Home runs from Bryce Harper, Andrew McCutchen, and Cesar Hernandez keep that Champagne on ice for the Nationals! We took game 3 by a score of 6-1 and go for the 4-game sweep in the next game with Gerrit Cole on the mound! This is a fun ride in the last week of the season!

I have been playing DD almost exclusively the past two years but at heart a franchise fan, so I decided to try these settings out and so far I’m loving it! This game is so much fun offline playing every game. Thank you for the hard work and for sharing it!

He was 3-10 in the first half with an era over 5. But he is now 7-11 in the high 3's. He's been nails in the second half. He also has been in the top 10 in NL pitching WAR all season strangely even when he was 3-10. Probably due to good FIP and K/BB ratio. He is a 78 ovr but playing at an 83 due to a morale boost.

Nice turn around from 3-10 to 7-11 . Reason I ask is cus In my 2nd year of the franchise the Giants sent him down to the minors to make room for James Paxton and Mike Minor . I've been a fan of his for a good while and would love to pitch with him in my Franchise , so I did a little experimental trade and offered up Randal Grichuck since they are lacking in the outfield and the Giants were thrilled to get a solid outfielder with pop . I'm personally not a huge fan of Grichuck and have Domingo Santana eyed as a replacement , so I'm happy to let him go . In my Franchise Cueto is 82 rated and once I threw him in the number 2 spot behind Ryu he went up to a 86 . I would be taking on some extra $$ but I I've managed my money wisely so it can be done . It's just a possibility for now , still undecided but as a Giants fan and virtual reality GM how would u feel about this lol I'll also add-in a youngster with b potential

Really that sounds like a fair trade as both teams will be trading from a position of depth to acquire a good player who fills a need. Santana is a solid player too. In Cueto you will be getting a dependable starter and he is fun to pitch with because he doesn't have lights-out stuff you really have to pitch and not just out-stuff guys. But because he is rated that highly he can be effective if you use him properly.
I like Grichuck because I have a thing for power/speed players. But if you can put out a playoff lineup without him then it will be a good move. Especially if you have a hole in your rotation.

Yeah I can do without Grichuck and I believe Santana can bounce back and perform well for us . He had a terrible season with the Mariners and a change of scenery is just what he needs . And yes at 86 rated Cueto is a beast still and in a way reminds me of Ryu, they are kinda similar . Both don't have great velo and lights out stuff , with them it takes good control and finesse to be successful. And let me just say Ryu is incredible man , just a amazing pitcher . Thanks for ur thoughts as always

Luis Severino Pitches Complete Game Shutout On Opening Day at Toronto to Lead Yankees to 4-0 Win.

Sevi who won the Cy Young Award in Year 2 had an up and down year in 2019. Well 2020 is off to a rousing start. He tossed 9 shutout innings and dominated the Blue Jays to help lead the Yankees to a 4-0 opening day win at the Rogers Centre. Aaron Judge blasted a two run shot in the first inning off Marcus Stroman and Greg Bird added a solo shot. Yankees new comer DJ Lemahieu had an RBI single as well.

LMFAO what else is new . Yet again Baltimore manages to steal another win off me . Have a look at this , Ryu pitched 4 innings allowing only 1 hit and we were leading 8-0 until the 5th inning where they put together 6 straight hits including a 3 run bomb to make it 8-6. Then in the 8th they added another 3 and that was game over for me . Always Baltimore lol

The Phillies have concluded the 2019 season with a 3 game sweep of the Marlins to finish 10 games over .500 with a record of 86-76. The sweep of the Marlins is actually a painful one as the Nationals were also swept by the Indians. If we would have swept that 4 game series with the Nationals, we would have ended the season in a tie and played game 163. Unfortunately, that was the only game the Phillies lost the final week of the season and it cost us.

The Phillies went 18-9 in the month of September and the Nationals went 14-13. Such a shame we lost that one game.

It appears that the Angels and Astros are tied atop the AL West so they will be playing a game 163 to determine the division champion and Wild Card winner.

I accomplished a personal goal this season as I was finally able to walk 100 times with a player. I did this with Bryce Harper who finished the season with exactly 100 walks. Bryce also only committed one error in the outfield the entire season.

I will be posting an update with all of the end of season stats and whatnot. Be on the lookout for that.
