Sorry to ask this question on this thread but it is the only thread I read.

For 30-team control users, on the CPU set teams do you have lineups/rotation set to manual so you can decide who is in the lineup and batting order? CPU can make some silly choices when it comes to lineups. And if it is set to manual, would the CPU still rest players or do you have to do that manually?

Do you manage in-game decisions for CPU teams? I ask this because the CPU brought Eovaldi into the game. He gave up 5 runs in 2 innings and wasn't pulled. The next game he is brought in again even with pretty low energy and confidence

You don't have to manually steals just tap L2 and hold L1 his jump will be a lot better the thing is if you are holding L1 when the pitcher throws over you will be out if I have a good base runner I tend not to even take an extra step off first just tap L2 then hold L1 till he takes off

And you have all the patches installed? I will give it a spin when I play a game later today and see what happens. It's so weird, suddenly Dee Gordon is being thrown out by a wide margin and his jumps on manual steals have gotten as bad as they used to be on auto steals.

Interesting... will definitely give this a try just to see how it plays. My main concern is that it will make it easier for the runner to be picked off. I'm not saying that it does (I haven't tested it obviously) I'm just saying that the logic in my brain is thinking that it would.

Probably will but they never throw over unless the runner has 80+ speed anyways from what I've seen and guys like Gordon and Dyson with 97 speed may not need the extra step if the jump isn't horrific like it normally is.

I need help bad

I am having MAJOR trouble hitting home runs. I hit doubles and triples pretty fine but can not hit a HR unless im Anthony Rizzo. Ive played 30 something games and have hit like 10 hrs with him and 1 with Baez and thats it

I can not figure it out

power-5
timing-4
solid hits-5

should i up contact?
i went from 5 to 4 becasue i was getting way too many hits now its more realistic

i cant hit home runs either way

perfect example. hanging curve to schwarber. timing good, contact good and i just hit a double

bryant, fastball down the middle, crushed it all the way to the wall

i literally have not hit a hr with anyone but rizzo and baez (1)

if i move power to 6 then i hit way too many home runs. ill hit on average 3 or 4 a game

What’s up Cable Guy.

Try the Zoom Offset camera view for hitting. If you do use that then turn the runner windows on (you will need them to see your base runners).

That camera was what I used for 3 seasons then late in the 16 cycle I switched to the Fisheye and love it. But it is not for everyone.

Offset Zoom will give you better perspective IMO of being in the batters box and being able to pick up on low out of zone pitches much better if that is giving you fits.

It worked Fantastic!!! I drew a walk first at bat of the game. 2 in all, to double my total for the young season. Cut my strikeouts in half.

So when you had contact and timing at 5, you were getting too many hits and still lack of HRs from other players? The thing is Rizzo is hitting Hrs just fine.

Been following Armor for a few years on Madden and Mlb and use his sliders for both games. He always comes up with the best blend of sliders for the Sim crowd. Nice job Armor!

Wow, this game is playing fantastic right now. The hit variety is the best I've seen in The Show. Having a blast!

PS: If anyone is struggling with hitting I would suggest switching to The Show 15 Batting camera. The depth perception is about on par with what you would see if you were set up behind the plate IRL, obviously not exactly.

Yup. Playing your exact settings with the only change to pitch speed at 10 for both. Believe it or not but I feel that the increase in pitch speed helps you identify pitches better.
