    Changed the timing window for the cpu back to default(does not work) as per the AI guy from SCEA.

      Hey Nemesis, I have a question...

      Scenario: I hit a Ground Ball with Ellsbury along the LF-line, the Ball went almost completely through to the Monster and in "real" MLB, it's a stand up Double, but somehow Ellsbury's was thrown out at 2B and it wasn't even close (Jacoby still 2-3 steps away from the Base)
      That was one of the most unrealistic plays I have ever seen.

      I get similar scenarios very often, but this time it was too obvious.

      I have to say that I play with JT's Edited Roster, don't your sliders work with the edited roster?

        Yes they should. Where do you have the base running speed set at? I recently bumped it up one from default.

          i've noticed this exact type of senario myself a few times and think that the +5 for cpu throwing is just to strong, i know you have it set there to stop the cpu from using the cutoff man all the time but maybe thats one thing thats not fixable

            To be honest I really have not been thrown out from throws from the outfield. Also, I do not see a huge difference in the throwing speed at +5 where guys are getting gunned out constantly. Did you bump the the human running speed up slightly.

              this was with human baserunner speed at 0 i haven't tried at +1 yet so maybe that will help, the AI guy did say that fielder ability (and possibly reaction time)would be the one attribute to change to slow down the cpu running speed and not the speed attribute, hopefully knight and the boys noticed he said that and can add to their roster, that would make the biggest difference to me, the cpu outfielders just get to the ball in the corners far to quickly and then either throw you out or the play is far closer than it should be, the speed attribute could then just be left alone.

                If the fielder speed is slowed down it will help. He is working the roster edit around the +5 arm strength to keep that aspect of the outfielders throwing beyond the cutoff in the game. Otherwise too many cheap runs begin to pile up.

                  i just did a quick edit of two teams and cut the outfielders reaction time and fielding ability in half, i can already see a difference and thats in a good way, hit a ball into the corner that the cpu outfielder couldn't cut off and made it to 2nd w/o a problem like i should have, also had the cpu hit a gapper on me that i missed getting to by a bit and he also easied into 2nd base, one other time the cpu hit a ball down the left field line that i had to run flat out to catch, nice to see a running catch , i know this is only having played a few innings but its already evident these types of edits make a big difference, i also like that i never touched the speed rating either which can add many other problems because it also affects baserunning.

                    Knight mentioned that the outfielder issue would be cleaned up with the roster edits. It should open things up for people. Not that the human player needs anymore help, lol!

                        I'm not really speaking for Nem here....
                        But I'm pretty sure he worked them for the SCEA rosters....he and I just throw stuff back and forth....so I know where he's going and finding out with sliders, and I might have to or not have to adjust with edits.
                        Also...I just let him know what I'm seeing with edits...so he can keep it in the back of his mind that when I do put out a set that is edited....he can be on top of it pretty quickly.

                        Basically...we did this so that if he found something easily fixed by sliders....I wouldn't compound it by trying to then fix it with edits(which would be a LOT of time.)

                        But like I said...I can't speak for Nem !

                            Exactly, the slider sets that I develop come from SCEA rosters. I try to get things as close as possible and let Knight know of any trends that I am seeing or not seeing. I also try to let him know when a slider tweak will not do the job and maybe an edit would be in order to get something working properly.
