Dude the Fielder Cam looks totally tits. Moving around the right thumb stick to view third base as the center fielder gets ready for a all-balls-out throw to 3rd base to cut down a runner sure sounds cool to me. I am glad they are allowing users to invert the face buttons to mimmick the diamond from a reverse angle.

I dunno what more you could ask for...the movies prove it to be the real deal.

Did I say it wasn't going to be good? Some of you guys need to read a bit. All i said was it's not going to put customers in their cars, go to the store and pay $50 bucks for ASB. FPF football was a good feature but it didn't put ESPN any where close to madden in terms of sales.

The cam is a 3rd person view, which makes it much better for users. The 1st person thing just doesnt work cause the lack of peripheral vision space on TV's. First person sports will never work becuase of that one fault. btw, it is making people jump into their cars...I am on of them.

What about the way that CPU fielders wait until the last second to move on any pop fly to the outfield so that they can make the "web gem" catch every time (followed by an immediate, awkward transition to the crouch)? Is that realistic? It happened a lot in past ASB games and yet you felt they were realistic, but now that EA is perhaps giving the user too much control over making good plays its a problem? I just don't understand the logic. I actually liked ASB last year for the first time since the pre-Xbox/PS2 days, but I want to see some of these little problems that hold the game back each year get fixed rather than new options and gimmicks.

I guess I see your point. The fielders would drift to make over the shoulder catches and what not. However, the infielders did not play that way, it only happened on fly balls, and not too often. Naturally you did see MLB players (Adruw Jones) drift after balls and make a "not fundamental" catch. However, I don't think you see a lot of pitchers running to the line on a bunt an picking it up, doing a 180 turn and firing the ball to first.

But it is all opinion, I was just stating that is how MVP makes me feel when I see the videos. And how it made me feel playing it last year. It's all opinion.

And yes, I think too much control can be a bad thing.

You may be right about too much control, but I'm definitely intrigued and want to try it out. If it allows me to make all kinds of ridiculous plays that should never happen, then I will have a problem with it. If it just gives me the control to make plays that a good outfielder could make and just over does it a little bit with the animations (the 180 pitcher throw thing), then I'm fine with that. I think both games should be fun and realistic, but I think they will play VERY differently. Should be interesting.
