Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis MLB 08)
Put the timing window at -2 and put the power at +2. I think you may see a difference. I like the timing window at -2 much better!“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Awesome! I'll give it a shot later today/tonight. I noticed a couple posts above you were discussing changing the CPU hitting - any progress/notes?Comment

Hey Nemesis, good to see your new set here. I used your sliders last year and am still using them on the PS2. Now the PS3 is a whole new ballgame to me and I've been struggling to get comfortable with a certain set. I really want to play on HOF, I'll be running with these for awhile.Highheat's O's Franchise

Hey Nemesis,
On your Set 3 for human hitting, if you are raising the hit quality like you did from set 1 to set 2, shouldn't you drop the power like you did from set 1 to set 2? Just curious?Highheat's O's Franchise

I am going to give this a shot too....I had tried timing window at -2 and got pretty good results with it but only used it for 1 game.BCS Express - TCU (yr 1 12-1)(yr 2 10-2)

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis MLB 08)
Set 3 is really for someone who likes to see a lot of offense. These 3 sets I brought over from 07 and work quite well. Last year I came up with 3 sets because people wanted to see different things out of the game. These 3 give you varying degrees of offense.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

It takes time to fine tune the game. The first set that comes out usually has rough edges around it. Those rough edges come to the forefront when a large base of people use them. I take that info and start to make adjustments. Last year it took a solid month of tweaking to get all the kinks out and then some small tweaks later on.
The biggest early success is having the cpu outfielders not using the cut off every time. I know no other set has this because most of the sets I have seen dumb down the cpu throwing strength. One success at a time!!“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis MLB 08)
Are you seeing doubles into the gap by both the CPU and Human? Those things have been bothering me with other sets including my own. I haven't seen many at all. I get the ones down the line, but I just once want to see a laser into the gap that rolls to the wall.Highheat's O's Franchise

To be honest though, they were more abundant last year. Trying to find ways to shake more out!

HOLY S***!!! Right on cue. I swear, 10 minutes since my last post and Michael Young rips one into the alley for a triple against me. That's the first one I've seen like that in this game. I've replayed it over 20 times now as I'm stunned.Highheat's O's Franchise

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis MLB 08)
One thing I've noticed after my last game, as I think the AI pitching is spot on, I believe the human pitching is still to easy to locate your pitches with classic. I think there needs to be adjustments there.
Final Boxscore from my last game.
BAL (me) - 6/14/1
TEX (cpu) - 1/8/0
- used Set 2 in the hitting for human.Last edited by highheatkingsb; 03-15-2008, 07:24 PM.Highheat's O's Franchise

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis MLB 08)
HH, I have to tell ya this doubles thing was making me wonder too. However, the last 4 games I have played have had more doubles, triples, then in something like 30 games I have played. The last game I played against the Rangers had 2 doubles and a triple for them, and I had 3 doubles using the RAYS. One of the doubles for the Rangers was a ground-ruler into the rightfield gap. I am using the EXACT sliders on page one, with the -2 timing window and +2 power. I am really liking these sliders. KUDO'S to Nemesis for the +5 CPU Throwing strength. This has eliminated the MILK-TRUCK from scoring automatically from second. I actually held up Gomes on a single to right in my last game because he was OUT if I would of sent him home. I am sure with the roster eduts this will game will play AWESOME!Last edited by The Bimmer; 03-15-2008, 07:27 PM.Comment
