A&S what sliders do you use for The Show 12? I will be playing using Knight's 94 season after I finish my 88 season replay with the A's. Hopefully the Bash Brothers won't shrink if we make it to the post season lol. Are your sliders for 12 the same as the 13 version? I'm loving the sliders for 13 you have posted on page 1. I also went through and read up on better pitching with your sliders, wow what a difference. I feel like my pitching is much better and the more I play the better I get. I understand ball movement and velocity way better now, before I just pitched and prayed. Looking forward to my first no hitter and my first 10+K game! Any feedback you can provide would be appreciated.

So glad your enjoying 13! Best sports game eva!!!!

As far as 12 the sliders are different. I am posting them below here for you or anyone else who still plays 12 (I know I still play it).

      All-Star
      Hybrid

Both are fantastic. I use the Hybrid set on 12. Hitting is harder on 12 IMO and you know some of the ball physic quirks with the first version of that new feature on 12. But other than that and the bugged ticker 12 is just as good a game as 13 in many ways.

Enjoy that 1994 season. I know for me it was my favorite classic season replay I have ever had thus far. Currently I am solidering thorugh a 1988 replay on 13 and loving it too! PJ did an incredible job on the 88, 89, and 90 roster sets. I also highly suggest the 1984 set for both 12 and 13....great stuff. Myers 90 set for 12 was also stellar as well as the 78 set that came out. 12 had the very best classic roster lineup bar none.

      Enjoy.

Hybrid Veteran/All-Star version 1.2 - The only adjustment to gameplay is set hitting to Veteran. Here are the sliders for this verison. On Human hitting I found default Veteran worked really well. Where I made adjustments was CPU pitching to get walks and pitch variety. Also pitch speed is at 3 this a purely personal slider. Please adjust to your skill level. Fielder Speed recieved a huge adjustment down to 2. Like 2011 the outfielders are god like cheetah's! Way to many hits that are sharpley pulled down the line are being tracked down much too quickly by all outfielders.

I really think this hybrid set is the way to go for most simulation/ratings based players. Marino I and others are continuing to play many games to get them tuned just right.

      Hybrid Set 1.2 Final

      Human Contact: 5 (+1)
      Human Power: 4 (-1)
      Human Timing: 5
      Stride Difficulty: 5
      Human Foul Frequency: 5
      Human Solid Hits: 3 (-1)

      CPU Contact: 5
      CPU Power: 4
      CPU Timing: 5
      CPU Foul Frequency: 3
      CPU Solid Hits: 3 (-1)
      CPU Starter Stamina: 6
      CPU Reliever Stamina: 2 (-2)
      CPU Pitcher Control: 2
      CPU Pitcher Consistency: 2
      CPU Strike Frequency: 3
      CPU Manager Hook: 5
      CPU Pickoffs: 5
      Pitch Speed: 0 (-3)
      Fielding Errors: 5
      Throwing Errors: 5
      Fielder Run Speed: 1 (-1)
      Fielder Reaction: 4
      Fielder Arm Strength: 3
      Baserunner Speed: 5 (+1)
      Baserunner Steal Frequency: 5
      Baserunner Steal Ability: 6 (+1)
      Wind: 4
      Injury Frequency: 5

Pitch Speed is a personal setting. Basically tune that slider to where you feel comfortable. I am personally at 3 but if your having problems picking up pitches lower it down to "0" and work your way up as your hitters eye get's better. Or if your happy with your results leave it at zero. But that is the most flexible slider to adjust for hitting results.

Before I started playing The Show I would have argued that NBA2K11 was the best sports game, with mkharsh's classic rosters complimenting but I now have to say The Show 13 is the best I've seen and played. I have heard from many on here in OS that Knight's 94 season is a "must play". I am excited to have this set now and grateful to have your/Marino's sliders to bring the game out on the grand stage and shine like it deserves. I can't wait to get online and re-hash the ins, outs, ups and downs of the 94 season then choose what team I will repeat or change the destiny of. I agree PJ did a great job with his rosters as well and I have dl'd all the ones you mentioned above. I would like to get Myers 78 season and any other roster sets for 12 that I can't get on 13, hoping you can help me out with that. Thank You again for the time and effort you and Marino put into these sliders, it feels good to join paths with those who pay attention to detail as I do and want to see this game/franchise flex its muscles.

OT. 13 and 14 with the inclusion of the right dribble stick and the bounce pass put those games over 11 IMO.

What is the lowest you would go for Human Control and Consistency with Classic? I am thinking of moving from Meter.

Exactly what I have posted on page one for the human.

The only difference is for the CPU on Veteran vs All-Star.

Don't think about it...move away from that meter! Classic gives you more control. You will also appreciate your pitch sequences and K's more imo. It's the way The Show was meant to be played...and enjoyed.

Played a few games with Classic. Playing with vibration off most pitches a tap rather than holding down longer. The game is more enjoyable w/o the meter on the screen. Gonna stick with it.

Classic plays closer to league average ball/strike ratio. With Meter on 0 0 I had to purposely miss to get under 70% strikes on HOF pitching. Getting around 60% with sliders on 2 2.

The temps may be sub -20 and a good couple feet of snow outside but for this baseball fan with some major spring fever (already!) these sliders have been working great! Even though I have been playing this year's The Show off and on since release, these sliders have definitely breathed some new life into the game for me.

I like to play a lot of games since I like having each players stats to be "mine" it has been great to see a nice variety in each game. Some games I will score 12 runs and the next will be a 2-1 battle - thats baseball.

I'm sure this has been said somewhere in the thread, but if I wanted to decrease the strike % of the CPU (currently at 75) what should I go about lowering? Control, consistency, or simply strike frequency? Thanks in advance

I would start with Control. What level of difficulty are you playing on and how many balls out of the strike zone do you swing at? I am using 4 4 4 for the CPU when I play 11 12 and 13 and find the CPU is within an acceptable range. Some guys like to turn First Strike Frequency down a bit I like the CPU to nibble and throw pitches that look like strikes that are balls. More challenging. I suck but now I have an excuse.

I am finally at the midway point of my 1988 NYY season replay.

I will have a rousing big update with my players stats, top 3 in AL/NL catagories and standings.

Some surpirses......as the fictional Miami Marlins are on a tear (PJ...did you mean for that to happen? LOL) kinda weird....but I don't care as the season has been awesome. I have the Yankees playing incredible baseball with Candyman vying for a Cy Young right now at 14-1......truly great season for him right now. Donny Baseball as always my best hitter all around. Ricky Henderson leading all of baseball in SB's with 58 and Rags holding down the fort with 38 saves (4.05 ERA though) The season has been a joy.

                              Stay tuned.

Thanks for this. I played around with the sliders and I saw a significant change in the amount of balls thrown. It's right around the average strike % now
