That could be one of your problems you have to intentionallly throw balls on this game. How many of those pitches were strikes?

i just played a game and won 7-1. i actually didn't hit any homers which was a nice change but i had like 17 hits mostly singles.

are these sliders for default hitting or zone hitting?

Yes. When pitching with Beckett especially, if you throw balls up and in, a foot outside, curveballs in the dirt, not only are you setting the CPU up for better pitches, it seesm that sometimes the hitters become more patient and you can sneak the occasional backwards K by them. You have to throw pitches for balls, and a lot of times, especially with 2 strikes on them, they will chase that fastball chin-high for the strikeout.

Mix the pitches balls and strikes. Be a pitcher. They throw pitches for balls on purpose for a reason.

I'm using TCB with both Batter's eye & Zone OFF. Chappy like curry stated, throw some balls of the ball once in a while, you will see a difference. I was doing the same thing as you. I then started wasting pitches & before I knew it my pitch count was about 85-90 a game. Yet not totally realistic, but much better than the 55-65 pitches I was throwing in 9 innings.

just played another game and it was a nail biter, it was tied 1-1 in the bottom of the ninth and pig papi hit the walk off, lol. the game is a lot more fun that's for sure with theses sliders. i did notice that the cpu pitcher doesn't throw enough balls, so that may need tweaking and of course the cpu still swings at every strike and it's too easy to pitch it exactly where you want every time, but that's the games fault not the sliders

By the IE pitching do you mean the thing that makes the red and blue zones come up for the CPU batters? Doesn't it also cause the pitch zones for the CPU when you are batting?

You could use that. It's called IE K-Zone & it's found in the Presentation Settings. I'm more talking about using the D-PAD (left/right) which brings up the players IE Hitting Tendencies.

Do you use it? And if you turn it on do you have to have it for both batting and pitching? I kind of like it for pitching, but it distracts me when I'm hitting.

Really wish we could turn-it OFF for when Hitting but you can't. I've been using it & love it for pitching but also hate-it for Hitting

Are the sliders in your first post the latest update? I downloaded them from 2Kshare and there were some differences from your first post sliders.

Hey BFJ, what slider would I want to tweak to get the computer pitcher to throw more balls out of the strike zone? If it is doable.

I agree Joe really helps with pitching, i which you could turn it off for batting. Your sliders posted yesterday i had 12 strikeouts with Johan & 10 with Hamels I had fun pitching, but i did struggle with hitting and making good contact. I am going to try your new set of sliders. Great work Joe

Drop the AI Strike Zone to 10 & AI Pitch Zone to 50.. I'm actually going to put those 2 back because I wasn't seeing enough balls compared to before...

I liked it better when you had it in your first set of sliders where you had the AI strike zone at 15 (or 10) the Cpu was throwing balls Thats where i am headed back to at 15 or 10
