Hey does anyone know if you can change the camera angle for batting. Does it automatically use the angle you have been using in normal games? I know you could change this last year. Thanks.

Interesting problem I have to figure out.. my center fielder with the Twins AA team is almost ready to get called up.. and I even gave him #34, though he's 6'3 200 lbs unlike Kirby.. anyway

When he's on first and a ground ball up the middle.. he won't run! he waits on the double play throw to second then makes his move.. Even when I hit & run on my own without it being the goal.. when it's the goal of course, he runs when I tell him to but that's the only time.

I should have been a Red Sox player instead of the Twins.. I love that letter high fast ball and in a series in Boston I've peppered the green monster for 4 doubles

Ok after all the cold streaks I am finally doing pretty well. But I still have a weakness on the "Key Match ups" or "Key Games" I still struggle a lot in those. I don't know if it is the pressure of more points on the line or what.

Well, i also struggled a lot in key games. Everything in my player mode comes with time. I loved my struggles when i was a Rookie, even though i hated the fact that i won't be ROTY. It added realism in this game for me. Now, i am 96-7 overall, hit at least 1 per game(i simmed most of the playoffs last year and somewhere along the way lost my hitting streak that was 120+ games and in the new season i have 30), and i am trying to find the right version of sliders. I still suck in franchise mode, because there i am always impatient(i did started out with Pirates, but i don't think even them should have 2 runs in 3 games, even though it was vs Phillies). Love the fact that you have to earn the call but i think my player mode needs to evolve much more(for example, you'll be traded everywhere you want, they don't care)

I am a starting pitcher in my rookie season with the Blue Jays and my fielders are killing me with errors. This happens almost every game. Does anyone else see this? I am playing off of pro based sliders.

Has anyone else cut off dynamic player ratings which is basically hot/cold streaks? I did because it seems that it is too inconsistent. I got thrown into a cold streak after 2 hitless games. the next game, I got 2 hits. the next game said I was on a hot streak, and in that game went hitless. The next game I was in a cold streak, and from then on, I could barely hit any balls out of the infield. I just said screw it and turned it off.

I'm now in the majors - hooray!

Curious, though, if anyone had a similar reaction to getting called up to the big leagues as I did. I don't want to say what that reaction was, but if you would like to discuss for a project I'm working on, let me know.

I dislike the effect of cold streak on a high overall players. I lead league in every major hit category, and my ratings are "down" because i ain't in a hot streak apparently with 50 rbis and 19 HR's and .450 ba.. Stupidity. I mean, EVERY hit category. Even those in sabermetrics. Pujols has 12 HR's in 30 games and he is in cold streak just because he has high overall...

I think you misunderstood the streak system. Every statistical category is counted for this system. So although Albert may be hitting homers, it could be he has a low OBP or low AVG compared to before so that could his cold streak.

But nonetheless, this system somehow is flawed, yes. It is somehow overdone to my liking.

I was along the same lines as you until my game last night. 3 for 4 and a RBI. Then the next game I'm on a cold streak. WTF? After that game, I immediately turned that option off. That doesn't make any sense at all.

                          @wudl83
I get your point, but it's wrong in couple of ways. I do understand how h/c streaks work. I get that it's a wider period than 2-3 games(4 weeks to be precise) and it pays attention to all categories, not just rbis or hrs. But still, if i lead the league in every possible hit category except triples, how can they go down? I have best BA, HR, OBP, SLUG, RBIS, DOUBLES, 1B, TB. Hell, i even lead the league in steals. There is absolutely no reason for my ratings to go down for 1 point(every single one of them) . Or Pujols for that matter. His other numbers aren't bad at all, actually he is in top 10 in most categories. So i could only find 1 solution, our overall ratings were 2 high for us to be in hot streaks(as we should). So basically, if you have a player of 95+ overall, count on him to be in cold streak unless he puts up some monster-like numbers during 4 week period.

I am so dominant that in 3Baseman voting for all star, i have 1.8 millions, 2nd place guy has 400000.... So how can i lose a point per rating, so that my overall is 96 in games, not the real 97?

Trying my first 'My Player' pitcher.. starter named Rubber Arm.. almost hope to create another Bert Blyleven.. though I chose my most hated team, the Yankees for him to start his career

Brought a no-hitter into the 6th inning in first game, the pitcher I created is Fastball, Sinker, Cutter 7k's 2 hits for 6 innings, stranded men on 2nd and 3rd on one of my 3 called third strikes.. aka backwards K's

Only got this game to get pumped up to go to some Mariner games (got tickets for 3 days of M's vs RedSox @ Safeco) going to be fun.

Anyways..."My Player" is a Catcher. one word on the game play...AWKWARD! mostly in the baserunning. Can't wait to see how he turns out, I'm just doing the My Player as a self training, then i'll start a franchise.

I think playing as a Catcher is cool because the fielding is super relaxed,ie bunt, pop, block an occasional plate.

                                Basically i'm with machinarium:
"Well, i also struggled a lot in key games. Everything in my player mode comes with time. I loved my struggles when i was a Rookie, even though i hated the fact that i won't be ROTY. It added realism in this game for me."
