Yeah it sucked losing him big-time!! His record was 2-2, but his pitching was much better than that. His 2 loss's were only 1 run games where I just couldn't get my offense going.

Also, I hope he stays healthy in real life too. When he came to the cubs I knew he was kinda fragile, and everytime he throws I just keep waiting on him to come up lame. Just glad that Lou really tries to limit his pitches in his starts. Last year he was only throwing about 60 per game. Which I think is why he was the 5th starter last year that way he could throw 60 then use up the pen. Next day Zambrano on the mound throw's 120 pitches no pen well at least sometimes. Other times Zambrano gets rocked, and out of the game by the 2nd inning. That guy is so inconsistent I still can't believe he threw a no-no last year!

I'd like for you guys to keep us posted on the injuries, I currenlty don't use them as they seem to occur a bit too often. I would like to know if too many players are missing 30 days or more at a time....knick Knack injuries happen, but big injuries like A-Rod's for instance where they are out for a long stretch only happen to a club no more than 2-3 times per year. You guys are not even a 1/3 into the season and losing players for subtantial time.

        Re: FRANCHISE PROGRESS

I restarted my franchise, not because of injuries but I wanted to start out with new sliders and make sure I had new rosters.

I simmed up to my game in my original franchise.

I'm 7-2 with the Phils. THis time no injuries so far.

        First franchise I lost

        Hamels for the year
        Sheets for the year
        Kendrick for 2 months.

          Ian Snell had a decent line: 6 IP 2 K 0 BB 2 ER W

Adam Wainwright was knocked out of the game in the 4th (7-2) at that time -- then Pujols hit a 3 run homer in the 9th to tie the game at 7-7.
Snell got the win despite going to 11th innings? i know MLB FOM has a error in reporting the correct winning pitcher and losing pitcher, as well as save. This isn't in this game right?!

Hey guys...I posted 3 new write-ups for the above 3 games on my blog just now, go check it out.

The last two Philly games were pretty much uneventful as I had my way w/ the Rockies in both, but the Royals game was awesome!

              hmmm,

Looks like your getting too many hits easily with Philadelphia. Have you tried moving down your hit success down by 5?

It should be a rarity just like it is in real life to get 15+ hits in a game. Like 1/15 odds or maybe 1/20 depending on the team.

Thats what I'm striving for, to find a set of sliders where you can get 15 hits but it is a very rare occurence. I'm really having trouble finding a good accurate set of sliders for this game just like last year's game, which I never found in months and months and finally just sold the game.

Actually the Phillies averaged about 9 hits a game last year. To have a couple games in a row where they beat the hell out of the ball isn't unlike Philly baseball, and when you look at what I did as the Royals in comparison - when 5 hits were only charged to CC, and the rest the bullpen - the sliders I'm using don't seem to off.

I mean Derek Lowe shut me down, and I couldn't get a run. Javy Vasquez was doing ok, but I eventually got to him, and the ATL bullpen couldn't hold me.

                I faced Colorado's 4th and 5th starter, and they're weaker than ATLs 4th and 5th starter.

I'd say the user offense is right on, its just the CPU offense in these games, w/ exception to the Royals game (I think that was pretty spot-on), that has been off.

I see what you are saying. Im excited to try out your sliders tonight as they seem to have a lot of what I'm looking for.

Can guys who aren't known as power hitters hit home runs? Have you seen this yet on any of your teams.

I got one gm in tonight and lost to CLE 7-5 after Johnny Peralta went deep twice off Gil Meche, and had 5 RBIs.

I did have 13 hits, and that was w/ contact previously at 10 w/ power at 70. I bumped contact down to 5, and moved power up some to compensate for the loss in contact.

This should hopefully produce less hits, but still get a good qty of XBHs went getting good wood on the ball.

Report back you're results as I'm eager to see what you get out of these.

Mostly just the swing stick, but I do use the left direction stick sometimes. I have it's slider lowered though so that it won't have a HUGE effect on my hits because I still want some capability of directing a hit.

Just got another game in last night I am 4-1 w/ Mets. I had a
7-0 victory against the Padres last night. It was a fun game despite the score. I was only up 2-0 going into the 8th Maine was a beast for me!!! 9.0 innings 5k's, 1 BB, 7 hits allowed. I think I will change a few sliders but, overall I am happy I had 9 hits and 1 HR, Delgado hit a grand slam in the 8th. Maine was my 1st starter to go past the 5th this year, my bullpen needed the rest.
                          Gaming hard since 1988

I have won like 25 Super Bowls in Madden so I am kinda a big deal.

I decided to restart because I made trades I didn't like so I chose the Brewers this time around because I like Fielder of course and Cameron and the pitcher too. Anywho I'm doing the 52 game season again and still sim 26 and play the other 26. My record right now is 18-12 I believe with my only trade being pedro martinez after I signed him for andy pettitte.

                              Do you use catchers suggestions?
Also do you use the IE Feature?

I use catcher suggestions about 75% of the time...I've only purchased IE reports for one team for each of my 4 user controlled teams.

                                PHI - ATL IE
                                KC - DET IE
                                BAL - BOS IE
                                WAS - NYM IE

I don't want to go and buy every teams IE, I want it to be a progressive thing. I haven't had a problem w/ not pitching to IE all the time. What I've found is finding a way to hit your corner, or place that BIG ball cursor just barely in the zone.

                                I'm using K window OFF.
