I am about to become 13-7. Astros are number one after pulling off a 11 game winning streak. They are 16-4.

They've won 11 games in a row w/ that pitching?

Did they sign another starter?

I am 9-3 w/ my Mets. Lost 2-1 last nigh and won 5-0 this morning vs. the Nationals. Delgado hit HR #7 on the season. Both were fun games the 2-1 lost was awesome I hit a double w/ 2 outs in the ninth Beltran at 1st I tried to score and was tagged out at home great finish.

Wow. Delgado's hit 7 HRs already. Howard is off to a typically slow start for me, having hit only 3 dingers w/ 14 games played.

Utley leads my Phils in HRs w/ 4. Werth has two and Ibanez has two, Ruiz one.

No HRs from Rollins yet .

Wow. Delgado's hit 7 HRs already. Howard is off to a typically slow start for me, having hit only 3 dingers w/ 14 games played.

Utley leads my Phils in HRs w/ 4. Werth has two and Ibanez has two, Ruiz one.

No HRs from Rollins yet .

I have been adjusting the sliders he had 5 HR's after 7 games and has hit a more realistic 2 home runs in the last 5 games. Beltran has 4 Wright has 4, Reyes has 2, Church has 1 overall I don't think the stats look too crazy. I know 18 HR's in 12 games looks high but in the first two games I had 6. so 12 HR's in 10 games is more realistic especially w/ this lineup.

This is great. Werth is batting like .118 for me LOL

Howard has 7 and Rollins 6!!!! in about 16 games.

I'm on hold now will play some games but I'm going to restart when the new patch comes out, even if you don't need too.

Haha, I am not sure, I will look into their rotation and team and scout it out and figure out what the heck they are doing down there!

I am 14-8 now, I just came back in the bottom of the ninth to win a awesome game. Hamels is getting roughed up, Myers is my best pitcher.

Howard leads the league with 10 dingers, fast start, but my beginning sliders were bad, Ibanez has 8 and Utley has 4.

I figured I could play the next 2 games anyway and here's what happend in game #2

Brewers 1 9 0
Giants 2 8 1 (first baseman thing AGAIN,this time it cost me that run because picking off at 2nd wouldn't work and it was in the top of the 8th too!)

My 2 came on a Manny HR. I had Lewis on first,took the first pitch (a ball for once!) then stole on the 2nd wich was a pitch out but the throw pulled the 2nd baseman off so Manny got a good 3rd one to hit. He was however a fielding liability and I removed him in the top of the 7th. I had runners on 2nd and 3rd in the bottom of the 7th with 2 outs,Cain comes up actually gets a hit but not one deep enough for anyone to come in. Renteria flew out with the bases loaded. Lewis is now the lead off man and Renteria second.

Cain was player of the game with 8 innings pitched,8 hits given up,7 strikeouts and 1 unearned run. 0 walks either way of course. Wilson got the save giving up 1 hit and having 1 strikeout.

Turned injuries off to fix the Manny problem wich I probably should've remembered before clunking Braun.

Game 3

Brewers 0 4 0
Giants 4 7 0 (yay no errors this time)

Fred Lewis led off with a HR on the first pitch of the game and then in the bottom of the 5th got a single and proceeded to make a dang fool out of Dave "they're half way to the base by the time I throw the ball" Bush by stealing 2nd,3rd and home. Renteria also had 2 steals. Ryan Howard finally produced getting a 2 run HR and a triple. I tried a squeeze play but missed the bunt so didn't get him in.

Randy Johnson was the player of the game going all 9,again no walks and 8 strikeouts.

Man. Hamels has been getting killed for me too.

He's 0-3 w/ an ERA in the 6's; he is leading Philly in K's though w/ 21 and has the best K/Per 9 of any starter.

My best game w/ him was the season opener w/ the Braves, and that has been the only team I've used IE against...hmmmm .

Although he lost 2-0 to ATL, he pitched 7 innings striking out 7, and giving up a minimal # of hits.

Hamels also pitched a gem against San Diego, but was facing off w/ Jake Peavy who too pitched a gem; Cole got a ND.

The biggest issue has been the SIX HRs Hamels has given up through April!

I'll be pushing his next start back to begin the first series w/ the Mets to start off May, and I'll be purchasing the IE for NYM so it should be a good start for Hamels. Hopefully I can get him his first win w/ it being a new month and all...

