Re: TNK - 2012 Realism Sliders Thread

I increased both contact and timing and the results were a little more realistic for me. Although I noticed that I started realizing I'd get contact more so started swinging more ending up with less walks than a usual game would. However, I'm satisfied with the first game of me increasing them. I won 2-1 with 10 hits.

      TNK - RED SOX FRANCHISE

CLEVELAND INDIANS vs. BOSTON RED SOX
GAME #34 of the season (Pitching Matchup - Jairo Asencio vs. Felix Doubront)

The Red Sox look to extend their winning streak to 6 games as they send Felix Doubront to the mound, Cleveland starter Derek Lowe was scratched from his start with an injury and Jairo Asencio got the call to make the emergency start for the Tribe. Adrian Gonzalez gets his 1st day off of the season with Kevin Youkilis getting the start at 1st base and Will Middlebrooks getting the nod at 3rd base. The Indians got off to a fast start as Johnny Damin led the game off with a solo HR down the RF line to give Cleveland a 1-0 lead. Carlos Santana hit a solo HR of his own and the Indians had a 2-0 lead after the top of the 1st inning. The Indians went right back to work in the top of the 2nd inning as Michael Brantley led off with a double and came in to score on an RBI single by Lou Marson to make it 3-0. The Indians then loaded the bases with 1 out for Asdrubal Cabrera with a chance to really blow this game open but Doubront would strike out Cabrera and Santana back to back to end the inning and keep the score 3-0. Boston stranded two men on base in the bottom of the 2nd inning and we would head to the 3rd with the Indians leading 3-0. Shin-Soo Choo was injured in the top of the 3rd when he slid into 2nd base to break up a double play and had to leave the game, he was replaced by Aaron Cunningham in RF. The Indians made it 4-0 in the top of the 4th on an RBI single by Asdrubal Cabrera. Cleveland stranded a couple runners on base in the top of the 5th as Doubront managed to give his team 5 innings of work on the mound despite his struggles. Will Middlebrooks led off the bottom of the 5th with a single but he was stranded on 3rd base as Asencio got Mike Aviles to ground out to end the inning and Cleveland would take a 4-0 lead into the 6th inning. Andrew Miller took over on the mound for Boston to begin the 6th and pitched Boston's first 1-2-3 inning of the game. Asencio continued to dominate as he sat the Red Sox down in the 6th to send the game to the 7th with the score 4-0. Miller pitched around an error by Dustin Pedroia in the top of the 7th to keep the Red Sox within striking distance. Asencio remained in the game to begin the bottom of the 7th despite the fact that he was running out of gas. The Red Sox took advantage as David Ortiz led off with a single and Kevin Youkilis blasted a 2-run HR into the monster seats to make it 4-2. Asencio was able to get through the rest of the inning and the score was 4-2 heading into the 8th. Andrew Miller sat the Indians down in order in the top of the 8th as he gave the Red Sox 3 terrific innings out of the pen. Vinnie Pestano came on in relief of Asencio to begin the bottom of the 8th inning and gave up a leadoff single to Ellsbury, Ryan Sweeney was up next and made a bid to tie the game with a long fly ball to RF that Cunningham caught just in front of the bullpens. Ellsbury stole 2nd base and Pedroia grounded out for the 2nd out bringing up David Ortiz and Pestano would get Ortiz to ground out to end the inning. Matt Albers would come on to pitch the top of the 9th for Boston and gave up a leadoff double as Johnny Damon picked up his 4th hit of the game. Damon moved to 3rd base on a ground out by Kipnis and Albers issued an intentional walk to Cabrera to bring up Santana with runners on the corners and one out. Albers got Santana to pop up for the 2nd out but Shelly Duncan picked up a big two out RBI single up the middle to increase the Cleveland lead to 5-2. The Red Sox were in need of a miracle as the Indians would turn the game over to their closer Chris Perez with a 3 run lead for the bottom of the 9th. Kevin Youkilis led off with a double, he was followed by Middlebrooks who struck out for the 1st out. Marlon Byrd delivered an RBI single to make it 5-3 and Boston would bring the tying run to the plate as Jarrod Saltalamacchia would be called on to pinch hit for Kelly Shoppach. Perez got Saltalamacchia to fly out to RF and the Sox were down to their final out. Mike Aviles came up and struck out to end the game as the Indians win 5-3 to snap the Red Sox winning streak at 5 games.

