Re: **The little things thread**
Hanley Ramierez went down on one knee to swipe at a sharp gounder, it hits his glove and ricochets into the outfield...nice deflection angle, not just the ball going through him.
Not sure if it's team specific, but someone in Oakland's crowd yelled 'Beat these Idiots' against the Red Sox (Haven't heard it from FLA or ATL crowd against the Mets)
Collision (minor) between Santana and Delgado while covering first.
Castillo covering first when Perez was out of position and Delgado had fielded a ball halfway between 1st and 2nd. Castillo was charging it and kept on going towards the bag. Rare for the 2B to do this on a non-bunt play, but I've seen it happen in a real game.Last edited by MaricopaMetFan; 03-07-2008, 02:22 PM.Comment

Re: **The little things thread**
Yeah, a few days ago my pitcher (forget who) took the third pitch of the game off his melon in the form of a screaming line drive up th middle. It put him out of the game with a concussion. He was laying on the ground holding his head rocking back forth like he was dying......sweeeet !!!
Oh yeah, almost forgot..........the ball richocheted off his head straing back to my catcher for an easy out at first. That was a hardly a consolation prize as my pitcher lay there in agony ...... LOLLast edited by Hoos; 03-07-2008, 06:42 PM.XBL Gamertag: hoos4974

Re: **The little things thread**
When playing against the Yankees in New York and after an inning it did a camera pan where it started at the subway and then brought you over the top of the stadium then you could see inside as the players were getting ready for the next inning to start. Very cool.Comment

There needs to be a lot more shots like that. They don't show off the stadiums nearly enough.I am become death

Re: **The little things thread**
2 things:
1. I swear Alfonso Soriano does a little hop just before he catches a pop-up. I looked at it in a replay, and I think he hops.
2. I was down a run at Wrigley against the Brewers, and gave up a couple of hits to start the 7th (I think). I went 2-0 to Ryan Braun, and the crowd started getting louder, trying to cheer me on. I got a strike, and suddenly the whole crowd was on its feet. I even the count at 2-2, and the place got really loud. I proceeded to serve up a 2-run double (oops), and everyone sat right back down and went dead silent. The crowds certainly aren't perfect, but they are VASTLY improved from last year.Of course, if Dawson gets hot, and
Sutcliffe comes through, and....
Pa, see what you did to me?

2K has really improved the crowds for Rivalry type games.Comment

Re: **The little things thread**
I hit a looping liner up the middle. The second baseman made a diving catch and had a nice ice cream cone. He popped up and showed it to the ump before running off the field. It was so cool to see the ball extended out of the top of the glove.Comment

Threw a 3 - 2 pitch as Dice K, batter takes it and heads up the line...then the ump punched him out to end the inning!
Had a Manny line drive down to third, A's 3B leaps and deflects it over to the SS for an out.
Also had a Brave take out Reyes at second, and the ball got loose. Fortunately, Castillo recovered it in time before the runner who had just made it to third could score.Comment

Re: **The little things thread**
Was batting with Winn against Lowe, with Dave Roberts on first. Took the first pitch up the middle off of Lowe's leg, the ball pops in the air and Nomar catches it for an out. Dave Roberts almost got tagged for a double play. Pretty cool, to bad after the game, the game froze in the menu screen...Originally posted by LonghornAt least, no matter how many years go by, I know I will always have Acid's sister to fall back on.Comment

Tonight in a Braves @ Reds game I hit a line drive in the hole and SS Alex Gonzalez dove and made a snow cone catch (you could see the ball poking out of the tip of his glove)...as he was laying on the ground he holds it up for the ump to see.
