The patch 1.02 has been applied but the lost visuals (pitch speed on score bug, baserunner windows) have not made their way back... a mild disappointment.

Re: Stats-Based CPU Sliders [MLB 15 Version]
I think there are some issues with error play identification this year.
These I think are clear errors, but either hit or fielder's choice is recorded in stead:

I have made error-related slider adjustments, but I'm not necessarily seeing what would expect to see... and errors not properly charged in the game might be part of the issue.
Here are more examples:

Re: Stats-Based CPU Sliders [MLB 15 Version]
Interesting because the base running windows were one of the items listed as addressed in the patch.Comment

Re: Stats-Based CPU Sliders [MLB 15 Version]
I haven't loaded the patch yet but I'm assuming the windows are now there for Manage only Mode(mentioned in the notes), but not there for cpu vs. cpu games.Comment

Re: Stats-Based CPU Sliders [MLB 15 Version]
I suspect that is the case (I haven't tried MoM yet). You MoMers should rejoice in that based on your feedback MoM now has a little more features than CPU vs. CPU mode! :PComment

Could you help me out here on the google doc. I'm big in the excel stuff and was looking through the spreadsheet, some of the abbreviations have me lost.
IP SP Np IP WP - the abbreviations right after stolen bases and caught stealing. what do those represent?

I believe it is Innings pitched Starting pitcher, Number of pitchers, Innings pitched (total for the team), and Wild pitchesCould you help me out here on the google doc. I'm big in the excel stuff and was looking through the spreadsheet, some of the abbreviations have me lost.

then you have:
First pitch pitch percentage, First pitch strike percentage
Early count pitch percentage, Early count strike percentage
Ahead count pitch percentage, Ahead count strike percentage
Behind count pitch percentage, Behind count strike percentage
Full count pitch percentage, Full count strike percentage
The numbers in black are the CPU v CPU values and the numbers in blue are the real life MLB averages.Comment

Re: Stats-Based CPU Sliders [MLB 15 Version]
Ahh, I got it. NB really threw me off, I was thinking number of pitchES. and they were so low it couldnt be right.I believe it is Innings pitched Starting pitcher, Number of pitchers, Innings pitched (total for the team), and Wild pitches
then you have:
First pitch pitch percentage, First pitch strike percentage
Early count pitch percentage, Early count strike percentage
Ahead count pitch percentage, Ahead count strike percentage
Behind count pitch percentage, Behind count strike percentage

So, there is a PB abbreviation. Assuming that is passed balls (balls the catcher couldve/shouldve stopped)....and those are completely different fro wild pitches?
Can all of these stats be found in the post game menu or do you have to record them throughout the game?Comment

BrianU's post is correct about the abbreviations.Ahh, I got it. NB really threw me off, I was thinking number of pitchES. and they were so low it couldnt be right.

Yes, PB is passed balls.
These are ordered so that I can efficiently read off numbers from screen and enter into the spreadsheet. Usually I go from Box Score, Game Log, and then Pitcher Analysis with various filters.Comment

Re: Stats-Based CPU Sliders [MLB 15 Version]
Got ya. Nice little spreadsheet setup you have, especially for those who want to tinker with their own sliders I like it.
I'll probably be spending the 2nd half of my day at work (firefighter) messing with it.
thanks!Last edited by JRT2006; 04-24-2015, 06:03 AM.Comment

Re: Stats-Based CPU Sliders [MLB 15 Version]
I think there are some issues with error scoring, so I filed a bug report:
OWN THE SHOW Experience faster, deeper and more intense moment-to-moment match action on the field, with a variety of game modes for all you rookie players and returning seasoned vets. Purchase Live out your dreams Step on the diamond while surrounded by corn fields with the addition of MLB® Field of Dreams added to MLB® […]
If this sort of thing annoys you, please upvote (though the effect on the gameplay is minor enough that it probably won't be looked at).
Error scoring has never really been close to perfect, but I think there are some clear misidentifications in the system this year. I don't see the effect of error-related sliders clearing showing up in the box scores.Comment

Re: Stats-Based CPU Sliders [MLB 15 Version]
The set that I'm currently running is a bit more geared toward testing a couple things for fine tuning (e.g., solid hit and pitcher consistency) and also checking some stats (e.g., errors), so it's not suitable for use. Basically I'm testing if a couple sliders could be used for finer tuning, or if just one click makes too big of a change that not changing at all is better, etc.
I think some time today I'll post a "beta" set given what I think I know so far (which plays pretty good), but it will be somewhere between the default and 4/18 set.
CPU vs. CPU plays darn well this year. It's not just stats but even more so in visual aspect. The ball physics and fielding are very good.
Every year you see improvements, but (aside from lingering issues like excessive bunting) this year's version I think made a substantial jump in authenticity.Comment
