Re: mkharsh33's Sliders...Classic Hitting
Well, I'm 37 (almost 38) and my pitch recognition & reflexes probably aren't as sharp as yours...
But after raising the pitcher composure (cpu) to 45 I actually enjoyed it a little more. I need a larger sample (only played one game) but I lost 8-6. I played as the Cubs (vs. Reds) with yesterday's matchup. Soto hit 2 homeruns for me and had 5 RBI (including a 3 run shot)...but my bullpen blew up and gave up 5 runs in the 8th, turning a 6-3 lead into an 8-6 loss.
One theory I have: it's possible that you playing franchise games takes into account player slumps or streaks? I only play exhibition games, and I've wondered it that has any bearing on things... I don't know.STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

MK as you know I always give you props on your rosters... But man, I have to say you finally got me to convert over to classic hitting and it really does change the game for me.
I really wanted to give swing stick a fair shot, but it's way too buggy for me this year, so this is a great substitute and it really does bring some reality to hit variety and totals.
Big props on the sliders and combined with your rosters... nice mix

Re: mkharsh33's Sliders...Classic Hitting
Thats funny as I too am 37!
I have to say I still love this slider set, I am now 60-38 in my Reds season.
I am 9 games up on the Astros, my team ERA is 3.77 (and rising) and my team BA is .301 (and falling).
I found something really interesting, I am not for sure if the game takes hot and cold streaks into account but I am pretty sure it does. Votto was batting over .370 about 10 games ago and now I can not get a hit with him. I am 4-44 in my last 10 games with him.
One thing I am fairly certain about is the "fresher" (the higher the # the more rested they are) the better they play. I won 8 games in a row before the all star break and my team ERA was under 2.5 for these 8 games. Well after the break (all cpu batters were rested and at 100%) I lost 5 games in a row and allowed 8 runs per game during that stretch. Well after those 5 games the cpu players started to become more fatigued and now I have won 5 of 7.
The whole fatigue rating/setting really affects the cpu because they never rest their players vs you. Again my theory is when the cpu players are between 90 and 100 on there fatigue they are damn near impossible to get out. But again they will now last that many games with this high of a fatigue rating because the cpu uses the same line up every game.
I noticed playing the Astros last night their catchers fatigue was at 50 and they still played him. He went 0-4 against me and struck out 3 times.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

Re: mkharsh33's Sliders...Classic Hitting
I thought the franchise aspects might have an effect... I'm having fun with this game - played one the other night (I was Cincy vs. Pitt). Was losing 3-0 until finally scoring a run in the 8th inning and then Jay Bruce blasted a 3-run homer in the bottom of the 9th to give me a 4-3 win. Very cool walk-off animation...STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS

Re: mkharsh33's Sliders...Classic Hitting
I'm going to give these a shot now that I've finally got the game. I will likely switch to Classic hitting at some point but for now, I want to give the Swing Stick a shot.
Thanks for the work on these and the rosters.Currently Playing:

These will not work with the swing stick, you will kill the ball.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

Re: mkharsh33's Sliders...Classic Hitting
I'm continuing to have fun with these and the variety is good... Seeing new things pop up every now-and-then...
Stormchaserck19 - No, I do not believe you can use my rosters in My Player mode... Sorry about that, but many have confirmed the freezing problem. I have maxed out the 50 CAPs and have 25 man-rosters for EACH level of every team, so that might be the problem, but I don't know... You're probably stuck using 2K's official rosters, which though they provide them, are not nearly as good as what I've done with them...STEELERS INDIANS CELTICS
