I wanted to run two AL/two NL.

If it wasn't the Nats it would've been the Pirates, but since I live about 20 miles from the Beltway I have a love/hate relationship w/ the Nats.

Hate them when they play the Phils, root for them otherwise.

      Re: FRANCHISE PROGRESS

Peavy shut me down last night.

I did give up 2 runs - one my fault one first time I ever saw the OF glitch.

I try to always move the stick and this time I didn't.

I was down 8-2 going into the 9th and put together a a 4 run 9th before he shut the door.

Was odd the CPU did not sub peavy after he gave up 2 runs. THE AI has been pretty good with that.

Anyway - Now 7-3. I simmed up to that game, my old record was 8-1 but new roster I wanted to restart. hopefully I don't have to restart after another patch.

You shouldn't have to restart after the patch. I never had too w/ other MLB 2K titles, and never had to w/ NBA 2K8/9.

I've played two games since my last played game where I beat the Yankees 3-2.

Cleveland is on the verge of sweeping me after Meche and Bannister were both lit up. Will post those results later in the day.

Yeah I know I haven't had to in the past. Although in the past MLB titles I couldn't get past the third inning Really enjoying the game, just fine tuning now with the settings. I like to get 3 or 4 games in with them before I make a decision because 1 game just doesn't do it.

ETA: the worst part was I was leading the league in HR's 6 by Howard before the restart. I wasn't sure if I had the right rosters and turns out it saves it as Roster so I did have it all this time ... oh well

I'm hoping to make some tweaks tonight which will give me the results I'm looking for - less user hits.

Traded Rickie Weeks in my Brewers franchise for Akinori Iwamura because the rays had him on the block and Weeks wasn't getting it done for me. Iwamura has instantly added defense and base hits for me so it was a good trade.

Well i'm at game 50 over half-way to the all-star break. Currently i've led my cubbies to a 32-18 start, and am running away with the division with the pirates 5 games back. Zambrano, is continuing on his Cy Young season leading the league in Wins, Strikeouts, Innings Pitched, and ERA sometimes he is just nearly unhittable. Other pitchers are more human!! LOL! Soriano, who had really been slumping for me since my game 30 went 12 games without a HR, and was something like 6 for 60 in that time frame. However, over the past 8 games he's gone on a tear knocking in 9 HR's, and a load of RBI's still a long way's off the HR leader who is Cabrerra with 24 HR's in 50 games which is crazy Fonzi has (16). Still struggling with stealing as I get thrown out way more than I am successful. Trade to note the Astro's had put Michael Bourne on the block, and I landed him for Fukudome, and a AAA prospect which has been great for me since I couldn't get a hit with Fuku to save my life was 4 for 46 with him on the season. Just finished a 3 game stretch at wrigley against the Dodgers, and all 3 games I went into the 9th with a 5 run game, and all 3 they rallied in the 9th to either tie or come within one of tieing. I managed to hold on to win all 3, but the 3rd game I was really sweating it in the 9th when I was up 1, and they had the bases loaded with no outs, and Marmol on the mound, but Marmol made me proud, and struck out the next 3 hitters. The game definitely has its faults, but they are not nearly bad enough to keep me from having fun with it. Will update again in about 30 games or so.
Wow, have you played ALL your games or simmed some as well? Huge Cubs fan here too. In my opinion, you gave up a lot for Bourne, but at least you get your speedster and he must be great and running down fly balls which is huge, especially how fielding is in this year's game. Thinking of making any other trades or are you one to try to keep the original roster as intact as possible?

When I start my Cubs franchise, I am thinking about trading Soriano away for some top/young prospects. Not really fond of his huge contract, or him for the most part. If I want to sway away from realism, I am thinking about trading for Longroria My trade logic is that I always try to overpay so that I don't get the feeling of ripping of the CPU. Thinking of giving them ARam or Soriano/Vitters/Dempster or M.Price (AAAtop pitching prospect). Fair trade on paper...but unrealistic that the Rays most likely won't trade him.

What difficulty setting do you play on? Sliders?

                    Re: FRANCHISE PROGRESS

20-13 second in our division, my teams defense is not great but it's decent but our offense is one of the best. I have a great pitching rotation with Yovani Gollardo and Dave Bush leading the way Bush is the top NL candidate for the Cy Young right now but that's probably because I'm playing the 26 game season but either way he's killing them on the mound. Mike Cameron is my leading hitter with Ryan Braun and Prince Fielder right behind him I think I will make a deep run this season but we'll see.

My wife bought me this game for the PS3 on my Bday which was March 3rd and haven't even put it into my PS3. Ive been playing the Show but I will eventually pop this game in for a change of pace.

I dont want to be jumping back and forth since im finally getting used to the way the show plays but will put some time into the game really soon.

Yeah i've played every game I just have it on the quick play thing so you can get thru a game pretty fast. Have lots of free time since I was in a bad car wreck a few weeks back, and have my leg in a cast so I can't do much else, and daytime tv sucks!!

Unfortunately, it looks like i'm gonna have to restart my franchise which is a bummer, but in the past 3 games i've lost Lilly, Dempster, and Marshall all for injuries of 110 games or longer. Currently my rotation is Zambrano, Gaudin, Guzman, Pignatello, and some other minor leaguer. Gonna have to restart with injuries disabled since losing 4 of my 5 starters is just ridiculous.

Updated my blog...I played the 2nd game of this series too, and Peralta dealt a loss to me again w/ a 4 RBI game - he didn't hit a homer this time though.

Anyways...I'll post just a little blurb on that one later as it was a frustrating game...

When the patch comes out I can restart again. I just get bored when i'm just playing play now games and what not. Needs to have some purpose to the whole thing. So, for now i've restarted a whole new season, and lets see where this one goes.
