It seems like I'm blowing past teams on these 2.0 sliders. I love the game, and I love A&S sliders. Do you think I should change the difficulty to Hall of Fame? What would be the difference? Timing of swinging? Pitching meter going faster?

    Thanks.

L11. Closest has been 2-1, largest defeat 7-0. I feel like I'm striking out the CPU to many times. And also they aren't getting a lot of hits

          Really enjoying your sliders!
I used to up power and solids hits, but after using your sliders i'm seeing more variation in hits. More bloopers, more "small" hits.
          Really like it.

Another thing i have learned (after being punished several times) is to work the count. Get that starters' pitch count up and try to get him out of the game.
Succeeding with that a little bit more now and it's rewarding to see the ace leaving and then causing some damage to the reliever.
I'm winning games but not easy, have less hits and loving it.

I do manual fielding so will give those new sliders for that a try as well.

Pitching meter? Are you not using classic pitching as these sliders are meant for? Also try without vibration if you are using classic... I am... It's awesome!

If you are dominating on the mound and are using Classic Pitching I would say move to HOF Pitching. As I have mentioned before I made this move last year as I was dominating also. That is the only thing I do different than Armor. The rest of the settings are identical and the results for me are fantastic. Now with the vibration off I find I have to pitch to contact a little more to try and keep my pitch count down which is very challenging on HOF Pitching.

I would also say 11 games is a small sample size so I would play at least 20 to get a good read. You may just be on a hot streak right now with your pitching. I say play a few more games and then if your still dominating bump it up to HOF but leave everything else alone. Play 20 more games then see where you are. If your pitching with the meter may have to tweak some on your own as these are designed for Classic..

Currently playing with mostly your 2.0 set but with human contact and timing bumped up to 6. Before it was honestly just really frustrating playing on all-star and those two changes have made my last few games more enjoyable. I've scored 8, 0, and 6 in those 3 so I just need to keep an eye on it and make sure it's not getting a little too easy but it feels good.

Pitching was the complete opposite. I always felt pitching on all-star was a little too easy but I switched to classic pitching and moved CPU contact to 6 and man it's giving me some trouble! Walking more batters than I ever have and sometimes serving up fat meatballs. I get genuinely nervous any time I have to bring in a reliever in a close game now.

                      Armor,

I can't remember seeing if you said this or not. But when you do your Franchise do you do 30 team control or no? I have always just done my own team but it seems like I always win the division easily cause other teams in my division are always bad it seems like.

Don't know if it's a product of these sliders but the hit variety I'm seeing in this game is incredible. Add to that the ball physics, which allows hard hit liners the other way to slice away from a pursuing infielder putting the ball just out of reach for a hit, is simply glorious.

Just a quick word of thanks.(edit: or not so quick, lol). I appreciate the hard work/testing/thought/planning, etc... that go into these. For me personally your work with both Madden and The Show, that you have increased the value of the game to me ten fold. It has added an incredible amount of realism and fun that wasn't previously possible (for me at least).

I started up a franchise last night with OSFM ver 1 and your sliders (v 2.0). Even though I plan to restart this probably this evening or tomorrow (with OSFM v1.5 and your 2.0 or 2.5) I had a tremendous experience and enjoyed every second. I've already seen some new things this year as far as the way that the ball travels and turns (physics FTW!).

I don't have a screenshot of the box score or even really remember 100% accurate what it all was, but I can give you the gist to go off of.

(I do play with zone hitting. First year doing this as I've always been a timing/directional guy. I tried it out during the demo part of the game as it was installing and almost immediately fell in love. I know this isn't the way you suggest playing it, so my mileage may vary. Everything else is the same I believe.)

I played as the Reds on Opening Day vs the Phillies. (I won 4-2)

                            Feldman went 6IP 1ER with 4Ks
Iglesias gave up 1ER in the 9th

I want to say the box score was very close to the following:
                            R H E
                            Phillies 2 7 0
                            Reds 4 10 0

No homers were hit for either side. I had one ball that I hit that I thought was going to be a homer. Adam Duvall had a 3-1 count with 2 outs, so I thought I'd use a power swing if Aaron Nola threw one right down the middle. Which he did, and I timed it up beautifully, but I juuuuuuust swung underneath it and ended up flying out to deep left center. I thought I had hammered it and was disappointed at first, but when I saw the swing feedback and realized I had barely swung underneath it, it was sooooo satisfying. You really have to hit it just right to hit it out, which feels like it should be the case.

Billy Hamilton was the player of the game going 1-3 with 3 SBs and a run scored.

Overall I was extremely happy with how it played and felt and I can't wait to get back at it!

                            Thanks again!!!

Since I having internet and computer issues here are the small but vital important tweaks to the OP

Also make these tweaks to the quick manage set.

I will be updating the OP ASAP once I get through the internet and laptop issues I have.

Also please ignore the slider set I uploaded to the vault. I will be uploading 2.5 and Quick Manage 2.5 ASAP.

Make the following tweaks to 2.0

Fielder speed down to 3 (from 4)

Steal frequency down to default 5 (from 6)

Hit variety and OF ratings really shine with fielder speed at 3

Easy SB's from blocked balls in the dirt greatly curtailed with the combination of baserunner speed at 3 and steal frequency at default 5

Also I know there are some errors on the quick manage set.

Quick manage should be exactly the same as 2.5 except starter stamina at 5 and injuries at 5

                              Enjoy!!!!

Agree 100%. Seeing a hooking liner down the line in right field off the bat of a lefty and watching it bang around in the corner was an incredible feeling. My first 'wow' moment in a long time with The Show. Just the trajectory and the patch it took made it look so real and so sweet!