      * The Red Sox 5 game winning streak comes to an end

      * Dustin Pedroia had his 11 game hitting streak snapped as he went 0 for 4 with 3 K

      * Johnny Damon was 4 for 5 with a HR, 2 doubles, 1 RBI and 3 runs scored. Damon is having a hell of a series as he has gone 10 for 14 so far in 3 games with 4 doubles, 1 triple, 1 HR, 4 runs scored and 2 RBI

Also, I know it's for realism but would it be a big deal if I turned off 'balks'? It's just tough to wait for my pitchers to have to set their position on the mound especially the ones with the really long waits. It throws off my flow kind of. And it's somewhat unfair for the CPU's for them not to worry about balks (because they never balk).

            TNK - RED SOX FRANCHISE

CLEVELAND INDIANS vs. BOSTON RED SOX
GAME #35 of the season (Pitching Matchup - Zach McAllister vs. Daniel Bard)

It's Mother Day at Fenway and the Indians look to gain a split of this 4 game series with the Red Sox as they send Zach McAllister to the mound for his 1st start of the season against Daniel Bard for Boston. The Indians jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning on a 2-run HR down the RF line by Carlos Santana. McAllister looked sharp early and we would head to the 3rd inning with Cleveland up 2-0. McAllister got Adrian Gonzalez to hit into a double play to end the 3rd inning and the Tribe would take a 2-0 lead into the 4th. Bard left a changeup up in the zone to Shelly Duncan in the top of the 5th and Duncan hit a moon shot 449 feet over everything in LF to make it 3-0. Travis Hafner added an RBI single to LF to score Cabrera and make it 4-0 heading into the bottom of the 5th inning. Zach mcAllister continued to roll as he had allowed just 3 hits through 5 innings on the mound and the Indians had a 4-0 lead at the end of the 5th. Bard's day was finished as Vicente Padilla relieved him to begin the 6th. Boston left the bases loaded in the bottom of the 6th as McAllister got Cody Ross to fly out to end the inning and send the game to the 7th with Cleveland leading 4-0. Boston finally got on the board in the bottom of the 7th as Mike Aviles drove in Saltalamacchia with an RBI single to make it 4-1. McAllister got Ryan Sweeney to hit into an inning ending 6-4-3 double play and we would go to the 8th inning with the Indians leading 4-1. Padilla remained in the game one batter too long as Casey Kotchman took him deep with one out in the 8th for a 2-run HR to make it 6-1 Cleveland. Scott Atchison came on from the pen and allowed two straight singles before getting Jose Lopez to hit into a double play to end the inning. Nick Hagadone relieved McAllister for the bottom of the 8th and struck out the side in order to send the game to the 9th. Michael Brantley blasted a solo HR to CF on a hanging curveball from Atchison in the top of the 9th to give Cleveland a 7-1 lead. The Red Sox came up in the bottom of the 9th trailing by 6 runs and they went down quietly as Hagadone struck out two more batters to give him 5 K's in 2 innings as the Indians win 7-1.

            * The Indians lost the 1st two games of the series but came back to take the next two games and earn the split of the 4 game series.

            * Great performance by Zach McAllister in his 1st start of the season for Cleveland as he pitched 7 fantastic innings and picked up the win.

            * The Seattle Mariners come to Boston next for a 2 game series. The Red Sox will send Jon Lester to the mound against Felix Hernandez for Seattle in a battle of aces

              TNK - RED SOX FRANCHISE

SEATTLE MARINERS vs. BOSTON RED SOX
GAME #36 of the season (Pitching Matchup - Felix Hernandez vs. Jon Lester)

