    the cpu hitting needs to be adjusted, im pitching with king felix and cannot put any of his pitches past a batter and im facing the twins....definatly not realistc....thought youd like to hear the feedback from my gameplay

      Did you only try one game? I'm just asking because as you can see, other people are having plenty of success.

      Thanks for your input, though. I'm willing to look at a larger sample size and see what comes up of this.

        Here was the Boston vs. New York CPU game I let play out. The wind was blowing out 8 MPH to RCF, Woody Keller was the home plate umpire, and Strike Frequency was still at 0. I'm going to try the next game with Strike Frequency at 1 and see what comes up.



































































        No sign of "comeback AI," a close to proper number of fastballs and pitches thrown in general, not too many errors (the one was a throwing error from the outfield into second), and it's time for me to try it with a few more strikes thrown. Next game I'm letting play out is Washington @ Philadelphia, Woody Keller again behind the plate and the wind blowing out 8 MPH to left field.

        And most importantly, it was yet another diverse game from the other ones I showed you. No real sign of repetitive scoring and such here... nothing that you can "predict" the outcome with.

          Played another game earlier and won in extra innings. I bumped the pitch speed to 4 to make it a little more difficult to hit fastballs. I feel like I'm getting away with too much on the mound. I think the CPU misses alot of mistake pitches so I might look into that. Also, has anyone noticed how slow the outfielders are getting to the ball. Anytime there is a runner on 2nd and there's a basehit, there is hardly ever a close play at the plate. The outfielders just take too long getting to the ball.

            Yeah man, I just said the same thing a few posts back and it's not a slider issue. It just happens.

            As for the mistake pitches, I wouldn't jack anything up too much because of a small sample size you're looking at. Eventually you'll be getting hammered all around, especially with a fourth or fifth string pitcher, and you'll get frustrated to ****.

            As for pitch speed, I mostly have it on 3 because the empirical time it takes to get to home plate is about the same as real life, so it seems.

              Been watching baseball a long time and i think 120 pc for beckett is on the high side...fatigue might need to go up a notch?

                His energy was gone, I made sure to check because that's when I was looking for that one guy on the number of fastballs he had thrown in relation to everything else. He was just still in the ball game for some reason or another.

                And again, as for the high pitch count, it was because Strike Frequency was on 0. As of now it looks like for CPU vs CPU games it will need to go higher, maybe even 3. The CPU doesn't seem to swing out of the zone almost ever.

                  Good sliders...I'm getting some pretty good games. The only beef I have is with the left stick aiming. I love playing realistically with no strike zone, hot zones, etc. but hitting is WAY too hard for me since i cant get any solid hits unless I aim with the left stick correctly or i just leave it centered and get lucky with a pitch down the middle. If a pitch isn't down the middle and I leave it centered i ground out or fly out to the infield. One example is the Phills loaded offense (me) only getting 2 hits through 7 against Washington WORST prospect pitcher.

                  Anyway, my fix was simply to put guess pitch on "default" and it's allowing me to get a good number of hits per game. What do you think about that? Should guess pitch "default" be on?

                    Ok, just played a game with these sliders with guess pitch on "default" (read my previous post as to why) and I got my *** handed to me.

                    So hitting is still difficult...I was batting against Johan Santana just Tim Redding. I should've gotten more than 2 hits (both from Coste) Also strike outs seem high for pitchers like Eaton and Redding. 9 K's should be Santana again. Also, only 1 BB each. should be at least 4 total for the game on average. What do you all think?

                      Yeah Blzer, it's definitely the animation issue. It really sucks too. That is my biggest beef with the game so far. Guess that's not saying much but still. I have not had one player thrown out at the plate or even come close in all the games I've played.

                        Looks like you got your share of strikeouts, quite surprising considering I haven't gotten those numbers. And it also just goes to show you that games are either that diverse or the guy pitching with King Hernandez just needs more practice (seemingly, as do I).

                        As for hitting, man I don't know what to tell you. To get more successful hits with those corner pitches, I suggest that you raise the Solid Hits slider a little bit. How selective are you being at the plate? I'm drawing maybe 3 walks a game, so I'm being pretty selective and getting those deep counts when necessary.

                          If it means anything, I've gotten some, especially on the fly ball ones. The ground ball ones I haven't gotten many, but I definitely remember getting one with Vlad in that Angels/Rangers game I posted the box score for.

                              LOL man that's really weird. That's the screen that pops up at the end of the game for me, no screen clicking whatsoever.