Since my last blog post I've played through the April Milwaukee hm series, and two games into the 3 gm roader w/ FLA.

FLA put the hurt on me in gm 1, winning 12-4. However, I returned it right back getting another great start by Joe Blanton and getting a 6 run 8th innning to pull WAY ahead and win it.

With that said, my best pitcher through most of April has been Joe Blanton; Myers would be 2nd best. Blanton got the start in gm2 of the FLA series, and through 6 IPs gave up only 3 runs on 5 hits w/ those 3 runs all being solo HRs; he also struck out 6.

My bullpen has been horrible as of late too. How about yours?

Ryan Madson over his last two outings has been pegged for like 9 runs, and Lidge has blown 2 saves in April too. However, I've managed to hang on and win those games in the following innning and altogether Lidge has 3 Wins instead of like 4 or 5 saves (he has only 2 Svs).

I just cant seem to get any cpu offense with BFJ'S latest sliders.
I also am getting way to many base hits with his set, I am getting about 15 hits a game.
I am not really scoring a ton of runs, just too many hits.
I would really like to know what you are currently using so I can try them out.
Right now I am 11-3 with the Reds, my team ERA is right around 3 and my team BA is .330.

I've had to up my human power to 100.

- Upping It hasn't had a drastic effect on my power output w/ Utley or Howard i.e. making them HR monsters, and I maxed it out in hopes to see HRs from Rollins, Victorino, Feliz, and others who are capable of the longball but not power hitters. I've yet to see a HR w/ Rollins, Feliz, or Victorino but I've only played two games since maxing out power.

Success and contact are still the same. Success @ 40 coupled w/ AI pitch success @ 70 has seen my user offense dip way down; which is good because I was getting way too many rinky dinky singles.

I dropped strike zone for CPU P to 5, and pitch zone to 20. W/ that changed I have a better chance of drawing walks, and get the CPU SP into deeper counts. It's all been in a fairly SIM manner too.

For instance, I was able to draw 4 walks off Braden Looper vs MIL, but in the 1st gm of my aforementioned roader w/ FLA Josh Johnson shut me down through 6 innings.

Only giving up one hit and 1 ER, which came after he walked Rollins (Johnson's only mistake), who then stole 2nd, and Utley doubled in the only run and hit Johnson gave up after 6.0 IP; he'd also finish w/ 8 K's.

That would be the only run I'd get off of FLA's starter in that one, and that would be the aforementioned game that FLA beat me 12-4.

So I only got to play 2 games this weekend, both against the Mets, and I notice they are a quiet team until the 8th inning. Ha. I won the 1st game 4-3, Moyer pitched 8 innings and Lidge came in and shut them down. The 2nd game, I was winning 2-1 the whole game, and I bring Madson in the 8th to be the bridge to lidge. Well he ended up being the bridge to Eyre. They won 5-2.

My bullpen has been consistent minus Madson, for some reason he is getting lit up like the 4th of July. Everyone else is pretty decent, Durbin and his sinker are so boss. Only Madson has been doing anything horrible, his ERA has to be in the high 9's. Lidge is in the 1's, and the rest are scattered between 2 and 4.

I am finally getting some solid hit totals, not double digits. Howard is a monster, everyone else on my team is batting in the .300's, minus Feliz and Coste, but he is batting in the mid .400s. I am using the sliders I posted in the slider thread. I may move up my power a little bit, but I dont want to see too many hits or all runs scored off of HRs. Still working on it. I am loving this game more and more.

Next game, will I will play tonight before 24, since the Fiancee is going to look at flowers for the wedding, Kendrick is going against Santana. Kendrick got moved to the pen and then blew up, so I moved him back to the 5 slot while Happ went to the bullpen. Santana and Hamels seem to be having same season, high ERA.

I am intruged about this real life rumor, Marson for Clay Bucholz.

I am already a loser in that aspect, the only time I get to play is when she is sleeping basically! Haha. I wake up before work to play most of the time, when I get home from work, we hang out and spend time, and then go to bed, so I game when I can! That is why I want Madden and NCAA to have in game saves! = )

I have been living with her for 3 years now, haha, she knows I get my videogame time, but once you have kids....

No.

The only other change I made was to CPU fielding. Bumping it up considerably to 55 because I hadn't seen hardly any errors by the CPU teams.