The Red Sox and Mariners begin a two game series at Fenway with a prime pitching matchup as Seattle send Felix Hernandez to the mound against Jon Lester for Boston. The Red Sox got a solo HR from Adrian Gonzalez in the bottom of the 1st to take an early 1-0 lead. Seattle came back to tie the game in the top of the 2nd on a two out RBI single by Alex Liddi. David Ortiz led off the bottom of the 2nd with a double, he moved to 3rd on a ground out by Cody Ross and then came in to score as Ryan Sweeney grounded out to the right side to pick up the RBI and put Boston back on top 2-1 after 2 innings of play. The Red Sox increased their lead in the bottom of the 3rd as Dustin Pedroia turned on a fastball and hit a 2-run HR to make it 4-1. Lester battled control problems in the 5th but was able to escape the inning without allowing a run. The Mariners got to Lester in the top of the 6th as Jesus Montero and Miguel Olivo each hit solo HR's to cut the Red Sox lead to 4-3. Felix Hernandez issued a 1 out walk to Ortiz in the bottom of the 6th and Seattle manager Eric Wedge made the call to the pen for Tom Wilhelmsen with Hernandez struggling and tiring. Wilhelmsen came in and issued a walk to Cody Ross before getting Sweney to pop out for the 2nd out. Jarrod Saltalamacchia reached on a bobbly by Alex Liddi at 3rd base to load the bases for Mike Aviles and he came throught with an RBI single to RF to score Ortiz and make it 5-3. Jacoby Ellsbury was up next and he drew a bases loaded walk after a 9 pitch at bat as Ross came home to increase the Sox lead to 6-3. Wilhelmsen finally got Pedroia to ground out to end the inning and we would head to the 7th inning. Lester remained in the game for the top of the 7th and he got Ichiro to fly out to CF to end the inning and his night of work was done as he was just under 100 pitches thrown. George Sherrill sat the Red Sox down in order in the bottom of the 7th and we would head to the 8th inning with Boston leading 6-3. Franklin Morales came on to pitch the top of the 8th and he was welcomed rudely by Jesus Montero who blasted his 2nd HR of the game to make it 6-4. Morales struck out Justin Smoak then allowed a single to Olivo and Seattle would bring the tying run to the plate as Mike Carp pinch hit for Casper Wells with one out. Morales would settle down and got Carp to hit into an inning ending 4-6-3 double play to get out of the jam. Sherrill pitched a 1-2-3 bottom of the 8th for the Mariners to send the game to the 9th with Boston holding on to a 6-4 lead. Red Sox closer Alfredo Aceves would enter the game for the top of the 9th with a two run lead looking to close it out and earn the save. Alex Liddi popped out to Gonzalez at 1st base for the first out. Brendan Ryan grounded out to Aviles at shortstop and the Mariners were down to their final out. Aceves got Dustin Ackley to fly out to CF for the final out to nail down the save with a 1-2-3 9th inning as the Red Sox win 6-4.

              * Dustin Pedroia went 2 for 4 with a HR and 2 RBI and has raised his average to .257 on the season as he continues his recent surge at the plate.

              * Jon Lester gave a gutsy effort as he battled control issues all night long. Lester was having trouble spotting his pitches but managed to give his team 7 innings and earned the victory

              * Felix Hernandez was not sharp as he also had trouble with his command and couldn't get out of the 6th inning due to control issues and fatigue

              * Proof that these sliders work and that this game is amazing - I get dominated by Jairo Asencio and Zach McAllister in my last two games then come back and have a good night against Felix Hernandez in my next game

Re: TNK - 2012 Realism Sliders Thread

I just wanted to post a couple things. One I enjoy your sliders, they seem to work well.

And 2 for people who think the sliders are good, bad, or whatever, if your struggles have ANYTHING to do with hitting, I'm telling you (and will continue to say) that your TV has a bigger impact on you hit than the slider settings.

I've tried MLB 12 The Show on 4 different displays: 1 46" Sony Bravia, 1 52" Samsung LCD, 1 21" Acer PC Monitor, and 1 40" TCL "Off Brand" LCD HDTV.

On the 46"/52", I hit like total crap. Can't time anything, strike out like crazy, and just overall hit horrible. I switched from the Vita to the PS3 and playing on the 52" Samsung my avg. dropped from .340 to .270 in the span of about an hour.

I switched the PS3 to both the PC Monitor and the 40" TCL, and my average is now back above .300 after about 7 games.

This game, more than any other game I've ever played, will KILL YOU if you have a bad response time on your TV. And please don't recommend game mode to me, or whatever....for the Sony and Samsung it just doesn't help. The response time of those TV's are just bad and the timing that I have on those TV's is NOTHING compared to the monitor and the 40" TCL. The TCL is an "off brand" TV that doesn't have any extra frills to it, and it shows because the response time isn't effected by extra features.

