My goodness. There is this much fuss over 4 game play videos which didn't even show that much? LOL

Cmon, stop jumping to conclusions.. most of you are being ridiculous and irrational. The writer who wrote the IGN.com preview said the game has overall improved over last years model. That's a positive in itself.

But yeah, lets hold Brinkman hostage over these 4 game play videos from a preview edition of the game.

While I'm not ready to toss 2K8 aside just yet(That seems over dramatic) there was nothing much other than the new pitching stuff that got me excited about the game. Too early to make judgments none the less.

We'll see what the future holds. Having a PS3 gives me the option of different baseball games so I'm good either way but I really hope 2K8 proves to be a keeper.

Gosh all the nitpicking here, most of the stuff people have mentioned I wouldn't even notice. I mean you gotta go over every frame of the videos with the fine tooth comb to notice some of this stuff.

As far as Jeter looking down the right field line....he was running to first. He knew it was gone, so he took off for first. I also tend to look the way im walking.

Seriously this is 4 minutes of gameplay. How can you make any sort of educated judgment on 4 minutes. I thought the game looked solid.

Also did anyone read the impressions? They clearly state the game is much better than last year? Isn't that the goal?

I will say this...I went back and watched some of the Vids from 2K7 (and they weren't even the intial ones) and this game graphically is much sharper than last year. I didn't remember the grass looking so flat in the preview vids because it looks so much better when you are actually playing it. Also, the animations do look better this year. I would just like to see some more video and see 60 fps.

Most of what we are complaining about should be seen in the first 10 seconds of a game and it simply isn't there and it won't be. So most of us aren't offline with our complaints some definitely are though.

My only question is why were these guys throwing purpose meatballs and I'm also curious when this preview code was from?? How much more time did they have to work on the entire game since this demo code?? I'm thinking a couple months but I could be WAY off.

Doesn't really matter if they were going to add presentation fix players looking the wrong way on homeruns and fix swing mechanics they would have done that long before the preview disks went out.

I never played "post-patch" 2k7, so the fielding camera is new to me.

One thing I noticed is that on the Col vs Ari video where there was a ground ball to the 3rd baseman. The frame-rate decrease, in combination with the camera panning from left to right as the ball was thrown to third base, made my eyes hurt.

I just don't like the cutscenes for the HR's. Is there an option to turn it off?? I like the way it's shown on TV. Leave the cutscenes and different angle shots for REPLAYS. Hopefully it's an option like The Show but not the end of the world if it's not.

Did you watch it high-res or low-res?

I watched it low res a few ago, and it didnt do that... I think there is an issue (like they have from time to time) with the encoding of the higher res version of videos.
