Hey Mike,

I am tempted to update Ridin's 2.0 OSFM set to include MBMavs pitch edits.
Have you had any experience playing around with those pitch edits? Do you feel like it will throw your amazing slider set so out of whack that I'll enter slider hell?

I've made a ton of cosmetic changes to that roster set, but am leery in altering
the player ratings.

Thoughts?

Man..i then lost 6 in a row..last 3 by walkoffs to the Cubs..but I love it and eager to break the streak..i see we can play with the Cubs though..great sliders

I used the Hybrid rosters the last years with Mike's sliders (or close) and I didn't have issues. I believe they used those same pitch edits. They are doing their own pitch edits this year based on Statcast i think.

FYI by the time you edit all of those pitchers, the Hybrid rosters will probably be out, which will include the fully re-rated OSFM roster (MUCH better than SDS and it's not even close in my opinion, and along with my spreadsheets, Ive analyzed them both in detail, the last few years) also with all pitches edited in detail.

However, since these sliders weren't tested with Hybrid, or any other pitch edits, it would just have to be tested by the user. I know they affect strike percentages of individual pitchers, but as long as it's in balance across the board it shouldn't matter.

From my experience, Hybrid has balanced well in the past and i had no problem, although i usually make a few tweaks to sliders anyway, but didn't seem to be based on the roster i was using.

i cannot speak for this year but based on the past I highly recommend Hybrid, if you don't mind waiting a little longer.

How are you’re guys HBP numbers? Should be getting about 1 every 3 game as per MLB stats. I’m well short of that for now.
Love where the sliders are at so not touching anything.

These are my friends and my own combined CPU pitching stats through over 100 combined games since the release date, all played with all CPU pitching sliders at default and on Legend hitting.

(Version 1.0 of these sliders).

This does not include patch 1.08, however.

HBP - .44/G (MLB .34)
WP - .45/G (MLB .37)
CPU Strike % - 63.9% (MLB 64%)
CPU 1st Strike % - 62.3% (MLB 60%)
BB/G - 2.89 /G (MLB 3.11)

Precisely why I went with strike % down a notch, BUT consistency up another notch (more control, but not just more strikes, actually less).

I'm still looking for a good roster to use before I start a franchise but I'd second that notion. You won't find a slider set that is more accurate/realistic to real life than Mike Lowe's. If you're good enough at the game there's no reason to use another set. Those numbers are so good!

Mike, I wanna enjoy your sliders so bad but since last year I started using classic pitching as I really enjoyed authentic display and visualization but of I get hammered using it with your sliders lol! I always used meter before but I was curious what sliders would you recommend me changing as I can’t find a good balance or have you completely stayed away from other pitching deliveries?