I apologize for a bit of a thread hijack there but I feel that in discussing hitting sliders, your TV absolutely has an impact on how you hit. A big one. I would wager that a lot of people who play this game and have a lot of success hitting don't have one of those newer, fancier TV's that have features which hurt the response time.

Mess with the sliders, but I'm telling you find a computer monitor or old/non-hdtv to hook up to. I guarantee you'll see a difference in your swing timing.

                  TNK - RED SOX FRANCHISE

SEATTLE MARINERS vs. BOSTON RED SOX
GAME #37 of the season (Pitching Matchup - Kevin Millwood vs. Josh Beckett)

The Red Sox wrap up their 6 game homestand as they look to sweep the Mariners in the 2nd game of this two game series. The game was scoreless in the top of the 2nd when Miguel Olivo came up with runners on the corners and one out. Olivo hit a high chopper that Beckett came off the mound to field but his only play was at 1st base as Mike Carp scored from 3rd to give Seattle a 1-0 lead. Will Middlebrooks tied the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the 2nd inning when he got a high fastball from Millwood and drvie it into the monster seats for a solo HR. The Mariners had a great chance in the top of the 4th with Mike Carp on the 3rd base and one out when Miguel Olivo hit a fly ball to right field, Marlon Byrd made the catch and his throw home was perfect to nail Carp at the plate for the 3rd out to end the inning and keep the score 1-1. The Red Sox went back to work in the bottom of the 4th as Ortiz and Gonzalez singled to begin the inning, Will Middlebrooks followed with a double to score Ortiz to make it 2-1. Millwood then struck out Cody Ross and Marlon Byrd lined out to Dustin Ackley at 2nd base who doubled off Middlebrooks at 2nd to end the inning as Millwood escapes a tough spot and Boston leads 2-1 heading into the 5th. Beckett got out of the 5th inning on a strike em out throw em out double play as he fanned Chone Figgins and Saltalamacchia gunned down Ichiro trying to steal 2nd base. The Mariners had runners at the corners with one out in the top of the 6th for Mike Carp and he lined a ball back to the mound that struck Beckett in the leg, Beckett was able to gather the ball and get the out at 1st but Montero scored to tie the game at 2-2. Justin Smoak was up next and he lined an RBI double to LF to give the Mariners a 3-2 lead. Miguel Olivo followed with a single to LF but Cody Rodd came up throwing and Smoak was dead at the plate to end the inning as he became the 2nd Mariner thrown out at home in the game. Kevin Millwood pitched out of trouble in the bottom of the 6th and we would head to the 7th inning with Seattle leading 3-2. Matt Albers pitched the top of the 7th and got Figgins to hit into a 5-4-3 double play to end the inning. Hisashi Iwakuma relieved Millwood to begin the bottom of the 7th and gave up a leadoff single to Marlon Byrd. Iwakuma came back to retire Saltalamacchia and Punto before Jacoby Ellsbury came through with an RBI triple into the triangle in CF to tie the game at 3-3. Mike Aviles was up next and he roped a line drive single off the green moster to drive in Ellsbury with the go ahead run to make it 4-3. Lucas Luetge relieved Iwakuma to and struck out David Ortiz to end the inning and we would head to the 8th inning with the Red Sox now leading 4-3. Jesus Montero singled to lead off the top of the 8th and was lifted for a pinch runner as Munenori Kawasaki came on to pinch run. Albers got Casper Wells to fly out for the 1st out and Bobby Valentine went to lefty Rich Hill to face Dustin Ackley. Hill got Ackley to fly out to RF for the 2nd out and Mike Carp also flew out to RF and the inning was over. Luetge pitched around a leadoff double by Adrian Gonzalez in the bottom of the 8th and the game would goo to the 9th inning with Boston leading 4-3. Alfredo Aceves entered the game to begin the 9th looking to close it out and got Justin Smoak to fly out to CF for the 1st out. John Jaso came on to pinch hit for Olivo and he drew a walk so the Mariners would have the tying run on base with one out. Brandan Ryan was up next and he singled to LF to bring up Ichiro. Aceves got Ichiro to ground out to Gonzalez at 1st base to bring up Chone Figgins with runners at 2nd & 3rd and two outs. Aceves danced out of danger as he got Figgins to ground out to Pedroia at 2nd base for the final out as the Red Sox hang on for a 4-3 victory.

