    Thanks Armour.

Been using your set up and sliders the past few days ( tweaked a bit for my own skill level) and have really found my happy zone. Game is playing great with the CPU keeping things competitive.

Going to be keeping this set up for the foreseeable future.

    Thanks again.

Running with a Reds franchise and pitching with Justin Dunn vs the Braves. I hit a 100 pitches in the 5th inning!!!

I’ve never had this challenge pitching before.

      Beauty!

Still playing random franchise test games as I await OSFM with full equipment edits.

I was ambushed!!!! (LOL Derosa reference could not resist). Ended up losing with a final score of:

        12-0

Trout destroyed me with 2 HR’s and 5 RBI.

Ohtani shut me down going 7 strong on 102 pitches and 12K’s 4 Walks and 4 hits.

Game is playing incredible. I was matching Ohtani for 4 innings of shut out ball and then the wheels fell off on my location and I hung a slider out to Trout who put it in the seats for the first of his 2 HR’s. I had Lucas Giolito on the bump. He needed up yielding 7 runs before he left in the 6th.

V1 is locked in......unless I see anything wonky over a long period of games....we are locked in folks!!!

I’m still struggling to find a challenge… My 5th pitcher in the rotation only threw 70 pitches through 7… I’m not sure why pitching is so easy for me this year, and this is the first time I’ve used a full clean screen..

Good stuff! For anyone still saying the offense still needs a boost…. Play the Blue Jays. I took a 5-0 1st inning lead as the Yanks and lost in 12 8-7. Plenty of Offense !

                Sample size…..it’s been preached forever.

I am playing a test franchise (till Ridin drops his rosters).

I have been playing ALL American League games and am now on day 5 of the season.

The Show captures the ebbs and flows of a 162 season beautifully.

Opening Day and Day 2 saw very little offense from the CPU. Day 3 I saw an uptick in offense and day 4 pitchers were being crushed in every game I played.

I’d say these are pretty locked in.
Pitch speed, hook and stamina’s are all I am focused on right now.

Re: Armor & Sword’s MLB The Show 22 Classic/Directional/Clean Screen Simulation Slide

Once V1 dropped, I simply couldn't resist starting my main play every pitch Yankees franchise, even without roster set. The out of the box rosters are completely sufficient and I just couldn't wait any longer. Quick managed all spring training games to hammer out the OD roster.

3-0 through the first three @ Texas. After 2 innings on Opening Day, I was up 9-0 thinking oh boy... but ended up not scoring again and winning 9-4. Cole was solid through 5.2 scoreless, throwing 79 pitches, with 1 hit but 4 walks. Threw Peralta wasn't great through the final 3.1.

Took the second game 3-0 with more early scoring and Sevy (5.1 IP, also 79 pitches) and the bullpen were solid.

Game three was the most fun so far. Again put up a 4-spot in the first inning, 1 in the 2nd, and Montgomery gave 3 back before leaving with an injury in the 5th (one of those 1-6 day injury's, so no IL but questionable for next start). Bullpen ended up letting Texas tie it up at 5. In the 7th I pinch ran Locastro for Trevino after a leadoff single. Locastro stole second, Donaldson struke out, Rizzo walked, and then Locastro and Rizzo completed a double steal. Judge then walked to load the bases before Stanton grounded into a rally killing DP. I put IKF in at catcher after taking Trevino out, and put Marwin Gonzalez in at short. In the top 8th, a clutch 2-run double in the LF corner by Gonzalez in his first at bat of the game would put us ahead 7-5 and Green and Chapman shut it down to lock in the series W.

I love the flexibility that this team has compared to last year. DJLM as a 5th IF being able to move around, Stanton playing more OF, Judge able to play CF.

Was worried about too much offense after the first two innings, but that's why sample size is so important. I scored 9 in two innings and then 10 in the next 25 innings. Still, 3 games isn't even a lot but 19 runs in 3 games against the Rangers is completely within the realm of possibility. Going for the 4 game sweep to start the year with Taillon on the mound! Going to give Stanton a blow after a rough first 3 and DJ is starting out hot.

On this... I will usually influence "up" in a double play situation, and hit into 5 double plays in my second game of the season against Texas doing this.

Thinking of abandoning the influence at least in that situation. Otherwise, I will only influence in hitters counts (and even then with just certain hitters) either "pull" or "pull + up"

I think biggest thing with DP situations is laying off low pitches regardless of influence.

Honestly, the only time I try to influence is when I am trying to hit behind the runner, go opposite field (due to hitter attributes and the count I am in) or I am feeling GREEDY and the count says I should be looking to pull/crush a FB.

As I write this, I bet I only influence a swing a handful of times a game (if that).

Now that we are very close with a "set it and never look back" slider set, I am thinking of doing something when I start my every game/every pitch franchise.

Looking for some feedback, in case I have a blind spot.

WHAT IF, the user controls the CPU's bullpen during a game.

I feel like those who follow this thread and believe in Armor's approach know baseball really well. I'd think we know how to manage bullpens.

Would games play better, if we were making these decisions for the CPU?
Heck, most of us already change the CPU's batting order before a game or series, so it's not like we would deliberately put a bad RP in to give us the advantage....at least I wouldn't.

I just want to see more strategy deployed by the CPU....Lefties vs Lefties etc.
I don't any slider will fix BP mgt....hook helps a little, but it doesn't mean the CPU is choosing the right RP to come in.

I saw quite a few injuries as well, I lowered it to 9, but that's just my preference.

I moved to 8 after losing Springer, Biggio and Gausman for 1-2 months.

Silly question maybe. Is the music in-game copyrighted music? Meaning walk up music, pitcher music, between innings music, ect. I'm asking for recording YouTube videos. Thanks for answering.
