Just a quick update, I think All Star+ (achieved via Dynamic Difficulty) can work well with this setup as a way to add some 'teeth' if needed (lhsballa has been using it - and it looks good). I've added that to the OP as an option.

(Just please....if you decide to use it and have specific feedback, please reference the fact you're using AS+).

SH to 4 was indeed a game changer, but lets not forget Control and Stamina to 6. Everything works in conjunction, and Josh has knocked it out of the park (along with SDS- KUDOS).

It's funny because its what 3 tweaks to default? It's why I subscribe to Josh's way of doing things. It allows you to isolate the values and really find the right mix that brings out everything the game already brings to the table.

I'm almost through 70 games, and my enjoyment only continues to grow. I'm so wrapped up in these fictional rosters too, I urge you all to give it a look at least. You may be surprised how rewarding it is to remove all biases you carry about real players. Also, if you're like me and a fan of a terrible team IRL, it can offer a very enjoyable alternative.

The bolded....we don't get where we are if SDS didn't do such an amazing job with the game.

And yeah...Bacon's roster has been a major godsend...so much so that my Reds carryover save is feeling neglected (I'll have to give that 'chise some love tonight).

Just like the Giants, I LOVE playing in that beautiful park but that roster is just so boring. You are pretty much stuck playing with Longoria and the other veterans.

Dude...I was going to do a Giants franchise last year...and man, that roster...just incredibly bland.

I was playing with Josh’s sliders from the start of my franchise. I went about 70 games with solid hits 5, pitch control 5, and pitch speed 6/5. (I play 2 out 3 games each series, or 2/2 in 4 game sets. I never fully SIM a game, I’ll go in and SIM half inning at time and manage, I’ll jump in if game is on the line.)

A few days ago I switched over to your latest sliders and just played a four game series with them. The pitching is much more challenging, it really keeps you on your toes. It makes you “lock” in more, love it.
I didn’t see much of a difference with the pitch speed to 7/6. I hit the same amount of HRs and perfect/perfect with solid hits to 4 but definitely noticed more bloops and flairs and routine grounders. Loving the feel to this. Real baseball!

I’m a few games away from the All-Star Break with Bacons rosters. I’ll definitely be posting some stats and stuff when I get there. Josh/Bacon combo has made this game really awesome, especially during this time we’re living in with no baseball. Totally has kept me sane👌😷

I feel like you can’t even do a realistic rebuild with that team. I have never done the fictional rosters.

When you hit All-Star +, just go into your slider settings and move the dynamic difficulty slider all the way to the left. That essentially locks it at All-Star + permanently.

The last time I saw the dynamic difficulty level upgrade thing I wasn’t paying attention bc I was looking else where on the screen and saw hall of fame on the right of the meter for when All-Star usually would show up at the bottom. I’m gonna try to find out if it progressed to hall of fame bc I think there was a meter that might of had “All-Star” on the left showing where I was between the 2 difficulties spectrem.

There’s no way to check in the pause menu when on dynamic that I know of. Or is there?

Sorry to double post here but I saw it last this morning and since I only saw it for a split second I didn’t catch the difficulty. So basically when on dynamic in the past, the difficulty increase would pop up like when my ace was dealing striking out the side two innings in a row or pitching to the extent of the game needing to up the difficulty.

It's VERY subtle and not enough to warrant ANY slider changes; but it'll be just a tad harder. I'm not exactly sure what mechanically changes (my guess is that it shrinks the user contact a hair and the user control a hair).

If you are getting good game variety on AS (as I am), you don't need to make the move. I added it as an option because I have seen it up close and know it's viable.

My guess is that your PCI would shrink slightly while the cpu's would increase the same amount. The cpu would pitch again slightly better with regards to painting the corners while yours would just a bit harder. I played some at AS+ and the pitch speeds IMO seemed a little faster.
