Re: Blzer's All-Star Sliders and Settings

I'm letting a CPU/CPU game run with these settings and sliders (Dodgers @ Giants), I'll post the stuff when I can.

The wind in this game is blowing out to RCF at 17 MPH, so while that is incredibly unrealistic for this stadium, I'll let it slide and let them homers fly.

Re: Blzer's All-Star Sliders and Settings

Just had another very good game that was a total opposite of my previous one. I was the Reds playing the Astros in Cinci with the wind blowing out 12mph. We combined for 7 HR 4 by them and 3 for me with the Astros taking the win by a score of 10 to 7. They had 13 hits to my 11. I struck out 9 times and they struck out 8. I walked 3 times and they walked 4 times. They managed to get to Owings early and jumped out to a big lead but in the 5th and 6th I was able to get to Backe and pull to within 8 to 6 but thats as close as I was able to get it. Other than the HRs there was only one other extra base hit a double by them oh and I commited 2 errors and they had 1. Mine were a throwing error and then Gonzalez booted one at short. Their error was a throwing error. Overall these sliders are looking very promising to me. I am going to try and get in another couple of games tonight and I will post the results of them if I do. Right now I am not seeing anything that needs to be changed about the sliders but then again I am only 2 games in with them. Good job so far though.

      4th & 1 - 49ers

      LOEG - Pittsburgh Penguins (11-8-4)

Re: Blzer's All-Star Sliders and Settings

Just beat the Orioles 5-4 with the Indians at Baltimore. They hit one HR, I hit two. It was a good game. A couple things, I thought the fielders moved a little too slow at times so I might tweak that a little...maybe. I tinkered with the idea of putting the pitch speed back at 5 to make hitting a little more difficult but haven't decided. It was a great game. I gave up the lead in the 8th and then Sizemore hit the GW 2-run HR in the 9th.

Re: Blzer's All-Star Sliders and Settings

So sorry I didn't post my box score of my CPU vs CPU game earlier. I was, once again, heading out the door. Luckily the game ended right before I had to go, so I only got one screencap in (didn't get the lineups and such, sorry). I would have left the system on, but the auto shut-off feature would have been in effect.

So like I said, the wind was blowing out at 17 MPH, though that wasn't the only factor for anything high scoring. I found that with CPU vs CPU, setting the Strike Frequency at 0 is too low. Either that, or the umpire had a tight zone (which he did). Combine those things, and the Giants get 8 runs in an inning... no comeback attempts whatsoever. How freakin' diverse is that?

But yeah, the wind was far too strong, and the ball count was very high. For CPU vs CPU, maybe put it at 2. Otherwise these sliders are working out just fine!

Bamafan, is that the PS2 version? I'm just asking because I wanted to know if these sliders work fine for PS2 and PSP as well.

I know how you feel about the fielders, but after watching some of this WBC, that's about how fast they run with respect to the size of the field, etc. I've been tweaking those sliders the most, but I think it's good as it is... at least for me. Again, we'll see how I want to finalize it.

No, this is for PS3. I made the switch last week...finally!!! Been running on PS2 for a long time but couldn't take it anymore and found a deal on my PS3.

Gotcha. I was also wondering because my game summary shows an inning-by-inning rundown (literally), and yours doesn't seem to show it.

You talking about the game log screen? I didn't capture that one.

I mean the screen that I'm looking at right now that you attached. Mine shows the number of runs that scored per half inning, rather than just the totals. Yours does not.

Ah...that's strange. Mine was an exhibition game, not a season or franchise game. Was yours from an exhibition game?

                              Blzer,

You know you can modify the Power Save feature right? By that I mean you can adjust the feature to stay on if you have a game running... only time the feature would be in effect is if no game is currently in session. Or maybe you have it set that way for a reason, I don't know - just thought I'd throw that out there.

No no, I know you can modify it, but like you said, not in game. I set it for one hour because I sleep to a Blu-ray like every night (normally a commentary track).
