    I don’t remember. I’ll check when I play in a little while.

I didn’t realize until I fired my hitting coach that Aaron Boone isn’t the manager of the Yankees in the game.

What is the deal with foul frequency? I see you and most sliders sets on here have it on 3 or 4. Would it improve things for me to change it from default. I currently want to move to hof to get better sim results but i just cant hit on hof. Would foul frequency play into anything too drastic being that i have it on 5. I feel something is off and after reading all the threads it may be the issue.

Just wondering what that sliders impact is. Thanks in advance

I think i figured out my issue. I was on zone hitting. I switched to directional and have been getting much better results on all star. I did lower foul slider to 4. Seems to be a good spot.

Hitting coach is Eric Delgaudio. Attribute grade A, clutch and discipline are +2, vision is +3 and bunting is -2. My hitting has vastly improved and I’m drawing a ton of walks and getting CPU pitchers into deep counts, running up their pitch count. So far this move has paid off.

I thought seriously about firing my hitting coach, and i shopped around and found a few potentials. I dont think my hitting coach believed me until i started looking seriously at other coaches. Since then, my team's hitting has greatly improved. Sometimes that hitting coach just needs to know you are serious lol.

If it reverts back, he knows he's outtahere.

Do you guys walk the CPU. I'm on Hall of Fame pitching and have trouble throwing balls, unless I force it up in myself. Trying to find a balance to get more walks in game.

The amount of balls real pitchers throw is a combo of strikes that missed the zone and balls that were never meant to be strikes.

A lot of pitches that are balls are meant to be balls. They want the hitter to chase.

Think of it less as "I gotta make myself throw balls" and more "I want to get the hitters to chase stuff out of the zone".

Best way for me is to make the CPU punish you more. You'll aim for the corners more and miss.

Nicely put. All pitches are not meant to catch the zone. I think a lot players don't realize this.

The only other thing i would add to this is the CPU offense needs to be potent enough to need to do this at times. If pitching to contact (in the zone) all the time works, there is not much motivation to throw out of the zone to get hitters to chase.

Yep, this exactly. On 0-2 I'm not throwing a pitch that will even accidentally be a strike, should I miss meter input or get just plain unlucky. The only exception to that is if I'm rolling with a good control pitcher and his confidence is maxed or close to it - such that I can be reasonably sure I won't leave a fat one out over the plate. The only intent is a swing and miss, and a ball if they take it.

It's not wasting pitches, because the opponent (human or cpu) can swing and miss at them if they land remotely close to the strike zone. If they don't it's a ball and I get to try again, perhaps putting the next one a little closer to the zone (but still not intentionally trying to throw a strike)

One thing I’ve learned with classic pitching is you need to aim waaaay out of the zone when you’re ahead 0-2. Unless you have a power pitcher and can blow a fastball by the hitter, anything remotely close will get hit.

Reason I roll with QC besides games quicker , variety in counts as well. Example last game. I had batters back to back with 3-0 counts, ended upon walking both. Luckily they just got 1 run out of inning; but was a young reliever as well, so felt realistic and tough to get out of inning. I wish I was good as you guys though, I am still playing OP settings on All Star. Here are results of my last 10 played QC games, I play every other game.
                            3-4
                            1-0
                            4-2
0-7- Nationals no hitter against me.
                            4-1
                            1-7
                            1-3
                            4-5
                            8-0
                            4-3
I am 5-5 in last 10 games played. All different types of games, and on QC. So get more games in when I can play. [emoji106]

I love Qiuick Counts. It is frustrating at times when you are struggling to hit it seems that every at bat starts at 0-2 or 1-2. Which in real life, they say when hitters struggle they always seem to be in a 0-2 count.

It’s so easy to get lulled to sleep by this. I’ve had games where I’m just cruising on the mound through 6 or 7 innings, then get lazy to one batter, and next thing I know I’ve got bases loaded and one out with the middle of the order coming up.
