Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
will u be posting an update soon,or r u convinced the orginal settings work best! i tried the cpu at -8 contact and cpu power at -1, i like it there too but when i tried those cpu hitting sliders i left the pitch speed at default(your original setting) im skeptical on raising the pitch speed +2 because im afraid the ball might take off to fast when its hit, even though i havent tried pitch speed at +2, I also havent tried ur human hitting sliders yet contact at -8 and power default i will give it a shot the hitting sliders for both user and cpu with pitch speed at default, any reason why u raise the pitch speed to +2,does it work well with the ball dynamics that when the ball is hit it looks realistic coming off the bat, like a smooth ground ball or a fly out to the outfield, does +2 pitch speed give u the same ball dynamics as ur orginal setting becuz of the change of HUM/CPU hitting sliders,i think ur orginal set is great my only problem sometimes is the cpu and even me were not scoring enough runs, but with the HUM/CONTACT AT-8 and power at default and CPU/CONTACT at-8 and power at -1, i feel those will work great off ur original set because ive tried the cpu hitting sliders of -8 contact, power default it work great!! but i will have to play a few more games to really know and this time i will add the human hitting sliders as well, nemesis do u play with pitching meter on or use classic pitching,i might convert to classic pitching becuz 1, I think it will be more challenging and 2, i wont have to look at the meter on screen, i can stare the batter down,is there a slider change if i go to classic pitching? 1 more question im confused about, does swing influence have to be on to hit with the left stick, i like to hit where the ball is pitch by using the left stick, i just dont know if i need swing influence on or off. Thanks............NasaLast edited by steven; 06-24-2007, 02:37 PM.Comment

As far as pitching goes, I like meter the best. Classic is a little too random for me.
Swing influence and the left stick are two different things. The left stick you use to aim where the ball is approaching to hit. Swing influence is an optional step in the hitting process that is done with the RIGHT stick. You can influence hits to certain parts of the field, try for sac flys, push bunts to the left or right side of the field etc. If you have this feature on, before the pitcher deals you would flick the right stick in the direction you want to influence. UP for a fly, down for a grounder, left or right side of the field etc. Ultimately, pitch speed, location and timing determine the true outcome of the ball and that would override your request. Just because you request it does not automatically means it happens. I hope that helps!“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
The pitch speed increase is something that I wanted to try. The pitch speed slider adjusts the visual effect of ball speed. I find this slider a personal preference based more on user skill. I do find myself liking the contact at -8 for the cpu and human. I am not settled on power yet!

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
nemesis
Haven't been here for awhile but wanted to let you know how things are going.
I am using your sliders you posted on The Show's site and have played 52 games and haven't had to make any adjustments. The games are varied and still giving realistic results. The only thing that isn't quite right is the BB for both me and the cpu. Of course with me it's because I don't have enough patience though in one game I took 4 bb in a row to score a runFor the cpu I believe it's again because of me and my pitching style ie I throw more strikes than I really should.
Right now I'm 25-27 with the Cubs and having a blast. I've never played an entire 162 games on a console but I think with The Show it is finally going to happen.
Thanks again for putting these out there for everyone to enjoy.

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
I have Human Contact/Power at -8/+1 and CPU contact/power at -8/0 and am actually thinking of raising the CPU's contact a notch or two, for some reason teams just cant hit for a decent average against me. Ive currently won 9 games in a row with LA and am 20-12 with them. Im not exactly scoring a ton of runs but I need to keep raising the CPU's contact and/or power to get more of a challenge, Im just afraid that by doing this it will become even tougher to strike guys out. Any feedback you might have about this nemesis?Comment

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
I just downloaded your sliders and i have a question. On here, the players relief is +3, however the download has it at 0. Which one is it?Comment

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
To make things clear I treat default as 0. Any tweak to the right will have a (+) in front of it and any tweak to the left will have a (-) in front of it.
Human
Pitcher Fatigue:
-Starting: 0
-Relief: +3
Pitch movement: +8
Pitch Command: -8
Wild Pitch Freq: +3
Contact: -10
Power: +1
Plate Awareness: -3 (This is your ability to make contact, try adjusting this also instead of just contact and power. It should be a combination of all three)
Error Freq: +10
Throwing Strength:+2
Throwing Accuracy:-4
Fielder Speed:-2
Passed Ball Freq: +3
Injury: +3
CPU
Pitcher Aggr.: -8
Pickoff Attempt Freq.: -6
Contact: -10
Power: -1
Batter Plate Discipline: +5 Changed on 5-20
Fielder Reaction Time: -10
Throwing Strength: +2
Throwing Accuracy: -4
Error Freq: +10
Base running Aggr.: -3
Stealing Aggr.: +2
Stolen Base Freq.: +3
Injury: +3
Hook: +3
Global
Pitch Speed: 0 (I still like default but this you can adjust to your liking)
Umpire consistency: -4
Pitch Count: +7
Wind: +7
Notes:
-API is Off
-These were developed from using the pitching meter. If you use classic pitching, some things will have to be adjusted. Especially the command slider.
-I have the strike zone off and vibration off. That is up to you!

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
Unfortunately the slider really does not work. The thought process was to increase fatigue to tighten up the longevity of the relievers. You can try it at +3 or higher but I did not see much difference.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment
