nemesis , how many hits are you getting per game? also how many of those are extra base hits?
i love to play with low contact, as teh hit variety increases greatly...but i am afraid it will take my extra base hits...and make me hit only singles and HRs.

It really varies from game to game. Some are a singles festival and some are slugfest. On average I see anywhere from 6-10 hits per game, about 3 are extra base hits with a HR added in.

I would say no. Here is a thread where they list some sliders for MOM:

Who do you want to strike out? You or the cpu?

You can adjust plate discipline to make the cpu swing more but the problem is your pitch selection and location. If your approach is pedestrian you will get hit against. You really need to think like a pitcher to go against the cpu hitters.

i play with human contact -8, power at default, and cpu contact at -8, and power at default, and cpu plate discipline at +2, ive been getting good games with these settings, and the ball dynamics seem to play well also.
just a word of thought!! Thanks...........Nasa

The -8 / 0 combo works pretty well!

I was wondering if your sliders are the same for the PS2 and PS3. I'm picking up a PS3 on July 15th when the price drops and will be getting the Show. Kind of want to keep my sliders if its possible. The only thing that sucks is that I've played around 110 games with my Tigers and I will lose my season when I start brand new. I'll probably be playing NCAA a lot as well so I probably wasn't going to be able to finish my season.

You will need to make some tweaks but overall should be able to play with your original set. Glad to see you are picking the ps3, let me know if you have any questions!

Hopefully we can play a few games online!

                                Notes:

                                -API is still Off
-These were developed from using the pitching meter. If you use classic pitching, some things will have to be adjusted. Especially the command slider.
-I have the strike zone off and vibration off. That is up to you!
Thanks for the update, Im using the -8/+1 for Con/Pow for Human and -8/0 for CPU and I still cant get the CPU to create enough offense. Im assuming that part of my problem is my pitching staff is just that good, but at the same time I really hope that it gets tougher, I should also probably keep in mind that I just finished playing the Nats and their offense is terrible on the game. I turned the wild pitch setting back to default, Penny had thrown 7 in his first 5 or so games and that just seemed like way too many, but other then the settings I just listed everything else is the same as yours, having a good time, once I play a team with a decent offense I will report back, but as of right now I just need to generate more offense for the CPU without sacraficing strikeouts. Thanks again though.

EDIT- How is the gameplay with the CPU Plate Discipline at -1? Im thinking the one thing that can make a huge difference in CPU offense may be this slider, when thinking back I can remember many times where a pitch is thrown right down the heart of the plate and the CPU doesnt even offer at it, if they were a little more free swinging maybe they would be more inclined to swing at these pitches. I would like to think that by doing this they may hit a few more HR's, strikeout a few more times thanks to chasing the ball more often and provide more of a challenge, I admit, that with this at +5 Im not afraid to throw the ball right down the pipe just to get ahead, and in all honesty thats not the way a pitcher pitches obviously. With this setting at -1 is the CPU swinging at everything or are they still pretty selective but will pounce on pitches that are fat and right over the plate?
