        Jim,
The logo file worked. There was a Nationals logo on the Expos field.
I'm not sure if the sound file worked. The play-by-play guy still said "Montreal Expos". Is it supposed to replace it for him or for the stadium announcer?

Hmmmmm. I had thought I had "silenced" any reference to the Expos. When the game starts does it say something like "the Philadelphia Phillies vs. the Washington National"????? I may have just sent you the wrong sound file. Let me know.

Was the logo also in the other screens? You know box score and such?

              Hey, Schmo,
I also play on PS2. I'm seeing lots of doubles, but only one home run total in 3 games. I usually can hit alot in BP, but so far not in a game. Maybe increse power a little bit and decrease foul balls? I was going to mess with power slider this weekend. I'll let you know how it goes.

Re: High Heat 2004 Anything & Everything Thread

Today is a sad day.....I can't get HH2004 to install on my new Vista computer - the installation hangs at the very start, before choosing all the settings. The disc is scratched up anyway, so that might be more the problem with it. I tried copying the entire disc contents over as well, but it just asks me for the disc when I click the application (and yes, the disc is in there).

Too bad...looks like I might finally have to say goodbye. Even if the disc is the culprit and not Vista, there's no way I'll find another copy of the PC game.

I actually looked on ebay the other day, and there was a copy of 2004 for 21 shipped.

Thanks, but unfortunately now I don't think that's gonna help...

I was actually able to image the disc with CloneCD, and mount it with D-Tools, but even then it hangs at the same point in the installation - the window that says setup is preparing the installshield wizard, and it stops at 100%.

What's more, I even dug up my copy of HH2003, tried to install it, and it does the exact same thing. Something in that 3DO install program is having issues with Vista.

I tried compatibility mode on the setup.exe too - several different compatibility modes. No luck.

Any of you guys running either of these on Vista? If so, how'd you get them to work?

Update: IT WORKED!!! I don't know why, but about a half hour after that 100% came up, the installation finally progressed! I was able to go on and select the install options and it went off without a hitch. Even better, my scratched disc would crash occasionally during installations on my old XP box, while copying over the uniforms. With the image I made (dunno why CloneCD could read the disc perfectly while the installer couldn't...), everything copied over perfectly.

I'm back in the game!! Now, where's that tune file...?

                          No, he said Montreal Expos.

I didn't play a full game, so I didn't see the box score. The Expos logo was in the team selection menu.

okay, let me do some more searching. I'm just wondering if I didn't send the correct sound file as there's more than one.

on the ps2, is there a way to save the "sim" setting and the camera options? i only see the option to change them before/during the game and when i try to save options following the game it doesnt actually save. thanks for any help you can give.

For some reason I thought High Heat 2004 had a pitching cursor (like MVP). I rememberd pitching being more fun then, 2 for strike and 3 for ball. Am I missing a setting or something?
