Are you implying they sacrificed detail in this game for 60 FPS?

I guarenteed they sacraficed the fans. They had to be eating some nice resources last year. Look for them to be identical to "The Show"

... now I'm just being greedy.
I believe he said it used extra power and added extra heat to the machine for no reason. I think regular animation is 24fps so I dont see why it needs to be at 60.

I'm so happy we got some info, but what I want is some 360 exclusive info, these ps3 guys have had all the fun the in the past week. At what point do you guys feel the video will start rolling out? After CES?

Meh, only because it looks different (in a good way).

Anyway, yeah... my post had a sarcastic tone to it. I'm just really glad about the 60 FPS.

Okay I just read the interview and as I am loading the forums up I kept saying to myself, "the message boards must be going ape **** lol." I am very excited about this.

Man I hope this rocks. I am happy we are getting new play angle!

I agree that as good as this sounds, we need some footage to show both the gameplay & graphical improvements.
Still though, that interviews got me excited, especially knowing the PS3 version has been overhauled completely.

I guess that's what happens when as a gamer you get lied to so much.

But, honestly, there's a reason why people give Ben so much credit. I said it last year and I'll say it again this year; Ben has always come the closest to giving the fans what they want in a baseball game.

I'm not saying he's the one sitting down programming the code. But, it's extremely rare that you can take an interview from him (MVP days to MLB2k7) and find something that he lied about or didn't deliver on. He talked about MLB2k7 last year and said what he was hoping to fix. I remember that Graphics was his main priority. He talked about it for pages and pages. "I don't like how the caps sit on the player's heads." "We need to add signature style. Player authenticity." So on and so on. And he delivered.

Then as MLB2k7 was running in people's disk trays during the summer he talked about needing to fix the pitcher/batter duel, fielding, AI-decisions on and off the field. Now he's talking about it again saying that they did that.

I have a difficult time not believing him. He's never lied about stuff like that.

Everything that was an issue in MLB2k7 (exception, lineups in franchise mode) was discussed as rewritten and redone by Brinkman. I think that puts Brinkman right there with the SCEA guys that visit us. They listen to the fans and make changes.

A lot of the changes being made to 2k8 sounds like the things we saw fixed in MVP2004. Hopefully, we won't get a lefty bug
Excellent post. I think you're right & that Brinkman will deliver what he says without a doubt. Of course that's not to say that some serious problem couldn't occur, but hopefully that won't be the case.
I'm kinda worried about strikeouts in this yrs game since the K was almost extinct by MVP 2005..... at least for me & my CPU opponent.

Does Brinkman visit and respond to OS.com forums? Is he KushGamer?

                              No Brinkman isn't KushGamer.

Yes he does visit OS and has responded in the past. The last time he was here was on 10/2/07. I'm sure he and the rest of the dev team are very busy right now.

It's cool that they added all minor league teams but if you can't get realisitc pitch counts, foul balls, and walks, what does it really matter.
