Yeah, goes to show you you got to pick your own sliders out. Unless we all play the same type/ability I just use the guys sliders as a start and then keep tweaking until it suits me.

I've reached a point where I've found mine. Last night was a squeaker with Hoffman getting a 3-2 save agains the Giants. At first I thought, uh oh, as I hit two homeruns in the first inning, against Cain, but then it settled down.

Today my Nats took a 5-2 loss against the Dbacks. Everything felt just about right.

There are some sliders that just don't seem to want to stick though. Always have to do my pregame slider check.

I will post a set that represent the variables that are the same for everyone run speeds etc...around opening day.

yeah the sliders have something wierd going on AGAIN!
I check em pregame too. It a real bit-ch to get them to be right especially when testing.

I am glad everyone is find thier slider points! This is what i intended when I wrote the two threads. One thing i learned in ten yrs is the my sliders dont mean crap and now that im 36 not 26 its even more true.

There are sliders that do help such as my runners speeds and reactions and such but things for the contactg and power are definatly user preference. I merely wnated let you guys know that i figured out exactly waht they are adjusting and what they represent mathmatically.

This is correct for the USER. I reversed it for the CPU(25:Contact/75:Power) Then set the AI Skill slider @ 35 & got my @$$ whoop. My sliders are set from the Legend Setting. I'm still having a problem finding a balance between Power Swing & Step Influence

I just look at it as part of pre-game prep. With me it's the pickoff/steal/bunt that always needs readjusting.

Re: New Info on power and contact sliders

anytime you go into the slider section before you change anything pull the r trigger if it asks if you want to save say no, keep doing that same thing till you've gone through all the slider sets (3 x i think), then you can change one slider set and pull r trigger and say yes, or something like that, lol.

ps: now that i have lowered ai skill to 0 and upped the power i'm seeing more hard hit ground balls getting through the infield, at least it seems that way

Okay, had to set some of my DIFFICULTY sliders again, not all of them, which is strange. When I press NO the sliders that I have changed revert back to default?

I'm not getting this. Change the sliders, then when you hit the shoulder button press NO when it asks you to save them? Doesn't work for me.

Jim, after you change the sliders & hit the trigger it will ask to save. Select Yes, do this until you've changed all the sliders you need. After they get saved to your profile, anytime you want to change any sliders what you have to do is scroll thru each section hitting the trigger 1st. Everytime you scrool, you'll be asked to save, now hit no, until when you scroll thru all the sections the save question isn't asked anymore. Once this happens the only thing you'll need to after you change a slider in any section is hit A to ACCEPT & it will automatically save yo your profile

For sliders, I just make my changes hit the A button, it saves and exits and then I go back in to the next page that I want to make changes to. It's not ideal but it keeps me from having to answer the save question over and over and is less confusing overall.

That's what I was doing, but not all of them were sticking. Bigfnjoes way worked for me.
