    God, that is horrendous.

If you have Garza going healthy and pitching well for the first half of the season then I'd expect to get a package of no more than B, B- & C+/C potential prospects.

I maybe the only Cub fan that likes Garza and plans on keeping him! I may try to get rid of Soriano, Stewart, and Marmol and go after some prospects to try to compete in year 2 of my dynasty. I'm going to bring up either Baez or Soler immediately and go young from the start.

I see Almora as a bust in real life. I think he could be a decent 4th outfielder. There is really nothing to prove my theory but its just a gut feeling and I hope I am wrong.

Hmm...looks like you don't know what you are talking about...

The trade mentioned is absurd and ridiculous, but a healthy Garza pitching well could EASILY fetch an A and at least a couple Bs.

Last trade deadline, before Garza was injured, the Cubs nearly got Olt, Martin, and one or both of Perez/Holland for Garza + Marmol + Russell. Marmol and Russell have marginal value at best, so Garza is clearly a valuable trade chip you are underrating.

                Why is Soler a 75?

I'm not sure where you live but to say that the bears pack rivalry is uneventful couldn't be further from the truth. Really the only thing eventful about the sox-cubs was Michael Barrett punching out AJ Pierzynski! Before 97, the sox were 10-0-2 in the charity game they played. Other than that, the owners had the rivalry, not the teams since they only played once, in the 1906 World Series which the Sox won 4-2...

Both teams have almost never been good together
If anything its only viewed as a rivalry because its a division opponent
You clear don't know what constitutes a rivalry if you really think The Cubs and Sox aren't rivals just because they're in different Leagues
And what does the Bears Packers Rivalry record have to do with anything

I'm probably underrating him, but I tend to err on the side of caution when dealing my players at the deadline. I remember that proposed deal getting tossed around so you are more than likely correct on what a healthy/producing Garza could reel in.

I think I just overreacted when I saw Bundy & Machado in the same deal to get my point across.

Sorry, my post was supposed to say Perez/Holland at the end, not Martin a 2nd time.

Also, no worries. Bundy and Machado is laughable but Garza has plenty of value if he's healthy.

The White Sox vs Cubs rivalry is artificial and boring. It's a joke rivalry that only matters to the casual fans.

The Cubs have a much more interesting and relevant rivalry with the Cardinals. Honestly, in the stretch from 07-10, the best Cubs rivalry was with Milwaukee. That was intense and heated.

Like I said, the White Sox rivalry is silly and forced. It doesn't feel authentic or necessary at all. It's purely for the casual fans in Chicago to bark at each other. The players (outside of the Pierzynski thing) don't care about the rivalry and rarely ever have.

I'm not from Chicago or Illinois for that matter but I always like to watch the Cubs and WSox. It may not be the Cubs Cardinals rivalry but I still feel it is one. Its the only interleague series I look forward to all year.

I can't feel good with my franchise executing crazy trades like that so I was just seeing if anyone had come by any good combination. I'd love to keep Garza, but I know him and Soriano are the best trade bait (with Marmol) so I'm trying to get this team young and good.
