Thought I’d share a cool moment I’ve never seen before in all my years of playing MLB The Show. I’m the Nationals play at Fenway vs BOS. Rookie Drew Mendoza is the DH. I got a slider down and in and hit a line drive that hooked right into the first row next to the pesky pole. I’ve played many games at Fenway across titles dating back to 06 the show, never have I hit a homer to right at the pesky pole that hooked like that. It truly was an awesome baseball moment at an iconic part of a classic stadium.

I'm loving the sliders, but is anyone else having a problem with the pitching sim stats? Yankees had Cole and Severino both go over a 4.5 ERA for two straight years meanwhile the entire Seattle and Oakland rotation has a sub 3.5 ERA and they're all 77-82 overalls.

I get variance, but it's a little ridiculous, just didn't know if there is a way to fix it. Seeing deGrom randomly having worse years than Stroman and Walker on his own team is a little off-putting lol

Anyone else struggling to hit now? I've been using these sliders for months with a lot of variety in my exhibition games. I had some games where I scored 10 or more runs and other games where I would score anywhere from 0-3 runs. I took about a month break from the game and recently started playing again and now I'm struggling to hit. In my last 3 exhibition games I've scored a total of 5 runs and had 12 hits with a ton of strikeouts. Not sure if they've changed anything with patches, but it definitely feels a lot different now than it previously did. I guess it could just be that I'm out of practice, but something feels off with timing maybe.

Diving into my Bacon franchise this year....my lord. As it good as it was with MLB20; it's utterly amazing to see this in action for MLB21.

Also made the final update on the sliders (setting injuries to 7 as I think they still work well with the full Bacon 93 man).

Dude I have games where I struggle to scrape a run or two per game. But it doesn't last. And it helps to have some bench guys that I can depend on to help get through the rough stretches.

These sliders are spot on [emoji39]. Played the AL Wild Card game yesterday afternoon before the real one. Yankees lost 5-2 to the Sox, got out hit 7-6. Real life Yankees lost 6-2, got out hit 7-6. When I was watching the real thing, it was actually pretty weird how close things played out.

About to play the NL Wild Card now. Will be streaming this one as well. If you missed the AL Wild Card game it’s saved on my twitch.

I'm just going to drop this right here....

Bacon's full 93-man fictional roster + MLBTS21 + these sliders = the absolute best baseball experience I've ever had in a video game.

I pretty much feel like anything can happen while still seeing that player ratings really stand out. But I have to be smart and disciplined in all phases of the game; if my focus slips, my performance slips as well....which is exactly where I want things to be.

I've had tight low-scoring games, been knocked around, and last night had my first crazy run-fest (a 10-9 game where we nearly blew a 10-4 lead going into the 8th).....all in just the first 9 games. I've already seen several injuries (including losing my 2B for 2 months).

I'm just now starting to learn my squad; but I can see the stories emerging. I am beginning to learn where I need to begin digging for possible upgrades and who my potential studs are. (The surprise of the season, a 58 overall reliever who is just throwing gas by everyone).
