Well Nemesis, I'm sad to say that I'm now 6-0 with my newly started Rays franchise. I just defeated the Yankees 15-3 with my 4th starter Jackson pitching vs. Joba Chamberlain.

All I had to do was stick my bat out and the ball was flying all over the place to my advantage. Hr's, doubles, singles.

I pretty much shut down their offense. I had 21 hits!, 6 k's and walked a season high 3!!! Wow, 3 walks (can we say 2006 all over again)

All 3 walks came vs. one pitcher Awaga! As soon as they brought in Farnsworth, the walks stopped.

I try and try to work the count but that simply gets me strikeouts so I swing away and get 21 hits.

Balls are too close to take thus leading to too many hits.

Shame on you SCEA! All you had to do was cut and paste the 2007 game, slap on some beautiful graphics and you would have the greatest game ever made.

Instead you copied 2006 style of play and tried to cover it up with nice graphics. Shame on you Kolbe and the rest of you.

    This game flat out stinks!

Oh and by the way, most of my 21 hits were once again to the opposite field.

Nemesis, I'll be using your sliders on 2007. Hopefully, enough of us will complain to the SCEA gang and they will make next years game closer to 2007.

No sliders will fix what's under the hood.

Sorry for the negativity guys but someone has to get the truth out. This game stinks.

Do me a favor put the hit quality and power where you had it for 07 or did you have it there already?

Did you pitch with classic or meter?

What type of errors did you have? Were they all throwing?

Overall, how was the flow of the game?

Two errors were infield throwing errors, and one was bobbled. The flow was very good, it was challenging and I was able to draw 4 walks. I am going to play another one using my franchise should be a better test.

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis MLB 08)

I have to say this game is starting to frustrate me big time. Its real rare for me to shut a game off in the 6th inning, but I have done this twice now with mlb08 so far. Its probably the fact that I am trying to play at a higher level than I should be. Whats the deal is ALL-STAR the hardest level, or HOF? I have read mixed reviews on this. I do know this much, tomorrow I will try a game with guess pitch on because ever since I have turned this off doubles are few and far. Imo I have got good enough to aim the left stick in the zone but it dosen't matter. The most annoying thing though is when the pitchers get down 3-0,3-1 and never walk ya. Its got to the point to where I just put down the controller to see what will happen, and ends up a strikeout. I sure hope the roster edits make this game play better. Buy the way I have strike% at -5

                  Reds (Me) 12 - 18 - 0

CG for Aaron Harang with 6Ks

Reds had 4HRs Votto (2) Phillips, Hatteberg
                  2B Freel

Dont know what to think of these sliders seemed like the game played a lot easier than Skyboxer's Allstar sliders

Those of you who are pounding the CPU, are you using the power swing button? I don't use it and I have only had one game where I scored 12+ runs. I suggest turning the speed up to (+7) if you are destroying the CPU with ease. Also all aids must be turned off, strike zone, guess pitch, classic pitching on. Just what I have found for what its worth.

had a great game with your sliders nem.

                      SF 5 8 2
                      Mets(me) 1 4 0

                      WP: Matt Cain 6inn 3h 1er 3k
                      LP: Santana 8inn 7h 5er 7k

I had a triple with church.
SF had 2 HR and a double.

                      all in all great game.

BTW i dont use the left stick to hit..so maybe thats why u guys are beating the cpu so easily.

I did not use the power button and all pitching and hitting aids were turned off the only way I play. Only feature I used was the Right analog to influence the flight of ball

Hmmm. I wasn't even aware of that feature. Maybe that is a good thing. Something I have been doing also is taking pitches when I am batting. It seems to help me draw walks, and these sliders seem to be good for that. Now, if the user can throw walks and the catchers throw out base stealers then we would be in business.

Everyone has to play a few games to see what the trends are. A one game sampling is not going to give you an idea of where you have to adjust to.

Try them on All-Star. I do not know how they could be easier when things are tilted against you more. That puzzles me!

These are playing great for me, or maybe my hand-eye coordination is fading. I drew 5 walks in this game, and the total strikeouts were at 16. I know there is always room for improvement, but it seems this will be as get as it gets until a patch comes out. Magnificent Nemesis.
