To be honest bro, way I see it is if it's good enough for Armor, it's good enough for me. I'm sure I'm not alone in having his sliders and general playstyle define my own. I say get started with the latest updates, make changes that you deem necessary, as I'm sure a lot of us are, and let it be your own universe. The base rosters are really good this year. If some of the missing players bother you too much, then just download some CAP's or find one of the rosters that have them included.



My plan is to just copy over some prospects from Ridin's roster if I notice any important prospects missing. As I go I will edit some equipment, potentials and what not to make sure they are in line with what I would like to see. Make it your own, don't worry too much about the logistics of it, just have fun and play ball.

Yeah ultimately you do whatever makes you happy. That’s the best part!

Ootb rosters are “good” for most MLB teams but the issue is the minor leagues. Guys who are 74 overall, in Single A ball and have a 65 potential… There is a lot of weird stuff like that.

I am def waiting for Cycloniac/ Ridin or ViatorLion’s rosters to start my full every pitch franchise mode.

Torn on teams right now so a little extra time is okay I suppose.

They aren't perfect and probably never will be. I just don't like the roster messed with, unless I personally do it. That way I know what was done. I know a lot of these are just "equipment edits" or said to only be, but I've seen to many threads or posts that lead me to believe otherwise. And that's fine, and to each its own. I've played with many other "real life" rosters and "rerated rosters" and it always ruins the experience for me. So I decided this year, it's the 1st or 2nd live roster update, make some balance adjustments, maybe some potential grade adjustments and just have fun.
My view of the minor league players is, they are what they are. No one, not even scouts know how a player will turn out or what kind of career they will have. Why should The Show be any different.
I have players in Cleveland that I love and want to be successful, but I won't manipulate the potential or attributes to make them great. Not even the hot start Kwan is on.

I love the 6 contact 5 power and 4 solid hits for both. Yielding some great results. I’m using the exact OP just with power back down to default 5.

I very well may be moving power back down to 5 as well.

I am loving solid hits at 4. I think it overall gives the best exit velo. I did go one step further and have wind at 4 as well. I'm seeing hits going over outfielders head, guys hitting real distance home runs so to say, drop in singles, the variety is beautiful.

Great base set so far Armor!!!

I’ve been playing 6/5/4 for both CPU and User and it’s been a great point for me. Still hitting homers But seeing variety as well.

I’m just lazy (and not very knowledgeable)to do all that

Every year my formula for fun is the same:

- buy game
- install game
- load Armour’s sliders
- wait for a quality opening day roster.
- start franchise.

So I rely on you for a slider set that I follow exactly (except pitch speeds are 6/6)

And I rely on others (ridin) for a top notch roster, as I don’t know the mlb players well enough to start adjusting ratings to what I think is right. I am not concerned at all about ratings for prospects/minors

So I assume if you are starting your franchise now, that means the mlb player ratings are just fine in the latest update and don’t need any adjusting?

I just want to play the game with a quality slider and roster set (without doing any of the work)!!

The only change I made was to reduce the CPU power to 5. I did reduce my power to 5 as well, but I felt that I was not getting good results, over and over, even when making good contact so I put it back to 6. And probably I'm just not very good at the game, so I needed to make some adjustments for my skill level.



I also use the pitch meter, so that may have an effect, and is why I felt the need to reduce the CPU power to 5.



I'm using AntOrtiz's v2 rosters, and I feel that he did a great job adding in missing players like Suzuki. The latest live rosters seemed off to me, especially Suzuki's ratings.

I've had it pop up on the screen and give me the option to challenge or not, but I haven't tried to challenge myself.

The challenge system has not changed since it’s introduction.

Only plays at first can be challenged when the pop up occurs.

It will never happen with men on base.

It is still in the game.
