Starting first full season at majors.. the way it's going I might as well have started at Single A.. 2 for 23 in the first 5 games 2 singles 1 run.. everything is a fly ball or popup batting .087. 2nd in the league with 4 SB. Somehow with that pathetic offensive start, still not in a 'cold slump' but expecting it quickly since I can't get anything to drop in for a hit.

Can't believe 'My Player' hit .373 in the majors in two months of the previous season

I'm playing with a CF and I just finished my first "called up" season.

Now I'm starting what should be my first full MLB season.

Do you guys know when will I be able to choose my personal season goals?

I keep getting my email saying "now that you are a MLB player you will have season goals that you have to pick at the beginning of the season " but I'm already 3 games inside regular season and I haven't been asked for them to pick!

        Is this normal?

How many games has you're team played? Did they just start the season?

Hey Guys I'm new to this and just had a question and was hoping you guys could help me out. I bought MLB 2K12 last week and started My Player mode with CF. Everything is fine but I noticed the game is only lasting 6 innings. At first I thought this was because of the minors, but even when I got called up, the game ends after the 6th inning. I looked through all the my player settings and there is no way to change it, anybody know how to fix this??

Check your box score after the game.. you could have been subbed out.. it doesn't tell you, it just ends since you're out of the game.. usually only happened to me when they put in a pinch runner but it could have been a defensive substitution

It happens literally every game, and it shows the game ending with the catcher running up to the pitcher and the announcers calling the game.

Re: MLB 2k12 How's Your My Player Going Thread?

i got this game for ps3 a few weekends ago, and im loving it. especially the my player mode. i created a RF for the orioles but ended up changing to a 2B. i made him my height and weight 5"11 170(?not sure on weight atm) and i was called up to the orioles about halfway through my first year. i started out slow but finished strong and ended the season in the majors with 6 homers and around 20 RBI. my guy has became a monster at RBI. i requested a trade to my favorite team Tigers, and im loving it. im in the middle of my sophomore season. i just finished playing all star break. i won the homerun derby, and the all star game was something special. score tied 3-3 in the 8th inning, im up to bat with my teammate miguel cabrera at 2nd base. 2 outs, 2 strikes, i hit a homer to seal the game and we win 5-2. i have 38 HR and around 100 RBI for the season. hoping to get some awards and maybe a world series at the end of the season. this mode is addicting!

After finally completing all my call-up goals in the minors, I made it to the big leagues in late July. I was batting .398 with 4 homers when I left AA.

My first game with the Twins I was slated to hit 5th. I collected a base hit and drove in a run in my very first MLB AB. Then I went hitless for three games and was hitting .066 before getting 2 hits. Have hit two balls to the warning track thus far so the power is coming.

Hello guys I'm new here. I recently started a pitcher, he is a strikeout pitcher. He has a 96 mph fastball a change up and a curve all, I was looking to purchase a new pitch and I'd like to know what you guys suggest. I'm currently in AA corpus Christi hooks for the Houston Astros, they are my favorite team and I just assumed I could stick on the majors easily with their lack of pitching

How could you have such a speedy fastball, playing in AA? My closer are playing in his 4th full MLB season (5th overall) and have only 98 mph fastball. And I completed almost all training drills at gold level. Or you are spending your skill points in speed up too?

Btw, max slider speed in career mode is 93 mph.

I decided to spend all points to getting a quick fastball(not my best idea), I'm just looking for a really good pitch to get next, what are your suggestions? Or are you suggesting I get a slider, I don't get what that comment is replying to.

In my opinion, to have five different pitches as soon as possible is the best way. Even worst your pitch may be best to throw in some situations, because hitter is not waiting it if you throw it rarely. Then you can improve those pitches you want, but I think all three pitch attributes are important, not only speed. Especially at all-star level, where control attribute is so important because of low default control level. Also you can gain +1 attribute x 5 pitches = more skill points gain from training drills (at gold level). Max slider speed is just for information.

I'm about to hit the All Star break in my first full major league season as the starting CF for the Royals(picked at random).....we are not good, but I'm hitting .307 with 6 HR's and 47 RBI's, and 4 SB's, and am currently near the bottom of the top 10 for all star voting for CFers. I'm currently an 81 overall.

Re: MLB 2k12 How's Your My Player Going Thread?

Had an interesting bug last night.

Playing in AAA. Man on first. Hit a long drive to left center field and stretched it out to a double. Was just getting to second base when I noticed the runner that was on first was just a couple steps off of second toward third. I continued in to second and the runner in front of me came back to second also!

We were both standing there with both having a foot on the bag! The cutoff man had the ball but just stood there. I tried to move but couldn't. I moved my right stick and the cutoff guy through it to the catcher standing in front of home plate. I couldn't move no matter what button I pushed. The catcher just stood there with the ball.

My player and the other runner just stood there going through their motions of bending over stretching, adjusting gloves, etc, normal base runner movements, waiting for the next pitch.

I sat there for a good five minutes smashing buttons trying to get something to happen, but nothing. Finally just hit the power button and went to bed.

                                Anyone else had this?