                  * The Red Sox sweep the two game series with Seattle and go 4-2 on their homestand. Boston will head out on a 9 game road trip that begins with a two game series in Tampa Bay against the Rays. The Red Sox, Rays and Yankees are locked in a 3 way tie for 1st place in the AL East as all 3 teams have identical records at 21-16.

                  * Jesus Montero singled in the 8th inning to extend his hitting streak to 21 games for the Mariners

                  * Jacoby Ellsbury went 3 for 4 in the game and raised his team leading average to .356

                  * David Ortiz went 2 for 4 in the game to lift his average to .203 as he continues to improve after getting off to an awful start to the season

                    TNK - RED SOX FRANCHISE

BOSTON RED SOX @ TAMPA BAY RAYS
GAME #38 of the season (Pitching Matchup - Clay Buchholz vs. Jeremy Hellickson)

The Red Sox begin an 8 game road trip in Tampa for an AL East clash with the Rays. The temas enter the game with identical records and in a three way tie with the Yankees for 1st place in the AL East. Both Jeremey Hellickson and Clay Buchholz had to work hard early and threw a lot of pitches but they both managed to get through the 1st two innings without allowing a run. The Red Sox got on the board in the top of the 3rd when red hot David Ortiz unloaded on a fastball from Hellickson and hit it 429 feet into the fish tank in CF for a 2-run HR to put Boston up 2-0. The Rays got on the board in the bottom of the 3rd as Zobrist reached when Nick Punto's throw pulled Gonzalez off the bag on what would have been the final out of the inning and he came around to score on an RBI double by Evan Longroia to make it 2-1. Ryan Sweeney missed a HR by inches with one out in the top of the 3rd as he drove the ball down the RF line and ended up with a triple. Sweeney came in to score when Nick Punto grounded out to Pena at 1st base to give Boston a 3-1 lead. BJ Upton led off the bottom of the 4th with a solo HR to LF and Boston's lead was cut to 3-2 after 4 innings of play. David Ortiz mashed his 2nd 2-run HR of the game in the top of the 5th to make it a 5-2 ballgame. Joe Maddon had seen enough of Hellickson after Adrian Gonzalez singled and Jeff Niemann came in from the pen. Niemann served up a HR to the first batter he faced as Kevin Youkilis drove a ball opposite way to RF that just cleared the fence to give the Red Sox a 7-2 lead. Buchholz made quick work of the Rays in the bottom of the 5th and the Red Sox were leading 7-2 as the game went to the 6th. Jacoby Ellsbury tripled with one out in the 6th and he came in to score on an RBI double by David Ortiz to make it 8-2. Buchholz picked up his 7th K of the game as he froze Matt Joyce with a backdoor curveball to end the 6th inning. Buchholz finished his night by pitching a 1-2-3 bottom of the 7th and we would head to the 8th inning with the Red Sox leading 8-2. Nick Punto made it 9-2 in the top of the 8th as he joined the party with a solo HR to RF. Scott Atchison pitched out of trouble in the bottom of the 8th and we would go to the 9th with the score 9-2. The Rays could not get to Atchison in the bottom of the 9th and the Red Sox take game one of this two game series by a score of 9-2.

                    * David Ortiz had a huge night as he went 4 for 5 with a single, a double, 2 Home Runs and 5 RBI to raise his average to .223 on the season (Ortiz is hitting .432 with 4 HR and 10 RBI in his last 10 games)

                    * Clay Buchholz improved to 5-1 on the season as he overcame some early struggles with his control to give his team 7 strong innings.

                    * Stats / Standings / League Leaders - Update will be posted after I play game #40 of the season

                      Hi

Im new here and I am missing fundamental information:

THESE SLIDERS ARE UPLOADED TO THE SLIDER VAULT UNDER THE NAME:
                      TNK ALL-STAR REALISM V2.0

I cannot find where the "slider vault" is, searching this site and even googling I cannot find. Can anyone point me in the direction?

