Id like to know what the camera angle is also. I figure I need to start practicing other modes using the same camera as my player, since I cant change it in my player. And now that ive played so much myplayer, I'm kinda getting used to it anyway. Obviously, I could keep messing with the settings, but its amazing how 1 little tick between the zoom or height can make a big difference (that you dont necessarily notice right away)

Actually, thats why I asked... because i HAVE gotten used to the camera in my player. So now I would like to be consistent and just use the same camera angle in other game modes as well.Comment

Re: MLB 2k12 How's Your My Player Going Thread?
Im nearly done with my first season in Minor League ball as a CF for Northwest Arkansas Naturals, the affiliate for the Royals(picked team at random). I'm an all around type, and am hitting .418 with 2 HR's and 60 something RBI's. The only goal left to accomplish for getting called up is stealing more than 10 bases....i'm at 9 right now. Is it just me or does it seem harder this year to time a good jump for stealing?Comment

Re: MLB 2k12 How's Your My Player Going Thread?
I'm on my second year as a starting pitcher and, frankly, I love it. To me, it maximizes the best aspects of the game, which is pitching. Most of the glitches and bugs that affect the game are not present when you just pitch, since you're rarely seeing the fielding. I do hit sometimes, and actually my dude isn't terrible; somehow I've managed a couple of extra base hits and RBIs on occasion.
I've advanced to AAA and I hope (and believe) I'll be in the majors before the end of the year. It's early May of 2013 and I only have one more target attributes to hit (which will take me at least 4-5 more good starts to build up those points).
Loving it!Comment

Re: MLB 2k12 How's Your My Player Going Thread?
I have played 15 games with a LF for the Harrisburg Senators, the Nationals AA. I am a contact hitter and am batting .404 with 13 RBI so far. I am really having fun with this mode, a lot more than I did last year. The only problem is my players speed. I swear he's pulling a train, once i get my speed up, i should be ready for a solid MLB career!Chicago Bulls

Re: MLB 2k12 How's Your My Player Going Thread?
Played 5 games into my major league career with the Angles as a CF. I did great in the minors. In the majors, not so much lol. The five games were, 1. @ Oakland went 0-4 2. @ Oakland went 4-5 3 Runs, 3 RBIs 1 Walk 1 Strike Out and 1st career HR 3. @ Oakland 1-3 1 Strike Out 4. vs. Detroit 0-4 5. Vs Detroit 0-4 1 strike out. I play on All Star. My second game of my career(the one where I hit my HR) was great. I was on base and witness a clutch Albert Puljos Grand Slam.... Good times lolComment

Re: MLB 2k12 How's Your My Player Going Thread?
I'm now 8 games into my Major League Career, finishing up an extra inning battle with the Phillies that didn't go our way(Braves SS). I'm 8-30 in those 8 games, so .267, which isn't amazing but, I'm adjusting from AA pitching to MLB talent(considering 3 of my first 4 games were against Tim Lincecum, Matt Cain, and Madison Bumgarner, I'll take it). I do have 7 RBI's already though, taking full advantage of the opportunities with men on base, .417 with RISP.
We're heading into September in contention for one of the two Wild Card spots, I hope I can help lead the team to the post season!Comment

Re: MLB 2k12 How's Your My Player Going Thread?
My right fielder's lack of range so far has turned a few singles into triples in AA but he's hitting and a couple into in the park home runsbut he is 12/25 at the plate with 3 RBI and 2 runs.. 3 K's.. .714 with RISP.
Twice I've called on to steal for a hit & run and the refrigerator on his back still, means it's still an easy double play.
I'm a much bigger baseball fan than basketball, so maybe that's why it's more fun than the NBA 'My Player' so far but far less frustrating than that game.View Through My Lens sports photography

I'm super close to the majors now with my SP in year 2; it's mid-May and I've reached all the necessary attributes. All I have to do is get a dozen more strikeouts and then it should be time for the Mets!Comment

Re: MLB 2k12 How's Your My Player Going Thread?
Approaching the last week of the 2012 season with my SS. I managed to get a hot streak, which has my contact up from 74 to 88, so getting hits has been a lot easier at the moment, hitting .324 at the moment. I hit my first big league home run in my latest series, at home against the Miami Marlins. It was a shot to straight away centerfield, a 2 run bomb off of Ricky Nolasco, part of a 3 hit night for me.
Unfortunately, the Braves as a team have not been as productive, as we've gone 10-14 so far in September to fall out of contention for either wild card spot, and have "aided" the Phillies in retaking first place in the NL East over the Miami Marlins. I'm just looking for a strong finish with my bat and looking forward to spring training and the 2013 season.Comment

Re: MLB 2k12 How's Your My Player Going Thread?
I am a total newb in MLB 2k12. Actually, in baseball too, but i loved my player mode in this game. Made 1b slugger in Colorado Rockies. After 30 something games, i finished my last goal for call up(10 hr's) with a 2hr game(1st ever). When i entered majors, in 3 games i've hitted 2 homers(3rd game was a no hitter 4 me).
After that, i think i've hit NOTHING BUT AIR. Literally, i had to sim rookie season just to get ANY production(in every key game i played, got 0 hits). Spring training, same thing. 0 hits, let alone RBI's or HR's. So, couple games into season, i putted down difficulty just to hit like ANTYTHING. Played 2 games even on rookie. Got couple of HR's there, so i decided to increase difficulty up again. Since, like i said, i'm a total newb, it's only on pro, and i will increase it later if i feel too comfortable with hitting. But i don't mind. My rockies are division leaders atm, had a 10-1 streak in wins(that 1 loss was @Nationals, we were up 5-0 and after 1 inning i saw 5-6.) I think we are something like 22-6 atm in record, so things are going well for me and my team(Have 9 or 10 HR's atm, and 29 RBI's, i think that is ok even though my batting average is way low cause of bad start of season).
CAn't set 1st of goals(have goal to enter playoffs, and have series goal, but that 1st one i didn't get). Funny note:If i put 3b as my primary position, i end up playing games in 1b, and vice versa.Comment

Re: MLB 2k12 How's Your My Player Going Thread?
Here's a question.. the game has me stumped a bit.. the batting goal 'Get ahead in the count' has never happened for me.. the pitcher throws 2 fastballs down the middle so I'm down 0-2 each time that comes up if I take 2 pitches. Does the game consider 2-2 or 3-2 to be ahead in the count? It's obviously not being ahead in the count but maybe that's how the 2k people see it?
That's not to say I haven't gotten ahead in a count, just not on that goal.Last edited by DHMN69; 04-23-2012, 01:57 PM.View Through My Lens sports photography

Also, with that goal in particular, I've noticed it is harder to accomplish that goal in the majors compared to the minors, as obviously, major league pitchers have better command of their pitches, so they're more likely to fire strike one. It's still accomplishable though. Since my guy is a contact hitter, I can usually spoil and foul off 4 or 5 pitches and work the count full if I have that goal and can't get it before it reaches 2 strikes.Comment
