I had no freezes prior to the patch. I downloaded the patch against my better judgement and it froze in the first inning. Big Unit was just standing there on the mound. I reset and start over. I swear after I reformatted my hard drive and played this game last night it played much much smoother with the framerate issues at a minimum. After I've downloaded the patch, the game is running pretty damn sluggish again. I f'n hate 2k sports. I guess I'll just re-format my hd again and hope it goes back to playing like it was last night.

Same here, pretty much no problems pre patch. Post patch game froze on me.
Deleted all relevant 2k6 baseball files & started over. Created another VIP file as i was not having problems with it. Played a 1-0 nine inning game after all of that wothout a problem, other than scoring runs. I need alot more work on the swingstick.

This is my 3rd copy of the game and it's sealed. I am very sad saying this but I think I'm going to take it back. $60 is a lot of money to me and if this thing were to freeze my 360 again I think I would really go postal. I'll hang around for another day to see what results people are getting and then decide.

Do you still have save files from CHoops & NBA2K6 on your HDD?

Guys also when creating your VIP make sure it's not exactly like your XBL GT or else your game will freeze. If you've done this, delete that VIP & create another-1 with a different name

Now this is becoming ridiculous. I had no problems prior. I reformatted my HDD Monday. I fired up MLB 2K6 last nite and it was silky smooth. No framerate issues whatsoever and the graphics and animations are sharp. I didn't have any freezing issues pre-patch. I downloaded the patch and the game went back to the sluggish, choppy graphics, animations, etc. I also got my first freeze in the first inning.

I decided once again to save all my files to my MU and to reformat again. I did this and downloaded the patch again and now MLB 2k6 is playing silky smooth again like it was last night. 2Ksports need to get their **** together.

I just got through a full game. I deleted my VIP after the patch was downloaded and didn't create a new one.

Before this I was rarely able to make it out of the first half inning. I didn't turn on the highlights that everyone mentioned defaulted back to off with the patch. Wasn't really something I cared that much about although a cool feature to have. I will wait to see what others say with having it on before I change it up.

This is a fun game to play and am glad the patch came out. After one game so far so good. I hope others have good luck as well.

How many games have you played so far since you just reformatted.

i'm playing a game now but I can easily tell the difference in how it play last nite after my initial reformat, after downloading the patch tonite, and after reformatting tonite. Last nite i was feeling the game. after the patch i was like ugh..now i'm feeling it again. something definitely is different.

I created a VIP and quickly got the black screen of death in the 2nd inning. Deleted that and went back to playing. 4th inning so far and no more problems. From what bigfnjoe kept saying, it may have something to do with the VIPs. Oh well, I really like the VIP but I'll survive. I'll try it again sometime later.

It's odd, but I've had a VIP from day one and really haven't had as many freezing issues as some of you.

That's why I always felt it wasn't the VIP. It might be a combination of VIP's from different 2K games though. I only have MLB2K6 so I'm starting to think it might be a combo of VIP's.

I could be but when I created a VIP everything started acting funny. For one, my settings in my franchise had reset. I had to set everything in game and second, I created a VIP under the second slot so the VIP1 would still be active. The VIP I created took over that one. Its pretty odd. I'll try again cause I need to play some darts in my sky box one day. No seriously, I like the unlockables. I will keep trying and see if the VIP cause problems.

Yes, I haven't deleted any 2k files from any game from my hard drive. My game started freezing about 6 games into my gm career just a few days before the patch came out.

Oh yea, one other thing I noticed. I dont see anymore fans grabing foul balls. After hitting a foul ball, it cuts back to the field before the ball even lands.
