Just a general observation after playing many games of the show.

I bumped up outfielder arm to 6.

There are way too many weak throws from the outfielders. Despite their game ratings, these outfielders have rifles for arms. Most if not all can get a throw into 2nd base quickly and on a rope. I just see way too many short or lazy throws in critical situations.

I did work with it on 8 to 10 but that is way op and anyone can throw it on a dime. At 6 there is still plenty of ratings involved but a little more "umph" behind their throws.

Just a word of caution. That may make CPU baserunners less aggressive in taking extra bases or running when they should. Not stating this as "gospel" but just something for you to observe.

As for me, I'm 100% locked-in to the OP. I'm getting tremendous variety in game outcomes (and I've seen games that others have played with the OP). There may be some nagging items here and there; but nothing I'm worried about at this time. Even with great pitchers, I have to really focus when pitching, or I will get beat up.

As for me, I'm 100% locked-in to the OP. I'm getting tremendous variety in game outcomes (and I've seen games that others have played with the OP). There may be some nagging items here and there; but nothing I'm worried about at this time. Even with great pitchers, I have to really focus when pitching, or I will get beat up.

If that’s the case I’d love if the cpu was more cautious because I’ve seen way too many times the cpu trying to stretch a bloop single to center field into a double just for me to throw them out by 10 feet

I have also seen that. Its very strange because its not even close and the decision to take the extra base does not make any sense.

I've seen both extremes (and it very often a reflection of the player ratings).

TBH, this is one of the major reasons I don't touch the baserunning/arm sliders (and rarely stick to fielding slider adjustments). Not saying that this is a "better approach", but when I DO see both extremes with default settings and neither extreme seems to be preferentially favored, then it's a strong sign that the engine itself is balanced. You start messing around with the settings, you the run the risk of altering the AI to even more extremes. For my tastes, the risk isn't worth the "reward".

Hi Josh. I was wondering what your take is on the thread I saw about using 8 for starter stamina, 8 for reliever stamina and 4 for manager hook. Supposedly this helps fix the bullpen logic. I just want to play this game as accurately as possible.

I'm not prepared to speak on this topic at this time until I accumulate more data on default settings. I will say that up to now I have had no issues with CPU bullpen logic on default settings.

The only area I am currently monitoring are SP pitch counts relative to their individual stamina ratings and when they are pulled from games.

I will say that there is a better chance that 10 people reading this will win the lottery in the next week than there is that I will adopt those settings.

I'm having fun with the OP and Josh's roster file. Three games into my A's season and I'm 0-3, losing a 12-9 shootout in 12, 4-3 in 11 and then losing 2-0 where I just couldn't get much going. The three double plays and 2 caught stealing didn't help, I don't think I had a player reach second base.

Speaking of caught stealing, so far with this game (this small franchise sample plus plenty of other games played since the release) it seems like the CPU catcher makes perfect throws almost every time on a steal attempt. I am using the OP sliders so I'm on Auto for baserunning and have for all of my games played. Is this just a coincidence or are others seeing that?

Hey Josh, I've seen a few other threads mentioning wind as overpowered and affecting game temperatures. What are your thoughts? Have you thought about lowering wind?

I apologize if you've already spoken on this. I tried searching through the thread and couldn't find anything about it.
