care. Thats just me.

Yeah, you can add whoever you want to your 40-man roster; AAA, AA, A... it doesn't matter. I was just suggesting that folks use the top 8 pitchers and 7 position players from the AAA squad because you can really fly through the process if you keep a simple approach. For folks that want to take time to evaluate who they want on the 40-man roster, it will take longer.

I actually made sure Stephen Strasburg was on the Nats 40-man roster, even though he's in AA. I also took extra time to make sure injured stars like Cliff Lee were on the MLB roster for my Franchise. They are in AAA in the original roster file because they are injured in real life.
