Hello Everybody--Hope you are all enjoying the Easter Holiday!!

UK old fart here....just purchased the SHOW 22....
Enjoying getting to grips (hadnt bought since 2019-20)---Is there anything that I need to set up Slder wise for an authentic style experiance ie: Batting Power, Fould Balls / Pictching Speeds etc?
(I seem to recall my much loved 19 bersion produced too many Fouls, not enough Doubles, Slow Base Running etc) that were fixed via slider tinkering....

While I am here, please may i say a MASSIVE WELL DONE to the original poster/ thread creator, whoese opening introduction and explanantion was enteraining and informative in itsef......Love the Clear Screen concept!

I do have one Question though---If I MISS the Catchers signs , is there a button I can press to "see again"?

I’m loving the clean screen approach but I’m seriously considering going to All Star +, I’m 42 games into an every inning, every pitch franchise and I’m in the bottom 3 of every offense statistical ranking with the Cardinals. Anyone else having this trouble? I picked the Cards as they are my favorite team but I only have 2 guys batting over .215 and I really want to be able to be true to real life as possible

Curious about how the sliders look statistically for simulation of other games than the one you play as your team? I know in years past we would have sliders for playing and sliders to load when advancing days.

Any info on that for ‘22?

I’ve already dropped my power back down to 5. I was hitting too many home runs that didn’t feel natural. First game with the drop in power and had a great game that still had each team hit 2 homers but I also finally starting seeing more runs score via singles or sac flies.

Do d you drop power down to 5 for both teams? My last few games have pretty much been doubles and homers or nothing for me.

I’m probably going to drop mine down as well, but don’t want to nerf the CPU.

Are most people waiting for a roster set (ex. Ridin’s) to be completed to starting their franchises?

What are your thoughts regarding mlb player ratings in newest updated live roster?

Yes dropped it down for both human and cpu. Seeing some great games now.

Through 13 games JP Crawford already had 6 home runs and a lot of deep fly outs for me.

Ever since the change, I’m starting to see runs scored in a variety of ways. Cpu also seems to be a little more patient at the plate.

The only other slider I’m concentrating on right now is starting pitching stamina for both user and cpu. Might drop down to 6 but not sure yet.

I may try this too - I liked the Beta v2 sliders a bit better. I am playing as the Jays so hard to tell - they do crush the ball normally lol

Ootb rosters played fine for me. I used them for testing. So I just took the 4/15 update and made some minor roster move adjustments and am 4 games into my permanent franchise for both play and MoM franchises. Cano is suspended/retired. Baseball moves on in my book. I don't play for real life mimic. Real life baseball is real life and mlbts is my world.
All I really did to the roster was balance it so it wouldn't cause any dumb trades at the start of the season.

I appreciate the feedback, I’m definitely someone who can get stuck in the slider tweaking. So, just gonna wait for a roster and for better or worse… just stick with what I’ve been doing. Glad others felt power was a tad high, thanks again!

Ootb rosters are “good” for most MLB teams but the issue is the minor leagues. Guys who are 74 overall, in Single A ball and have a 65 potential… There is a lot of weird stuff like that.

I am def waiting for Cycloniac/ Ridin or ViatorLion’s rosters to start my full every pitch franchise mode.

Torn on teams right now so a little extra time is okay I suppose.

To be honest bro, way I see it is if it's good enough for Armor, it's good enough for me. I'm sure I'm not alone in having his sliders and general playstyle define my own. I say get started with the latest updates, make changes that you deem necessary, as I'm sure a lot of us are, and let it be your own universe. The base rosters are really good this year. If some of the missing players bother you too much, then just download some CAP's or find one of the rosters that have them included.

My plan is to just copy over some prospects from Ridin's roster if I notice any important prospects missing. As I go I will edit some equipment, potentials and what not to make sure they are in line with what I would like to see. Make it your own, don't worry too much about the logistics of it, just have fun and play ball.
