Also, as for the 360 version, I suppose you guys could list those things in this thread, but just make sure you specify if it was a 360-exclusive type of thing like the vendors.

Re: The "positive little things" thread
After hearing all of the bad stuff about this game, I was thinking about returning my copy, that I've been afraid to open. But after reading this thread, it's got me a little excited about the game again. As soon as I find some ps2 rosters, I'll probably break it out.Comment

Re: The "positive little things" thread
I purchased the entire team's IE report on the Mets and when certain batters came up to bat, my infielders and outfielders would automatically adjust according to the IE batter's tendencies. I thought I would have to manually adjusting them. Very cool.Comment

Originally posted by TheLooseCannonAre you talking about the ivy thing? If so then I think you are wrong, in my Cubs Franchises in MVP 2004 and 2005 that never happened once, the ball always bounced off the ivy like it was solid.
Some more things:
-The League News section covers a ton of things, I like it when it says when teams complete sweeps, Jim Edmonds getting his 1000 RBI, pitcher's throwing shut-outs, and seeing when other teams resign their guys. Not sure how many years I'll be able to get through in GM Mode, but apparently guys will get inducted into the HOF (I think MVP 2005 had this too), that's cool, not sure how it works out though.
-Pujols & Edmonds hit HRs in Wrigley and the fans chanted "Throw it back!". Hasn't happened yet, but I remember they would do that in High Heat, that was awesome.
-The stat overlays during at-bats is awesome, I love being able to see all those stats without having to pause the game, nice.
-And like someone else said: In Game Saves!!!!
What's a nice touch is John Miller actually says, "It's off the Ivy" I thought that was cool stadium specific commentary in game.
Also I had Griffey hit a HR off of me. Then he robbed D. Lee of a HR. When he came up the next time Morgan talked about how he's killing us at the plate AND in the field and they showed both highlights. Thought that was cool.PSN: JISTIC_OS

As for the one guy who said that Manager would argue calls in MVP 05, he is correct. However, I don't think they would argue fair or foul, though I'm not sure. I know they argued if the ball got to the base first and balls/strikes, but not sure about fair and foul.
This thread is so great. I mean, you see so much negative and the positives are always forgotten. Man, hearing about all these Cubs things makes me want to play with them.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Re: The "positive little things" thread
The whole catcher experience, from him calling the game on IE reports, to the Catcher Cam. I'm the Angels vs. the Mariners, the catcher, Molina was calling the pitch types and I was going along as scripted. Ichiro, got a double the 1st at bat, and a triple the 2nd at bat based on Molina calling the pitch types. So when Ichiro got up to bat on his 3rd at bat Molina didn't call the pitch types and I was like c'mon dude call a pitch but he wouldn't. Some would say that is a bug, me on the other hand saw it as Molina was out ideas on how to pitch to this guy and left it up to me and I subsequently struck him out. Now here's the kicker, When Ichiro came up to his 4th at bat Molina started calling pitches that I threw to get him out when he decided to let me call the pitches. I was like damn, that was cool as hell.
Although it takes some getting used too, Catcher Cam after a few hours of training my brain and motor skills to adapt to it, is pretty damn awesome feature.Comment

I'm having a blast with this game. I believe that is some of the bugs/glitches(no game-killers for me) in the Xbox/PS2 versions are fixed in the 360 version, those guys will have a pretty good baseball experience.Last edited by RGmoney; 04-10-2006, 09:08 AM.Comment

Re: The "positive little things" thread
I also like IE based, the realtime reports, I like how you can scroll in the batters info, and if you have an IE, I like how when the count changes, if you leave it on weak vs. it will tell what pitch he's weak against in this type of count and it changes realtime.Comment

May have to upgrade to a purchase instead of trying it out. Keep them coming!“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment
