1B for Jacksonville Suns (AA affiliate of the Miami Marlins)

Currently having a lot of luck with My Player in 2k12. Through 12 games, I am a 63 overall.. batting .440 with 5 homers and 16 RBI's. Really enjoying MP mode a lot more than I did last year.

I think I'm about done w/ this game mode. I have a SS whose contacts is in mid/upper 70's and power is in the mid 60's. Seems most AB's ate popups or hit in the infield for an easy out. Ever CPU defensive player catches every ball they dive for.

I was about to say F this game and trade it in. I decided to play a MLB today games as the Reds versus the Indians.

Completely different game. Not only were there hits, but a variety. The CPU even made errors. No idea why I'm seeing different things like that in the different modes.

Yeah, My Player mode gets old quick. The mode as a whole lacks both depth and variety, especially when you player as a non-pitcher.

That's the thing, same sliders all around. My player: the ball either goes into the gap, is caught by and outfielder, or doesn't get passed the infielders. Playing an actual game, I'm seeing balls to the corners, guys committing errors, home runs. Idk what it is

Exciting game against the Pirates. My CF for the Astros is up in the 10th, takes a big swing, and gets not only his first walk off hit, but his first walk off homerun to win the game.

I was a 2B in the Cubs org and was getting pretty good hit selection. I just like the flow of being a SP so I haven't gone back to my 2B player, but I didn't have the issues you were referencing.

Did you ever tinker with your batting stance?

It could have an affect. Also, gotta watch how you direct swings. Sometimes you may be doing something subconciously. I get hit variety no matter which mode I play so I cannot replicate your complaint.

Just started a Center Fielder. Was wondering if the Speed and Acceleration stats are factor with fielding in running down flyballs or if it only matters with base running?

If it is a factor, should I concentrate more on the Acceleration or Speed or keep them going evenly?

From what I noticed with a CF I made, RANGE was the deciding factor on getting to balls, not the base running speed, etc stats.

So far my LF is doing well is the majors: 71 overall .334 2 HRs 12 RBI

My only problem is my lack of speed, it's currently 64 and stealing bases/hit and runs are not coming as I expected. I'm not even going to attempt to steal a base at this level until I get at least 70+ speed.

I bat anywhere from 7-9 and play 1st base in AA. (3B is my primary position.) The reason I don't play third is because Chone Figgins is in AA and bats leadoff, playing 3B, haha.