                      Thanks

GAME #39 of the season (Pitching Matchup - Felix Doubront vs. Matt Moore)

The Red Sox and Rays wrap up a brief two game series with a battle of young lefties on the mound as Felix Doubront throws for Boston against rookie phenom Matt Moore for Tampa Bay. Both Moore and Doubront were sharp early as each team had just 1 hit through 3 innings and we would head to the 4th inning tied 0-0. Felix Doubront allowed a single by Zobrist to lead off the game but has dominated since as he has retired 12 straight hitters and the game would head to the 5th inning tied 0-0. Matt Moore struck out the side in the top of the 5th to give him 7 through 5 innings of work on the mound. Doubront allowed a leadoff double and a walk in the bottom of the 5th but pitched out of trouble and we would head to the 6th inning with no score 0-0. The Red Sox got back to back singles form Marlon Byrd and Mike Aviles to start the 6th inning and Jacoby Ellsbury bunted them over but Moore got Dustin Pedroia to hit into a double play to end the threat. Doubront retired the Rays in order in the bottom of the 6th and the game would move to the 7th inning tied 0-0. The Red Sox had two men on base with two outs in the top of the 7th for Kelly Shoppach but Moore would pick up his 9th K of the game to get out of the jam. Doubront made it 7 shutout innings as he retired the side in order in the bottom of the 7th and has allowed just 2 hits to this point as we would go to the 8th tied 0-0. The Red Sox had Mike Aviles on 2nd base with two outs in the top of the 8th and Joe Maddon would go to the pen as he called on Burke Badenhop to face Dustin Pedroia as Matt Moore would leave to a standing ovation. Badenhop got Pedroia to chase a slider for the K to end the inning and keep the score 0-0. Doubront had retired 10 striaght before Sean Rodriguez doubled off the wall in CF with one out as he just missed a HR. BJ Upton was called on to pinch hit and Elliot Johnson pinch ran for Rodriguez at 2nd base. Doubront got Upton to ground out to Pedroia and Johnson moved up to 3rd base setting the stage for Ben Zobrist with two outs. Doubront got squeezed by the umpire and issued a walk to Zobrist and Bobby Valentine would bring in Vicente Padilla from the pen to face Jeff Keppinger and end the night for Doubront. Keppiner gave the ball a ride but Marlon Byrd would make the catch on the warning track in RF to end the inning and send the game to the 9th inning locked in a 0-0 tie. Badenhop pitched a 1-2-3 top of the 9th for Tampa and the Rays would have a chance to win it in the bottom of the 9th with Evan Longoria coming up. Padilla struck out Longoria to open the bottom of the 9th and Valentine would make the move to Franklin Morales with a string of lefties coming up for the Rays. Morales came in and got Carlos Pena to ground out and struck out Matt Joyce looking and this game was headed to extra innings. Badenhop remained in the game and retired the Sox in order in the top of the 10th. Morales pitched a 1-2-3 bottom of the 10th and we would go to the 11th inning tied 0-0. Mike Aviles led off the 11th inning with a single and Jacoby Ellsbury bunted him up to 2nd base for the 1st out. Dustin Pedroia popped out and that would bring up David Ortiz and he was robbed of a hit and an RBI on a diving stop by Carlos Pena at 1st base to end the inning. Morales issued a one out walk to Zobrist in the bottom of the 11th and Matt Albers would come in from the pen to face Keppinger with Longoria lurking on deck and Albers got Keppinger to hit into an inning ending 4-6-3 double play to send the game to the 12th inning still tied 0-0. Badenhop was still on the mound for the top of the 12th and he kept the Red Sox off the board again with another strong inning of relief. Albers got Longoria and Pena for the 1st two outs in the bottom of the 12th before Matt Joyce doubled down the RF line and Bobby Valentine would bring in lefty Rich Hill to face Luke Scott with the game on the line. Scott grounded out to Aviles at SS and the game would go to the 13th inning still locked in a 0-0 tie. Kelly Shoppach singled to LF to begin the top of the 13th and Marlon Byrd would sac bunt him over to 2nd base. Ryan Sweeney came on to pinch run as Mike Aviles was 3 for 4 and coming to the plate. Badenhop struck out Aviles after a 9 pitch at bat for the 2nd out and then Jacoby Ellsbury flew out to the warning track to end the inning. Desmond Jennings won it for Tampa Bay in the bottom of the 13th inning as Hill left a slider up in the zone and Jennings connected for a solo HR to give the Rays a dramatic 1-0 victory.......WHAT A GAME!!!!

                                A) You need to get batter and take pitches, dont swing at crap

                                B) Increase contact & timing 1 each
