Is anybody giving up walks pitching to the AI batters? I give up very, very few. I'm getting to the point where I'm going to purposely give up walks in a reasonable fashion.

And - yes I have pitching sliders maxed out in difficulty.

I like the pitcher composure a lot. I agree that pitchers don't get rattled that easy, but I really like how the cursor shakes this year. It only starts going haywire if you start getting close to the edge of the strike zone. So if you are a little rattled and you try to be too fine, you'll have problems. The more rattled you are, the more off the edges you have to stay to keep it from going haywire. It forces you to throw closer to the middle of the plate if you get behind in the count when you are a little rattled. It's a lot better done than in the past, imo. I got so rattled this morning that the strike zone disappeared. I thought that was cool.

Guys just wanted to say, after setting up Bigs sliders I set off to start a franchise with the Angels. First game of the cactus league against the rockies. Those players on that team are brutal with power. Weaver did ok, but gave a monster job to tully. So to say my bullpen calasped big time. But a few hits later on the bottom of the 8th I started to get some good contact with a few batters. Then a fly ball to the CF 2 outs, he drops the ball. First of I have seen and this was my only game that i started. But over all a good game besides the 7 run 8th.

I lost the game but it was a battle at the plate each and every-at-bat. I hope this patch comes soon cuz I think the errors and off throws would be a nice to touch to these sliders, with the Pitch Counts of CPU. Well see what happens with the rest of the season games.

I'm really digginig the Live updated scoring on the outta town boards. It is HOT to see your division rival scores. Nice touch, final only 10 yeras to that! One thing is for sure 2k really wants to give us a great Baseball experience, there trying with patches but heah if it works then ok with me keep ummm coming.

I had to edit my pichers pitch control sliders in the roster editor to get a higher ball/walk count. works good.

does lowering thye fielder speed and arm strength make fielding more challenging? right now it doesnt feel like I have any control over fielding.

First off, i'd like to say "hi there" to everyone as I'm new to this site. I've been browsing sites like this since the early High Heat days but for some reason haven't posted till now.

Thanks BFJ for the sliders. I'm playing on PC, and the game is so much better now using these sliders. Ive played 5 games in to the season with the Braves and am 3-2. The offense seems very realistic on my end. Pitching is too easy though, i think. Team ERA is 2ish, but I have given up a few HRs, so that's good. Also I've only played the Cubs and Giants so it was D Lee and Kung Fu Panda plus a couple others that went yard against me.

I'll post back again after I get a few more games under my belt.

Oh, I'm striking out like Dave Kingman meets Richie Sexson. But that is because I swing early most of the time.

                Thanks again!

Welcome komakino00 here's hoping you enjoy your time @ OS. As for User Pitching being to easy. The reality is this is IMO ratings based & needs to be addressed within the Living Rosters Updates. Right now I believe the User Pitcher Settings we have seem to be good with out over-doing it.

I mean yesterday I played an exhibition game (Yankees) V (Pirates) Joba was on the mound. His control was good. He did leave some pitches in the zone which were crushed (thinking about changing the AI Hitting Sliders to 40/80)

This should help with the AI swinging & missing. It also should help those 400 FT HR's (2 which I saw last night 1 from Ronny Cedeno)

They said there is a big roster update coming up. Anyone know if they will be tweaking the ratings in it?

Downloaded these today. I think I used a version of your work on PC last year. Started my franchise with the Cubs and played the first spring game to test them out. Pretty nice so far. Cubs win 2-1 over the Indians. I'm not very good at hitting but I will get better. Indians out hit me 7-4 but Soriano hit a two run shot and I held the Indians scoreless until the 9th. Zambrano probably had 10 K's in the start. I drew 1 walk as well. I like my player but might wait to play that more as I am sick of the manager leaving me in when I am dog tired to get shelled and ruin my outting. Now I just need to decide how I want to play this season. Last year I did a game every series and all playoff. Might tone it back to a game a week this year and jump in some supersim moments as well.

Well, I'm in a spring training game using these sliders and I think they are great...With that being said, for me the hitting is a little bit too easy. I think turning the Human batting contact down just 1 notch (from 50 to 45) would make it a little more realistic.

As far as pitching..I found this to be a little bit too easy as well. Would it be fair to put the CPU Power at 95 and increase their contact to 40?

I think my second game I won 5-2. It was like 9 hits to 7. Can't remember because it was earlier and frankly I'm a little torn up. Still stats seems to live up to RL. Now I just need to lay off the ball.

Ive really wanted to try these sliders, but the only thing that keeps holding me back is the Human Power slider setting at 35. Other slider sets have their's at 100 or near it, however, while they are decent sliders, they could be better.

Now I know I could take these sliders and just up the Human Power, but I'm curious if you guys are seeing realistic homerun numbers. Because even with default power, I never hit a homerun, and that's playing almost exclusively with the Cardinals who have good power. Even with grooved fastballs that were timed right, I never hit anything to the warning track. I'm using classic swing BTW. Is there that big of a difference as far as power goes between Swing Stick and Classic?
