    Re: FRANCHISE PROGRESS

Just won 5-2 vs the Padres.

    Hamels went 8 innings. 86 pitches - 4 K's.

    Box score went

    SD 2 - 11- 1
    PHI 5 - 10 - 1

Utley went yard to break the game open.

My biggest play was San Diego in the top of the third has bases loaded 1 - OUT.

I think Giles was up not sure. He tried to check his swing and hit a dribbler just out in front of the plate. Ruiz picks it up and I get the 2-3 Double Play!!!!!

I uploaded a video but where the heck does it go??

Playing with BFJ sliders with some tweaks I took from JBH and SFB. I like where they are for now. Will play a few more games with them. I still think hitting is a bit easy.

      Re: FRANCHISE PROGRESS

My Mets are now 6-2 I beat the Brewers 12-1 and 4-0. I have only let up 1 run in my last 3 games, time to adjust some sliders.
      Gaming hard since 1988

I have won like 25 Super Bowls in Madden so I am kinda a big deal.

        Re: FRANCHISE PROGRESS

Restarted for the last time I wanted to get a good young team so I got the reds and this time I decided to do the 162 game season where I play 81 sim 81 I know it's gonna take a while but I want it to be good stats. My record right now is 55-52 which is alright I guess, Jay Bruce and Joey Votto are doing well for me.

          Red Sox Franchise

I finally started my Red Sox franchise last night (I wanted to started with a solid Slider set).

          --------------------------------------------------------
          Game 1 (Season Record 1-0)
Red Sox: 2 Runs, 9 Hits, 1 error
          Rays: 0 Runs, 4 Hits, 0 errors

The Sox broke through in the 5th with two outs; a Jason Bay single scored two. Both Shields and Beckett were sharp, while Papelbon slammed the door.

          --------------------------------------------------------
          Game 2 (Season Record 1-1)
Red Sox: 3 Runs, 8 Hits, 0 errors
          Rays: 6 Runs, 13 Hits, 0 errors

Pitching with a 2-1 lead in the 6th, Matsuzaka unraveled -- giving up 5 runs before he could get pulled. Kazmir was solid, if not spectacular, and the Rays avenged their opening day loss.

            Re: Red Sox Franchise

I'm playing a Cardinals dynasty using Bahnzo's sliders and it has been tough. I can hit the ball all day, unless it's Mike Hampton I couldn't hit him if my life depended on it, but I have no pitching. I'm currently 3-5 and Pujols is the only guy on my team with a homerun and he has 6.

I played two games this weekend. Beat SD both times, and both were great games.

I tried some things out to make user hitting harder, and it worked...I think I'm going to run w/ this slider set for awhile. I'll post the sliders to my blog tonight.

Here are the finals from those two games:

              Peavy vs Hamels

              SD 2 8 0 - XBH 2 2B
              PHI 3 13 1 - XBH 4 2B, 1 3B

Phillies won this one in 13 innings (my first extra inning gm) after a Victorino triple scored the winning run. Detailed blog post coming.

              --------------------------------------------------------------

              SD 0 3 0 - XBH 0
              PHI 1 4 0 - XBH 1 HR

Ryan Howard hit a walk-off HR in the bottom of the 10th to win the game; Chris Young and Brett Myers were pitching lights out.

I am getting huge offense with both teams.

                  My last game

                  Fla 5 13 - 1
                  Phi 8 - 18 - 2

5 total HR's. My sliders are close to yours. Wacky.

I've simmed a few games but I'm giving up the long ball a lot

Teams and matchups. Who was pitching for FLA? Neither pitcher were of Peavy's or Chris Young's stature that's for sure, and Florida's lineup is MUCH better than SDs.

Those differences make all the difference.

Started my season with the Atlanta Braves yesterday. Keep in mind I'm playing 2K7 with the 2009 Rosters.

I traded Rafeal Soriano and Omar Infante to the Reds for Brandon Phillips and a relief pitcher who's name I forget.

                      SS-Escobar
                      2B-Phillips
                      3B-Chipper
                      RF-Franceour
                      C-McCann
                      LF-G.Anderson
                      1B-Kotchman
                      CF-J.Anderson

I'm still looking for some better defense in the outfield, I might traded Garrett Anderson before deadline.

1st game, I defeated the Phillies 2-1 with Derek Lowe. Tight game, with Chipper getting the go ahead RBI.

                        Re: FRANCHISE PROGRESS

I just started to use JBH3's sliders, it was before his most recent change, and the first game I won 3-0. The hits were a lot less, but I need more offense from the CPU. I saw he adjusted his AI Success, so I plan to do the same, but his sliders are the best ones out there.

Anyways, my franchise is going well, just trying to find those right sliders. I am 11-6 so far in my franchise with the Phillies. So far I have traded a minor leaguer and Geoff Jenkins to the Nationals for Josh Willingham. They had a surplus of good OF and Jenkins was making too much money to sit on the bench. I brought up JA Happ to be my 5th starter and put Kendrick in my bullpen.

                        Here is my team;
                        SS- Rollins
RF- Werth(Willingham is playing due to Werth injury)
                        2B- Utley
                        1B- Howard
                        LF- Ibanez
                        CF- Victorino
                        3B- Feliz
                        C- Coste
                        P

                        Starting Rotation
                        Hamels
                        Myers
                        Moyers
                        Blanton
                        Happ

                        Bullpen
                        Kendrick
                        Park
                        Durbin
                        Eyre
                        Romero
                        Madson
                        Lidge

I am tempting to trade for David Bush though, I believe he is on the block. Ruiz is on the block for me, I am thinking of upgrading at catcher or bringing up Marson
                        Philadelphia Phillies
                        Philadelphia Flyers
                        Dallas Cowboys

I maybe looking to add another starter too, although Chan Ho has been great in two starts thus far.

Using the Giants 1-0 so far. Signed Manny, traded for Ryan Howard. Zito's on the block but that doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

                              Won 2-0.
                              Brewers 0 5 0
                              Giants 2 7 1 (first baseman glitch)

Lincecum was player of the game for the CG SO with 8 strikeouts and of course no walks but 1 hit batter because they hit Manny and injured him so it was in retaliation. Sandoval had the best hitting performance going 2/3 with both being triples and 1 RBI but didn't get home either time. Fred Lewis was 2/4 with 1 SB. Guess my other run scored on a passed ball because there's only one RBI but I don't remember what happend.

Of course now I have to halt my franchise because of that injury glitch where players with minor injuries don't heal.

I maybe looking to add another starter too, although Chan Ho has been great in two starts thus far.

Yea. Reds got raped on that one.
I was going to do that with JC, but I was like, it isn't even worth it. But Happ is getting light up like an X-mas tree, so I am going to look around for a 5th starter, but thanks for your sliders bro!
