I added an All-Star hitting "Old Guy" option to the OP for those that prefer that level of hitting and they perform very much in line with the veteran version, but demand a bit more patience hitting. I am running franchises with both versions and the All-Star version plays a bit "streakier" but overall things level out in the long run. I really like what I am getting from the HOF pitching sliders, so staying with those as the only set for pitching.

Red numbers in Parenthesis are for All-Star hitting, black are original Veteran hitting Sliders.

Yankees Franchise with veteran hitting sliders

        Brewers 5-9-2
Yankees 8-11-0 (most of my damage came in a 6 run first)
        HR: Yankees 2, Brewers 3
        2B: Yankees 2, Brewers 1
        BB: Yankees 3, Brewers 3
        K: Yankees 7, Brewers 8

Cubs Franchise with All-Star hitting sliders
        Pirates 4-6-0
        Cubs 5-8-1
        HR: Cubs 1, Pirates 1
        2B: Cubs 1, Pirates 2
        BB: Cubs 4, Pirates 5
        K: Cubs 9, Pirates 12

Biggest difference for me is balls don't travel as far on All-Star and I strikeout a little bit more (average 6-7 on Veteran and 7-8 on All-star) I like the fact that timing comes into play more on All-Star, and even at 6 still requires you to be more dialed in then veteran)

I like the comparison. I was seeing the same thing between the two level. I know that solid hits plays a key role in how the ball comes off the bat. I noticed that lowering less than 5 has a big effect. Not sure what is going on with the game this year, but it didn't take me this long last year to dial in some close as you can get sliders for good game play. I am frustrated at this point. I am not sure if it is the updates or what, but I know around Aug or Sept last year they did an update that put everything out of whack.

I played a lot today, as we were having Solar installed so I had nothing to do but hang around. I am actually using All-Star in both franchises now. I zoomed in my custom offset hitting view until the front of the plate is barely visible and tweaked human timing on All-Star to 5, and Human timing on Veteran to 2, putting Human foul frequency at 3 for both.

I am really happy with the play on All-Star now with pitch speed at 3/5 and a slightly zoomed view. I am striking out a bit more, but still getting an appropriate number of hits. I also went 3 games with no home runs, before hitting 2 a game in each of my last two games, so some variety that brings the opposing pitcher into play a lot as well. These last minor tweaks have me feeling really good. I am thinking the main variable in user experience now will come down to pitch speed, adjusted to fit skill level.

I have uploaded both versions to the vault user name Xlimey. OP is also updated.

I like these sliders so far I'm 5 and 2 with the Indians. It does seem maybe a little too easy but then again I struggled with coachmoders and armors sliders so I like it. I was wondering if you use just the latest live rosters like I did or do u use something else? And with the catcher always saying where to put pitches I'm finding out that you shouldn't put it exactly where it says but rather if its a sinker just tap x so it's accurate and low velocity so it drops to the inside low. Or for a cutter starting to the left and holding for a second so it's not dropping out of the zone and has some movement. So far though I've got a lot better ba then the all-star sliders compared to the 100 and low 200 I had before. Also what to you decide when to bring in relievers I had Kluber throwing a solid game with 10ks but I pulled him in the 9th in replace for my closer who only had 50 energy too and not s a save situation but I'm guessing the qc he was pretty high at the end of the eighth at 120.

Glad you are enjoying these, thanks for giving them a shot. for the most part, I have hitting difficulty ties to pitch speed now, as get better, I would first try bumping pitch speed up a notch, on either the veteran or all-start version. This has worked the best for me and kept the hit variety.

I am using the OSFM opening day community rosters 1.75, but will be starting a second franchise using OSFM 2.5 from ridindwnkingsley

I do a similar thing on pitches, switching up how long I hold the button and moving the ball around if I disagree with the catchers call, though I go with him 80-85% of the time. I find that once confidence is up, holding the button until the pitcher is almost ready to start forward gives me a good mix of movement/velocity, but if pitch confidence is low, this sometimes results in a very wild pitch, or a hanger. I really have to stay focused pitching on HOF.

If a starter is zoned in I will let him go until I get the message he is tired. Then, if it is a close game, I go to the closer, if I have a 3-6 run lead, I will have the closer or a setup guy warming, but try and go the distance with the starter. I yank him only if he allows a couple of base runners and the tying run is in the on deck circle. If it is a blowout (rare for me) I will usually bring in one of the scrub relievers to finish, not wanting to tempt the injury gods. I think I only have 5 or 6 complete games in my Yankee Franchise 105 games into the season.

I'm old so these are right up my alley.

                  I've loaded your latest rendition.

The only changes for me are I use 'retro' for my hitting view. For those off you who can't lay off those 12-6 Uncle Charley's and dropping changeup - this view gives you a little more window to try and lay off those.

Just like you listed I'm on Veteran for hitting and HOF for pitching.

Will get 20 or so games and come back and report on my ineptness.

Thanks for doing this BYU 14 and thanks to everybody else involved with the tweaks.

I don't think I have tried retro, I'll give it a shot in a couple of exhibition games as I am a sucker for 12-6 curves and low change ups. Probably over half my swinging strikeouts on those two

I just can't seem to get over .500 for any length of time with the Yankees. Fell to 47-49 last night in a tense 13 inning game with the Mariners

                      NY 3-11-0 13 innings
                      SEA 4-10-1
                      Tanaka vs. Iwakuma
                      2B: NY 3, Sea 2
                      HR: NY 2, Sea 0
                      BB: NY 2, Sea 3
                      K: NY 9, Sea 11

Tanaka got touched up for 3 runs in the 2nd inning, then locked it down going 7, giving up 5 hits and 1 walk, fanning 7. Iwakuma was even better and left after giving up a 1 out double in the 7th that made it 3-1. I tied it in the 8th on back to back homers by Carter and Bird (first Yankee to 20). Then had the winning run on 3rd twice in extras with less than 2 outs and couldn't finish. In the 13th Castro tried to bare hand a ball he had time to filed with his glove and dropped it. Generous scoring gave it a hit, to me E4, but oh well. That came back to haunt me as a two out seeing eye singe brought him in from 3rd.

Technically yes, the East is so balanced I an only 8 game in back of Toronto, but it will be hard to make it up with all the teams so equally matches.

Nothing major, I picked up Alex Amarista from the Padres to give me a more versatile utility player and Arodys Vizcaino from the Braves to add some bullpen depth with the injuries I have currently. Vizcaino actually pitched 3 scoreless innings in the 13 inning Mariners game above and has been solid for me, despite a terrible WHIP with the Braves.

I have tried to get both a solid #3 starter and a replacement for Headley at 3B, but everybody wants Clint Frazier, Gleyber Torres or Kaprielian in return and I am not letting them go as I expect Frazier and Torres to be on the MLB roster next year and Kaprielian is pitching well for me now after being pressed into action after Sevy and Mitchell got hurt.

I know it probably wasn't real and I regret doing it now but when I started my Red Sox franchise I traded Sandoval (I don't like him), Devers and a B prospect to Seattle for Kyle Seager. But also, I need to learn sometimes I have to have bad players and not all can be good players.

On my Pirates franchise I haven't made any trades. I'm one game up for the wild card and just past the all star break. I want to try to trade for Quintana but I struggle with him pitching for some reason.
