Plus try this, don't push the L2 button until you see the AI pitcher lift his leg. It adds to the realism as well. Don't push the button before the pitch and don't take that extra step lead.

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis MLB 08)

I finished my first game with your sliders, and here are the results:

      R H E
      NYM 10 14 0
      CIN 6 14 0

      NYM
      2B: Castillo, Schneider
HR: Delgado, D. Wright, R. Gotay
HBP: Beltran, Delgado, Alou (All 3 were inside breaking balls)
      SB: Beltran
      CS: Beltran

      O. Hernandez (W) 5 IP, 10 H, 6 ER, 2 BB, 7 SO
      D. Sanchez (H) 2 IP, 1 H, 2 SO
      P. Feliciano (S) 2 IP, 3 H

      CIN
      2B: B. Phillips, A. Gonzalez
      HR: K. Griffey Jr., A. Dunn (2)
      SAC: M. Belisle
      GIDP: K. Griffey Jr.
      E: E. Encarnacion

      M. Belisle 5 IP, 7 H, 5 ER, 6 SO
      G. Majewski (L) 0.2 IP, 4 H, 3 ER
      T. Coffey 0.1 IP
      J. Affleldt 2 IP, 1 H, 2 SO
      D. Weathers 1 IP, 2 H, 2 ER

Pretty good game overall, even though I came out on the losing side. I doubt both balls the Dunn hit have landed yet. Weathers sucks, but I'm sure any Cincy fan already knew that. This game was an absolute offensive explosion, mainly because the computer and I punished mistakes. This is the first game using the power swing. I only used it when I felt a big hack was needed. I thought it would make it too easy, but it worked out.

        First game with these sliders

        Dodgers(CPU) 0-2-0-0-0-0-0-0-0 2-4-0
        Atlanta(me) 0-0-0-0-1-0-1-1-x 3-8-1

        1 HR for them...
        2 HR's for me...

They struck me out 3 times
I was able to get 9 K's on them

One error was more my fault then CPU generated.

        1 SB in the game

They did however have like 5-6 diving catches....All made...

        Enjoyed the game....enjoying the sliders...Thnx

I have a set that I used for All-Star, I am going to test it out more. These lopsided scores that some people are seeing really bother me. I want to know why they are occurring.

P.S. Don't take leads from the bases and then try to steal. I have already been caught stealing with Carlos Beltran and Endy Chavez in the game I am playing now. At least this will not make every stolen base attempt an automatic steal.
Are you playing with pitch speed at +7? I am currently at default but I do not see all these offensive explosions.

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis MLB 08)

I am struggling Nemesis to have fun with this game. I just beat Verlander with the Royals 12-2. I did draw a walk and a hits batsmen though. I guess thats ok but I was finding myself happy when I didnt hit a single. I really started hacking and going for doubles and HR's. That led to HR's by Gorden and Butler. I bought a PS3 just for this game and purchased the show 07 and was amazed with the gameplay. I am so confused about what went wrong. I am praying you and Knight can somehow make the game playable. Either way thanks for the work Nem.

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis MLB 08)

                    I made some slider adjustments:

                    Pitch Speed: 0
                    Human Con: -10
                    Hum Pow: +1
                    Timing Window: +4
                    CPU Con: +10
                    CPU Pow: +1

I got some pretty decent results:

                    STL (Me) 3/8/0
                    HOU (CPU) 10/14/0

                    W: Oswalt - 7.0 IP, 8 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 8 SO
                    L: Lohse - 6.0 IP, 9 H, 7 ER, 4 BB, 1 SO

                    2B: HOU - Bourn, Tejada, Lee / STL - Duncan, Ankiel (2)
                    3B: HOU - Bourn
HR: HOU - Matsui (f'n short porch) / STL - Kennedy

Summary: My first game pitching with the newly acquired Kyle Lohse didn't go so well. I walked a lot of hitters, which is a good thing since I usually lead the league in least walks with a crappy pitching staff. I was leaving way to many balls up to get hammered and they did. On the flip side I got nervous when I scored 2 off of Oswalt in the 1st inning. He settled down after that. The only run a got after that was a solo shot when Kennedy cranked a hanging curve into the seats in RF.

                    The Good:
                    - I lost and didn't get double digit hits.
                    - My pitching mistakes were punished.
                    - I didn't hammer the bullpen like I have been on HOF.

                    The Bad:
                    - 8 hits still seems like a bit much against Oswalt.
                    - Too many extra base hits for both sides. I may need to make power slider adjustments for Human and decrease the contact slider for the CPU.

I'll be playing a rematch with these exact same sliders with the same pitchers in a bit to look for trends. So far it was the best game I've had on HOF yet.

Yes, I am. I like to simulate the speed of the fastball like you were actually in the batters box. It comes upon you real fast, for those interested checked out the link in my signature and you will discover what the hardest thing to do in sports is. (You have to scroll to the bottom of the document.) It seems, for me at least, to make K totals more realistic also.

I messed with the computer power lost night and turned it up to +3, but the computer destroyed me! 12-2 was the final score and I was using the Mets. +2 for CPU power seems to be a good compromise.

Yes these are still working for me with just a couple more minor adjustments. I raised Pitch Speed to +5 and lowered Hum Plate Vision to -5 believe it was at -7 before and moved cpu pitch aggr down to -10. Here is my boxscore from my last game

This was a very fun game I as down 2-1 going with 2 outs in the 8th and singled with Hudson and then on a 2-1 Fastball homered with Byrnes to take the lead. The only issue that I had with the game was Peavy was cruising and through 6.2 had only threw around 78 pitches and I single for only my 6th hit and they take him out. I believe I am going to lower Manager Hook to +3 and test a few games with that. Because I believe I would have lost if Peavy had stayed in but of course thats baseball and managers make decisions like that all the time just the timing of it seemed odd. Overall I am getting a good variety of games and really enjoying it.

The -10, +1 set worked very well in 07. That was my favorite setting, it allowed for a lot of hit variety and just enough power to go yard. I am shocked that people can still dominate using that setting, that was unheard of last year. I am going to start bringing the timing window into the - to see if I can cut the offense down for the human player.

The line for the next game against Oswalt: 9 Runs, 19 Hits

                              Back to the drawing board...

Overall I am getting a good variety of games and really enjoying it.
Don't lower it too much because I find the cpu will leave the starter in to die on the mound. Generally at +5 the cpu does a good job! Just a heads up!
