I tried for two hours this morning to come up with some edits that would increase the difficulty of hitting fly balls when one pushes up on the stick, etc. But it's a waste of time. It's simply too ridiculously easy to aim where you want your hits to end up. Really some poor game programming on Kush's part with that one.

One suggestion I have which may help a bit.... put batter influence to 0 and turn off IE. This will elminate hot zones.

Baa, try lowering some of the individual player's home run ratings, that should help out a bit. Seems to be the only way to regulate it.

I haven't ever played with IE, or with hot zones or hitter's eye or whatever on. I shut all that off first thing.

That's the only solution for the HR problem definitely. But it doesn't cut down on the amount of fly balls. I've been testing a team with 0 power and HR ratings, and everytime I push up on the stick, they still hit fly balls to the infielders or just over their heads for bloop singles (a ton of those).

I took bigjoe's advice on the 75 and 25 contact and power for Ai and then flip it around for the CPU

It works nicely but I have since edited it to 55 contact/30 power for human and 30 contact and 60 power for AI with AI skill at 30

I have also put AI pitcher difficulty to about 65 and it works nicely with a good balance

I played a game with these sliders and I was the Yankees playing the Astros and I lost 5-4 with a hit total of 10 to 8 for Houston. Pettite K'd 7 and Oswalt K'd 7 as well... the realism was nice and it's the best game I've played so far

so thanks to Bigjoe for giving us this foundatin and now I just adjust it as I go
