I mentioned this previously, these are NOT on 2KShare as my internet connection is in another room and it's difficult to connect unless I start moving stuff around. If you want you can upload them, but please give me credit, please title them Padgoi's Post-Patch Cursor Hitting Sliders. Thanks!

I use Total Control without release timing, just as you do.
For hitting I use Classic Controls, I feel cursor hitting is difficult enough without having to mess with the Swing Stick.

By the way, for those who are following, I've updated the first post with a few new revisions as of today. Please let me know what you think of the changes.

I just wanted you to know that I made an account today just to thank you for these. I forgot how much better cursor hitting is IMO.

        Thanks!!

I made a few last tweaks to the sliders. I had put pitch speed back down to 60 but it became a hit parade and I couldn't find a happy medium, so I put it back up to 65 and changed my hitting approach. Instead of hitting with the bat cursor level (default), I started putting the bat cursor a little down in the zone to start each at-bat and it's worked very well so far. Definitely try this, your homerun numbers should be a bit more realistic. It'll be difficult at first to catch up with the pitch speed of certain pitchers, but hopefully you'll experience some realistic numbers.

I also increased gesture recognition to 70 as I wasn't walking anyone at 65 anymore (I think this may have to do with composure rating, it may have been better at 100) and raised user baserunner speed to 75 as well as throw-out success to 75 (and I'm still not throwing out the CPU on steals).

Please let me know if you see anything else that may need tweaking.

Very good! I'm striking out alot, but I think that has more to do with not playing cursor baseball for the last few years than it has to do with the sliders. I've had some good games so far.

            Noob to "cursor" hitting...

I presume, this is using the "batters eye" circle to guess where the pitch will be, and the "hit success" is based off of whether or not you're looking to the right zone?

I like the sound of this, for it seems there is some skill/guesswork needed to get hits and score runs, rather than simply be able to just have good timing to get hits.

Any info on the cursor hitting will be much appreciated, for I am interested and willing to give these sliders a shot (I CURRENTLY USE OS/BFJ's SLIDERS).

            Thanks guys.

              1. I do not use the batter's eye.
              2. I keep the cursor low in the zone because the computer tends to focus on the lower portion of the zone when pitching, resulting in a lot of weak ground balls and strike outs.
              3. You definitely need more than good timing to get solid hits, you need to have good hand-eye coordination to get your cursor on the ball quickly.

I may be crazy, but getting hits with the cursor seems more unscipted than with the default settings. I'm seen way more variety in the types of hits I get. Anyone else notice this?

Yes, in addition to the challenge it provides, I think most us using it do so because the ball-to-bat physics seem much more natural compared to the timing-only/swing stick method.

Yes, as QB said, cursor hitting definitely seems much more unscripted, better ball-to-bat physics, just a better representation of true baseball IMO.

On another note, I just tweaked a few of the sliders again, I wasn't really walking anyone, I was easily pinpointing my pitches and never even had a 3-ball count so I went back closer to the original Pitching sliders as they were garnering more realistic results in terms of accuracy.

I honestly feel I'm close to finalizing these.

Im actually using these for regular hitting, i do use the stick to hit however i dont use batting eye or the bat to line up the swing angle.. and have been getting some pretty competitive games with good results... so these sliders apparently work for any type of hitting used

i think the comp batting should be lowered from 65 to 55 or 50 there getting way too many clutch hits what u think?

I'm getting decent stats with my current sliders. If you feel the CPU is getting too many clutch hits, either lower the CPU Batting Success Slider to 60 or lower the User Gesture Recognition slider to 65.

I thought so to, so i lowered the cpu success slider all of the way down to 50. Was shutting the cpu down and went on a win streak. So started bumping it up and now it is at 60 and i think my pitcher's gesture recognition is at 60. We will see what happens with these.

I've been inching the CPU success slider up as I get more comfortable with pitching, although I use the classic method. I had it at 50 last game and shutout the Padres -- through 7 anyways, have it saved -- with Ian Snell on about 85-90 pitches with 6 or 7 Ks. Perfectly reasonable stat line, but they had like 9 hits, so they probably should've scored along the way.

Anyways, I think a move to 55 or 60 is in order for me...
