Not sure if it can be completely lost, but I did a double take when I saw the ball roll in there, glad I remembered where it was, heh. I also really liked the opening to the game, it showed the famous red Wrigley Field sign and fans walking into the stadium, man I miss living in Chicago.

Um, let's see, other little things:

-Jon & Joe breaking down the three strikes leading to the strikeout.
-Showing Derrek Lee's homer in the 4th inning when he came up to bat again in the 6th inning.
-Cool fan heckling, one I liked so far was one aimed at Melvin Mora something along the lines of "Hey Melvin, I'd like to see some Mora ya striking out!".
-When runners get into scoring position and a big hitter comes up, if you don't have an ace on the mound the pitcher will be rattled and pitching becomes pretty difficult. Jon & Joe also make note of this, and you can even call a mound visit to try and calm the pitcher down.
-AI managers arguing a fair/foul call, pretty awesome because I've never seen that before in a game.
-Tons and tons of stat tracking, reminds me of High Heat.
-The owner in GM Mode told me to cut a crappy pitcher (Scott Eyre) with a huge contract and for me to resign Prior, good thing his injury troubles don't translate into video games.

I'll find more, because I'm seeing new ones each game.
I think they had that in MVP....

Good post btw....finally someone actually stays on topic in this thread and provides some cool things to people who dont have the game.

-When you throw a ball near the gut of a big guy hovering over the plate, the announcers and batter recognize what you were doing.

Maybe I am just imagining it, but I started a Royals GM Career hoping to build them up... Anyway, playing the first game at home vs. the Tigers it seems that as the game went on the shadows krept in. Completely cover the pitchers mound now in the top of the 8th inning.

When you play as the runner on the basepaths, if you start chugging along the bases/get caught in a pickle, you can here your heartbeat race faster and faster

Anyway Jaque Jones hit a HR earlier. His next at bat he got beaned first pitch, Marquis was on the mound. Got tossed, warnings to both benches, and again La Russa went nuts. It was great.

The whole game was full of managers bitching, lots of tension, we eeked it out 7-6 after Dempster blew the save.
Sounds really cool. I'm really looking forward to it now.
No, I didn't draft Grossman on my fantasy team, what do you think I am an idiot?

can you still control a runner on the basepaths instead of the batter?

Yes. One of my favorite features.

Controlling the baserunner reminds me of that god awful first person baseball they had in this game a couple years ago... ugh

But playing with the baserunner is actually alot of fun, so I'm not sure why it does remind me of that...

Anyway, I was just about no hit by Jeremy Bonderman, and in the 8th inning Jon Miller started counting the outs. Luckily I got a hit with my leadoff guy in the 9th inning.

I guess I'll get a few positive things out there

                          -Baserunners sidestepping the tag
-Running into the wall and falling down when running down a catch
-Hitting a batter, the next inning the opposite pitcher hits your guy
-Joe and Jon messing up while talking
-the K cam(and being able to see the break of your pitch)
-Pitchers being rattled in high pressure situations

Are you talking about the ivy thing? If so then I think you are wrong, in my Cubs Franchises in MVP 2004 and 2005 that never happened once, the ball always bounced off the ivy like it was solid.

                            Some more things:

-The League News section covers a ton of things, I like it when it says when teams complete sweeps, Jim Edmonds getting his 1000 RBI, pitcher's throwing shut-outs, and seeing when other teams resign their guys. Not sure how many years I'll be able to get through in GM Mode, but apparently guys will get inducted into the HOF (I think MVP 2005 had this too), that's cool, not sure how it works out though.
-Pujols & Edmonds hit HRs in Wrigley and the fans chanted "Throw it back!". Hasn't happened yet, but I remember they would do that in High Heat, that was awesome.
-The stat overlays during at-bats is awesome, I love being able to see all those stats without having to pause the game, nice.
-And like someone else said: In Game Saves!!!!

Yeah i think MVP 2005 did have it but it didnt happen always, it was one of thoese rare things.Sometimes the ball would roll into the ivy and they would call a ground rule double. I think it happened to me about 3 times i think.

we should continue this thread for the 360, or have a little things 360 thread?

What do you guys think? Because the 360 version will have things that this version does not have. ex. Vendors
