It's not nearly as bad as some of these people have made it out to be. I actually got caught up in playing it so much last night that I forgot to watch The Sopranos... Which I usually watch religously so take that for whatever it's worth. (probably not much)

yeah it took me a bit to get used to the pitching and hiting, (I hit now in classic mode) but after a few tweaks I am getting some pretty good games. There are certainly some transitional animation issues and other quirky animation issues in this game but they are relatively easy to overlook. After learning this pitching method I prefer above all the others i have played.

We were always here... Just been under the "supression" fire of all the negativity of the first few days.

Like Thrasha stated, this game is drawing me in the more I play and see different things. I see the good and the bad, but nothing that is a game killer for me. And did I tell ya how much a love the pitching this year...

I like the catcher cam when the computer tries to steal although it happens so fast, I don't even know what I'm really doing.

For some reason I can't steal a base. I have the X-box version and when I have a runner at first, I press "Up on the D-Pad and the x button" but nothing happens.

Sounds like Inside Edge is out it was made out to be.
            NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
            NFL - Buffalo Bills
            MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Try "X" then the direction of the base you want to steal.

Seems there are two different way to steal on page 16 of the manual.

Nice to hear some positives about the game. Guess it just reinforces the fact of beauty being in the eye of the beholder.

You have people here that love the game and hate the game. Whos right ? And if anyone is right how can this many people have such a huge varying of opinions ?

For instance many people here preach about MVP and MLB the show as if they are the holy grail of baseball games. But I think they both were two of the most boring baseball games i ever played. Am I right ? IDK.

Hey, Theres people that think walking around with a steel spike sticking out of your bottom lip looks good. Human beings are strange creatures.

Use the "L" stick toward the base you're stealing and press "X". Don't use the "D" pad.

IDk, MVP o5 was one of the best sports games i've ever played period. I would still be playign it now if I hadn't sold my xbox for some 360 games.

MVP 05's presentation was boring as hell, but it did play a great game of baseball. But it just bored me after a while. I disagree about the show, I think the presentation is great.

I think too that the presentation of MVP05 is what hurt the game for me as I would get bored after awhile.

I loved the menus, the "feel" of them, etc... sounds pointless and weird, I know. But the in-game presentation sucked. I felt detached, or something.
