Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
Hey nemsis, not to get this too far off topic but I wanted your take on something. Are you seeing a bunch of rediculous trades or are you playing with roster control on? I didnt turn it on and am under the understanding that with it on you can make any trade you want, the CPU wont even gauge whether or not it wants the deal, it will always just show that it does want the deal, which of course means I cant really make trades to imrpove my own team without constantly having to police myself.
On the other hand, with it off, Im seeing guys like Manny Ramirez, Carlos Lee, Chipper Jones, Paul LoDuca being traded for next to nothing. And then there are stars still sitting on the trading block like Youkilis, Hideki Matsui, Thome, Dye, Sheffield, Pudge, Polanco, Magglio, Carlos Guillen, Ichiro, Teixeira, Michael Young, Smoltz, Carlos Lee, Renteria, Andruw Jones, Uggla, Miguel Cabrera, Hanley Ramirez, Manny, Lidge, Chipper, Oswalt, Brandon Webb, Helton, Matt Holliday, Barry Bonds and Zito. Im at my end with these roster moves, its not even 60 games in for some of those teams and they are already selling off every single piece they could build around, not all of these are far-fetched but the Marlins shopping Hanley and Uggla while keeping Dontrelle? Colorado shopping their best player in Holliday for no apparent reason other then to piss of their fan base? I enjoy the game but if I have to restart because I should have started with the roster control turned on then Im done for this season, Ive played 59 games and have no desire to replay them at this point either. Just wondering what your take is and what you have seen at this point in your season.
The cpu trading is flawed in the game. I know the developers know about it because they have a thread stickied about this. I have roster control on to make sure things are set properly.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
It would be -5 on the ps2 to have the same effect as the ps3 setting. The slider is switched in the 2 versions.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
I still dont understand, so from default on PS2 sliders do i count 5 clicks to the left which will leave the cpu plate discipline at 5,or do i count 5 clicks to the right which will leave the cpu plate discipline at 15, i would think i would count 5 clicks to the right so you can get ur pitchcounts,if i count 5 clicks to the left the cpu would swing at everything, right? and i would not get pitchcounts, get back to me on this, im confused. Thanks..........NasaComment

if the cpu plate discipline is -5 for the PS2,so then why do i see the cpu plate discipline +5 on page 19 for PS2 sliders, did nemesis update his PS2 sliders lately that the cpu plate discipline is -5, i thought his last update was for the PS3.

I do not see updated sliders on page 19. I see ones from a post from someone else.
Anyway, the cpu plate discipline slider for the ps2 went to the left of default if you did not want the cpu to swing aggressively and to the right of default for them to be more aggressive.
On the ps3 the slider is opposite meaning the right of default to have them less aggressive and to the left of default to make them swing aggressively.
I hope this helps!“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
so is there an updated set for ps2 other than your orig set that we should be trying? cause now im confused lol or is the ps3 set the same set you were using just modded? if so what were your final slider set for ps2 before you went to ps3? reason i ask is that i still cant lose on a super consistant basis... houston the other super team in my chise has. their lead is now just 8.5 at the break when it was 13.5. my lead at the break is 15.0 game over LAA....
any help on this slider confusion would be greatly appreciated Nem. thanks"Baseball is life, without Baseball life itself ceases to exist." - Ken SpragueComment

To make things clear I treat default as 0. Any tweak to the right will have a (+) in front of it and any tweak to the left will have a (-) in front of it.

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
Hey nemesis I should have posted this over a month ago but here goes. I put the error slider at +10 and for a while I was experiencing some realistic errors. I was seeing infielders boot hard hit ground balls and make bad throws when off balance but the one thing that I saw happening and couldnt accept was seeing outfielders get under a fly ball, put their glove up to make a catch only to have the ball bounce off the glove and hit the ground.
Has this ever happened to anyone else with the error slider at +10? I couldnt accept this anymore so I moved the slider back to default. I can watch an entire week of Baseball Tonight on ESPN and see infielders boot ground balls and make bad throws. Same goes for the outfielders but how often does an outfielder get under a fly ball only to have it bounce off his glove? Doesnt happen much but when I had the error slider at +10 I was seeing this happen waaaaaaaaay to much and it got annoying. What makes this "error" even more annoying is when a fly ball is hit by an fast runner and the ball is booted I'm looking at giving up an inside the park home run. Ohh and dont let this thing happen when its 2 outs and runners on base because then I'm giving up a run or 2 when I should be out of the inning.Comment

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
Solidsnake--I've seen the outfielder drop a routine fly ONCE in well over 100 games, and that was back when I'd first gotten the game, before I started messing with sliders. I play with the error slider at +10 and haven't seen that yet at that setting, though I have seen the infielders boot the ball as you're describing. I think I see an average of an error a game (total) or thereabouts, but it may be that I haven't played enough games at this setting to see the amount of errors you're seeing.Comment
